REALLY!? 2 weeks, couldn't make it happen? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

With the F-4 launching, and a lot of emphasis being put on the Vietnam War and the Cold War era, I'd like to see troops from that era. U.S. Soldiers in their respective uniforms carrying M-16 or M-60 weapons. North Vietnamese troops carrying AK-47's. Russian troops in era correct uniforms, Middle-East, you name it. It's a bit hard to make proper missions when your choices are WW2 or Modern troops, and an "Insurgent". Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

New Pay Model / subscription discussion
Dannyvandelft replied to MacEwan's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Chatting on Discord just now, and felt like bringing it up here to the devs. ED is developing 3 modules right now, that we know of, plus many more in EA. Meanwhile QOL things are falling behind. Things like, drogue basket behavior, AI models that look old, AI behavior to incoming missiles, and AI behavior overall. ATC, and so on, and so forth. It seems like, I could be wrong, that ED is focusing much harder on building modules to sell, than maintaining/improving the world those modules live in. I can only speak for myself, but I'd gladly pay a subscription fee, let's say $15 a month, for ED not having to build modules, or less modules, and can direct all, or most of their devs to said above QOL improvements. The model I'd use would be similar to World of Warcraft. $15 monthly for the base game, for ED to maintain and improve the world we fly in. Focusing most if not all devs to upgrade AI, ATC, AI models, things like drogue physics, weather, updating old modules, and so on. 3rd parties bring their modules as normal, for their normal prices, and will be viewed as expansions, i.e. The Tomcat is The Burning Crusade, The Phantom is Wrath of the Lich King, etc. Having all these modules coming out is great, and I'm looking forward to a lot of them, but the world we use them in has to be kept up as well, past adding terrains. Anyway, my 2 cents. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
Landing gear physics on the P-51 are too sensitive I think. For a sturdy plane capable of landing in a grassy field, it seems too easy to damage the gear. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Seems to be too sensitive for a plane that can take off and land from a grassy field. I'd think it be more sturdy than that. My wingman had a broken tail wheel, and I had a stuck main gear strut. And we did nothing crazy. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

solved Can't launch with bin-mt

I did a slow repair, that fixed it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
I get an initialization 2 error after the latest update, worked fine 5 minutes ago before the update. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

That's good to hear. I like the VOIP a lot. Especially how it makes the Warbird radios sounds authentic. But it's annoying I can't hear half the server because they're on SRS. It sounds mean, and I don't want it to be, but since VOIP is getting up there in functionality, maybe force people on VOIP? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Was afraid of that. In that case ED should either absorb SRS, or make it impossible to use. Having half the server on one, and the rest on the other, is silly. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

No I'm asking that a user using VOIP on 253.000 can talk to an SRS user on 253.000 Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Is it possible to make it so SRS and VOIP users to communicate on the same frequency? If not, why not make it so it does? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I didn't say nothing, I said "certain features" I asked about. Wing vapor, yes that's coming. Circuit breakers aren't, because the Tomcat isn't modeled like that. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I asked the devs if certain features of the Phantom would come to the Tomcat, and long story short, the Tomcat model doesn't allow for it. It's a completely different process. And since the new Tomcat model would be a seperate module for full price, I expect HB themselves would want nothing less than a plane simulation equally as impressive as the Phantom. The Phantom is the new standard in DCS, and I expect they themselves would want nothing less than that for the next gen Tomcat. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I'm sure either a B(u) or D would be built completely from the ground up, akin to the Phantom's modeling. I doubt they would reuse the current model. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
