I've built a night mission (was initially a day mission, but I realized I couldn't really see the flare during the day) with the new flare trigger. I have it all set up properly, but I am realizing that the flare only lasts for around 10 seconds. How would one go about changing this value to something a little more realistic, so that after my infantry "fires a flare" I can spot it on my approach to support them. As it stands, they fire the flare, and I can't even spot it before it goes out, amongst the fire and tracers in the background.

Ah. No planes from Buckley are mentioned, nor are any A-10s. So I'm guessing no?

Red Flag?

My wish: Sattelite terrain in the Mission Editor like in Lock On. I miss that so much when setting up missions. =(

For the type of waypoint you'll want to choose takeoff from parking, not runway.

I was walking home from school today and heard a jet engine. Being a total freaking plane nut I looked up to see what it was, if I could identify it, and to my surprise I saw an A-10. I've never seen A-10s flying here before (I live in Aurora, Colorado, about 5 miles from Buckly AFB), and wasn't aware of any A-10s being stationed at Buckley (Last I knew it was all F-16s). Are there any? Or was it maybe making a pit-stop or something. It was flying pretty low, which makes me thing it had just taken off (it was flying West, and there was only one, if that makes any difference). A few days ago I also saw some fighters I didn't recognize, there were three of them. I thought they maybe looked like F-22s, but I wasn't sure.. Does anybody know what planes are currently stationed at Buckley AFB? There's an Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, but I think I'm rather far North to have seen any planes flying from there.

Just wondering if it's possible to run the menu in fullscreen mode, but the game in windowed mode? Windowed helps my framerate, and it doesn't look horrible on my 16:10, unlike fullscreen.

I love being a dedicated transport pilot in Project Reality. =D I agree with what ARM505 says though, without the feeling of you actually making a difference, it would be rather stale... like in FSX. You just fly around. Sure you can pretend that you are doing a troop drop, but that gets old really quickly, and I think that would be the case here. If an Infantry module (not sure why it would... that doesn't even make sense) is ever done, then totally though! Mi-8, H-60 (different variants), H-1 (also different variants), CH/MH-53... I'm just going to stop, because I'm about to name every transport chopper.

How many Blackshark's player in the world.

True dat. Although sometimes it's kinda fun to play Arcade just for the hell of it. XD -

How about a mixture? XD I still like to fly with Labels on. lol I think the post was more about how many copies ED has sold maybe? -
Interesting perspective. I've always taken the opposite stance. I spend time in single-player learning everything I can before I go online. Like at the moment I would like to think I have pretty good knowledge of how to FLY the helo, but the weapons systems and actual combat I'm still getting the hang of. I had some fun on the MidgetTosser server tonight though. Even got my first DCS:BS kick! XD So I imagine I'll probably try and mingle in the online world of BS more often now. Maybe learn something from someone. (Look how to control the bird when aiming rockets. ARG)

Did not expect the S-13 to do that much damage... I think he was saying just a minute before that, that the S-13s have no splash damage... He lied! =O EDIT: You know what, I think I was using the S-8s.
-
XD nice. Well I joined. Not as bad as I thought it would be, though I guess it's not a mission atm. I just got auto-kicked for friendly fire though...whoops. Underestimated the power of a S-13. =/

I never ever did Lock On online (except with a friend once, but he was about my skill level). I also never did Flight Simulator online really (though that's not even really the same thing). Hmm... Everything is always more fun with a friend, and I've been trying to get my friend to get the game, though he says he "doesn't have time for a sim" (He's 17, doesn't have a job, doesn't have many classes, and sleeps for 3 hours a day. LOL). I'd feel more comfortable getting into the whole MP side of things with someone I know. XD Out of curiosity, teamspeak/vent?
-
Yes. I am. I've been playing Black Shark for about a month and a half now, and still suck at SP. I'm afraid of joining the MP aspect of the game and totally failing my wingmen because I don't know how to do many things. (I still use the "Cheat" method of starting up. XD). IDK what else to say... but yeah. Any tips or anything?

Using Win7 Build 7100 X86. Only problem is some errors in the options menu. Probably not an issue with Win7 and Game though.

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask in. I'm trying to create a mission in which a few SH-60s escort a carrier group, but I can't get them to takeoff from either the Oliver H. Perry destroyer, nor the Ticonderoga cruiser, they will only take off from the Carrier. Is there any way to make them takeoff from the destroyer or cruiser? Or is the code just not in place to allow this? If not, how difficult would it be, or is it even possible to, make them be able to take off from these support ships?

Have this same problem. While installing the older drivers work, it also makes every other game on my PC to run with problems. So essentially am I going to have to either be constantly changing my drivers between 8.12 and 9.3, or spend a few hundred dollars upgrading my computer to a card that supports 9.6 drivers (Will have to buy a new PSU). =/

Beautiful images. Love the sunset one. Background for sure! =D Deffinately looking forward to the A-10, sure we had it in LoMaC, but there was a lot you couldn't do with it. This one is going to be totally realistic with a fully manipulatable (Totally just made up a new word!) cockpit. Hehehehe. I think DCS is going to make me broke though, because I'm really wanting to get Rudder Pedals and a Saitek X52 for Black Shark. XD

Night mission building help needed
TKMR replied to Ramstein's topic in User Created Missions General
Alright, I'll mess around with it and see what I can manage. Thank you. =) -
I had the same problem (on an X1650 card) and reverting to the 8.12 drivers fixed the problem, however I then had performance issues in every other game I tried to play. Because I have an older card I cannot install the 9-6 driver. Are my only choices to either deal with the white screen, missing backgrounds in all menus, hard to read text, etc and have good performance in the rest of my games; or have the correct backgrounds and such and have extremely poor performance in all of my games? Is this something we can expect to be fixed in the patch?

Night mission building help needed
TKMR replied to Ramstein's topic in User Created Missions General
Okay, so this is not going to be like the AI does a fly over, drops a couple flares (enough to illuminate the target, probably 2), loops around, drops more flares, etc. He is just going to drop all of his stores at once? That's kind of a dissapointment. What about doing mutliple pinpoint targets on different waypoints, would that help? -

It didn't in LoMaC. Does the AI drop hundreds of flares? -
Night mission building help needed
TKMR replied to Ramstein's topic in User Created Missions General
No reason to make a new thread, especially since this one is by the top, but I've got a question about night missions too. I know in LoMaC with the A-10s I could use the SUU-10s to light up the battlefield, but I can't find the Russian equivalent of this to help with visibility for my Ka-50 (What I wanted to do was to have a plane flying AFAC and dropping them every so often, and I think I read in the GUI manual that you could do this but I just haven't been able to figure out how). This is rather frustrating, as all the planes listed under the AFAC mission type don't seem to have illumination flares under their loadout, so I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any help?
