I might actually try it. Although I don't really feel like creating a dual boot system with Windows XP. Hope there is a way to get it to work on Windows 7 64 bit.

Never played this one, but yeah, us rotor heads really need tree collision. It's just such a killer when you are able to fly through trees :S

Always good this kind of stuff! Lol
-
Let's agree, once it's here, a new topic is made entitled "its REALLY Here!!!!"
-
I think this has been done because of those severel (flight)sim websites posting news about the page as if it was an official recently released page instead of a WIP page from 2012.
-
You must not visit a lot of other places on the internetz. Compared to most other places, this place is rather mature actually ;)
-
Yup. Especially as different sites are actually officially linking to it as an up to date release page
-
The page was never officially released and not meant to be found/read by visitors  Someone in the Russian forums just tried manually typing in URLs and found the page. It already has been confirmed that this page will get a full overhaul before release, with updated and more elaborate information (and screenshots I presume). Ok, maybe they should have pulled the page offline or some big IN PROGRESS/UNDER CONSTRUCTION text. Again: the page you are referring to is NOT meant for public viewing, even though it is possible. Furthermore, the price has been confirmed as stated on that temporary page. But for pricing discussion there is another topic somewhere.

Fly only choppers as well. Although I'm now trying to move to fixed wings as well, probably starting either with the DCS World Su-25 or maybe BMS. Not really interested in Warthog.
-
So, moving on, what's the first thing you guys will do when you get your hands on the module? Straight to free flight? Straight to a mission? First a tutorial? I think I will just do a cheat startup and try to hover/get away from the airfield and crash and burn completely probably before skids get off the ground..

Hahaha, great story Krebs :)

Slightly different edit of the UN campaign video with different music and a few different inserts (posted by the same user on the same channel):
-
Same here! Regarding the link in post 1, look at the date at the top introduction paragraph, seems like this page was already built and/or written in 2012 :) Which probably means the most recent announcement, with the 39,99 price tag, is correct. Still a nice find and gets excitement pumping even more!

Order history gone, ticket 19030, no response since january 26 2013
manne replied to manne's topic in Payment and Activation
It has been resolved. Support eventually merged my "account" and "account1", so now I can login with my usual credentials "account" and I have access to my order history. Thanks! -
I think there was an issue with the store, and eventually the sale was extended even after April 1st. You might have visited right at the time the technical issues were going on with the store. I'm not sure though, but I seem to remember something like this being mentioned in the forums.

Just to add to the confusion, I use the same email address for DCS.com as lockon.co.uk, so why my account was split in the first place is unclear. My flaming cliffs order confirmation with download link to lockon.co.uk is in the same mailbox as my order confirmations for DCS.com modules.... I did not use two different mail addresses to begin with (as far as I can see). -

Eagle Dynamics merged accounts in their back end (or something along those lines) and my original account does not contain black shark any more. Eagle Dynamics created a second account (without informing me about it) which is originalusername1. I cannot login on this account (my normal account password does not work), nor can I reset or request a new password (I tried several times). I do not get any answer however as to how get access to the account Eagle Dynamics created when merging. I even had to find out after 60 days they actually created a second account, so they never even informed about this whatsoever. I learned about this so called account merge or migration through the support forums actually (not by mail to customers for example). -
I'm trying to get in contact with the CEO of Eagle Dynamics. I have found an (old?) general email address of Eagle Dynamics on a 3rd party website (main@eagle.ru). I have no idea if my e-mail will actually be read or forwarded to the CEO. To be sure there won't be any unecessary delays, I post the e-mail here as well, hoping that one of the moderators or ED testers are able to forward the link and/or update the CEO about this so he hopefully can address the issues raised in my e-mail.

ED support does not answer support ticket for 75 days already
manne replied to Sergeal's topic in Forum and Site Issues
Welcome to Eagle Dynamics. Don't expect any response, except from EtherealN who seems to be the only one who actually gives a shit and is willing to look into support tickets. How it is possible this business practice continues is beyond all comprehension. I'm waiting for 10 weeks as well, so I'm at 70 days.... Vote with your wallet I guess. Eagle Dynamics won't see any more pennies from me in the future, unless they seriously fix their support issues. -
Right now I'm completly done with Eagle Dynamics. The way the customer support handles these issues and the lack of response is baffling. My complete updated post can be found here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1719437&postcount=7 as I won't iterate the same message on two different threads. I will stay civil in my replies, but I'm really on the verge of screaming out loud a big F*** Y** Eagle Dynamics

I'm someone who treats others, especially customer support, with the utmost respect (I have worked on customer desks for a few years myself). But really, who are we kidding here? After the initial 2 months of waiting, and finally the first reply 2 weeks ago because I posted here about the lack of response, yet another 2 weeks have passed without any response. I'm truly baffled about this situation and how Eagle Dynamics is handling the current disasterous customer support situation (read: not handling the situation AT ALL). How it is possible this business practice continues is beyond all comprehension. Seriously, if the CEO of Eagle Dynamics has any respect for it's customers who are providing the company with income, he would come in here to all these threads about support issues, and reply to all of them in person, apologize for the situation and offer short- and long term solutions for these issues. But I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. As for my future purchases for the DCS series: in what way will Eagle Dynamics be influencing support requests or other services of 3rd party modules like Belsimtek's Huey? Is this done and organized by the author of the module, or is this handled by Eagle Dynamics as well? I'm really looking forward to the Huey module, but as for the current situation I don't want to have anything to do with Eagle Dynamics administration wise. Maybe only for providing the download (assuming it will actually be available on my account when I buy or want to install it later in the first place ). Is someone able to explain this relation with 3rd party modules and Eagle Dynamics role in this process? That would be great. EDIT: oh, and btw, who is the CEO of Eagle Dynamics? Is there a way to contact him directly by email? I will (politely) give him a piece of my mind. If anyone has a direct email address, please be so kind to PM it to me. In the end he is responsible for how the business is run, so he should be made aware of the issues plaguing his support department. UPDATE: I found an email, I will try that one. -
Found this one on Amazon as well (Amazon UK). 4 pounds + about 4 pounds shipping for good quality used book. When I read about it here I immediately bought it (because I really enjoyed Chickenhawk as well). Now waiting for it to arrive :)

I'm starting to wonder why there is no official response from the customer support department (or individual) or the CEO of TFC/DCS in regards to the lack of response and other issues raised by multiple members on this forum? I'm glad somebody looked at my issue after I mentioned it here on the forums (I'm not sure how long it will take until I do get access to my second account though). But with all do respect, I'm seriously re-thinking if I ever want to buy any future modules for DCS if these complaints don't trigger anything within the company  It's hard to believe the customer support is too busy to answer a ticket within 2 months. And even if this is the case, there need to be some serious rethinking about communications to the customers, addressing the issues raised and what things will be changed to prevent these situations in the future. I really would like to hear from an official source that these problems are acknowledged and steps taken to prevent this from happening again. It really pisses me off and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Especially seeing how many people seem to have issues with the customer support in general. It's 2013. There is no excuse to treat your paying customers like this. - A sincere thanks to the moderators/testers/community managers who are willing to look into issues raised here on the forums and looking for solutions. But this measure should not have been needed in the first place though.
