Does the patch help with this? If not just go with Doc's solution. That's the best out of all of them P= I wonder if telling them to rejoin when they are repeating rejoin would help. XD

Win. That's something I've always felt was seriously lacking in DCS and Lockon, was really good particle effects. The ones now seem very... bland considering the weapons being used. And no, I don't expect Hollywood over-exaggerated effects, just something more... pretty, and realistic. The rotor wash is really nice, now expand on that. P=

This may be totally off, but I recall reading a thread about this same thing before. Essentially the reason is that the Shkval camera doesn't detect anything in the IR band of EMR, only visible light. Greyscale TV better than color for threat identification? IDK about that. Going to shut up now before I start talking out my ass, which I kinda already was.... I wish the Shkval had IR capabilities though, that would be sweet. P=

That's not too bad. Shouldn't affect you at all. When you're running Black Shark open up the Task Manager and see what your CPU and RAM usage are at. Maybe your install is corrupted somehow and is hemorrhaging memory. Update drivers... that's all I can think of. Can somebody else confirm that BS works properly in 64 bit Vista?

Ah my bad. Saw everybody elses posts and thought the same thing as Panzer. Make sure your video card isn't blowing transistors, or something? Other than that, update drivers, and I don't know anything else.

It already has... ED, I love you guys. This game is sexy. So was Lock On, and I understand the wish to protect your product, but the cracking teams have such advanced techniques they usually crack the game BEFORE it is released (I don't believe it was the case here since this wasn't a huge release). It really bothers me all of the effort, and money that is spent on copy protection when it doesn't even do anything anymore. IMO, and many will disagree with me on this (hopefully not flame me though), the best copy protection is relying on people that actually care about your company to do the right thing and buy the products. I'll be honest here, there are some of my games that I don't play online, that I decided to crack because I got so sick of the "the correct DVD is not in the drive." Yeah... it's illegal... yeah it's wrong, but IMO it's wrong to punish people that purchase the game. Apologies for rant.

Didn't see any posts stating this, so I'll go ahead. I am using an older ATI card, X1650 Pro 512MB (It's Sapphire. P=) and I had A LOT of problems with it and DCS in XP. I recently installed the Windows 7 RC, and didn't install any AMD/ATI drivers, letting Win7 use it's own drivers, and it works great. I don't get the white screen anymore, all of the menus are how they should be, frame rates are excellent (in all my games, unlike when I was using the 8.12 drivers in XP to fix the menu problems in DCS). I also noticed that Win7 downloaded, what I assume to be, the newest ATI drivers for my card and installed them, and I everything still works. For those having problems, either try the 9.x drivers that are stated to work, the 8.12 (assuming you don't play any other games, otherwise you will notice a major performance loss in every other game), making sure to disable Catalyst AI, OR try out the Windows 7 RC. It's also not a resource hog like Vista. My 2 cents. =)

I could swear I remember this happening in a LO campaign I downloaded (When Hogs Fly I think it was) If it was possible in LO, is it possible in BS? Now gotta go read the review so this post isn't entirely off-topic. P= EDIT: Read the review, it felt like a lot of it he was bashing the Ka-50, "Well the Apache team figured out how to do this" etc., but having him say that it was phenomenal, as has been mentioned, is probably really good, though when he points out the limitations that might not be so good... =/

Greearg, I hate flying the EH101. Impossible to hover, impossible to land properly, impossible to taxi. The Ka-50 is a saint in comparison, like you said. Anybody have the Ka-50 from AlphaSim? P= Valery: What Aircraft Carrier is that? Those are some damn good models. IMO Abacus' sucks!

Oh I have a very good SoundCard and a decent video card, and a lot of times when I'm flying I'll get some slight stuttering. I can also hear my HDD crunching like mad. Did I defrag, and it's a lot better now. ;)

I was just curious about your line of thought is all. It's all perception right? ;) I haven't voted yet but will soon: AH-64D, just because it's awesome (regardless of if it's classified, I WANT it. It won't happen, but that doesn't make me want it anyless) Mi-28N for some real night missions. P= OH-58D, for the cooperation between the Kiowa pilots, and attack helo pilots. While the Mi-24 is a nifty helo, due to it's weight I imagine it would be rather sluggish, and I don't think I would enjoy flying it. AH-1W would be cool too. Don't know much about Western European attack helicoptrs (Eurotiger is all I know, and the WAH-64 of course). EDIT: Looking up the A129/Rooivalk/Eurocopter and I love how they all look similar.

Why? I love flying fixed-wings, but when I heard about the Ka-50 (and did some research to find out what the hell it was) I was in love. XD A two-seater chopper would be just amazing... Though I wonder how the gunner seat would work out, if you would have to have something like TrackIR to use it effectively. That would put a hole in my budget. =( And to everyone that keeps saying "this isn't going to happen" The thread is titled "Most Wanted" not "Most likely to happen". Kinda like the wish list thread, it's what you want, not necessarily what is realistic.

I didn't find any information on A-10s being stationed there, but thought maybe there wasn't any uptodate info. So I thought I'd ask. I'm guessing that's what it was.

Illumination bombs? I thought about doing that, but it didn't make much sense to me for infantry to be carrying them... After all they are 'bombs'. XD I wanted to use actual smoke (like a AN-M8 smoke grenade kind of thing), but there isn't a trigger for that.

Nope. It was flying a bit high to spot with just naked eye, and as I was still a quarter mile from home I didn't exactly have time to grab some binocs. XD
