They must have been grounded for close to 2 months now, BTW theres an F-22 thread further down in this forum with some discussion about the problem.

No screws. This ring that you can unscrew to detach the joystick, mine came a little loose. Simply tightened it back up by hand.

Is it firmly screwed in place? Mine came a little bit loose and gave this problem.

For anyone interested this is the tornado which crashed off the coast of Scotland on the 27th of January. As XV® is a training squadron I'm going to presume the crew will have been different.
