Hmm, as I understand it AM and FM is just the type of method to transmit/recieve data (hence, AM is using higher and lower amplitude of the wave to represent data, while FM is using higher and lower frequency to represent data). AM and FM is not bound to any frequency-bands. Hmm, I think I have been fooled by the UHF radio of the A10C. It seems that is not using the UHF-band, even when the radio is called UHF. I am quite confused right now about the definitions here.....
  3. Which modulation is standard when communicating with UHF? Amplitude or frequency modulation? I am not sure which to select FM or AM when using UHF frequencies....
  4. If I drove too far in the pitch, is there any possibility to go back, hence I did the mistake and forgot to press U and checking that the protection walls where up, so I did full afterburner a couple of meters. Turning around did not goe so well. :D

  6. I always land nicely on the deck, but the hook never catches. I've tried landing closer, and closer to the ridge, but not catch. Till the end, I end up blowing at the aft of the carrier. :(

  9. So, is there any reference to the format of data AJS37 is loading from cartridge? I am in middle of developing a planner for the Viggen, currently I have a tactical map over Causcus which is correctly mapped to coordinates, and where you can create waypoints B1-B9, LS, L1, L2, and BX6-BX9. The best would of course to have an exact represenation of the DCS map, but I am not sure if it is possbile to decode. The tactical maps is fairly accurate though. Also, it would be nice to know which idfentiers I need for bomb and missile settings which you then can preplan.
  10. Is it possible to store RB15 tactical settings in the custom data-cartidge (I do not mean RBX waypoints)? Currently making a flightplanning app for the Viggen with tactical charts, which may soon be released.

  13. But....do you not notice the angle of rockets compared to the helicopter? It surley looks like the rockets does not go in the same direction of the helicopter nose....

Oh, sorry, did a visual mistake there. :D Anyway, I looked around about "guided" rockets and there seems to be upgraded versions of the S5, S8 and S13 rockets which are laserguided. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugroza I wonder if Ugroza rockets can be utilized by two KA50:s as in the video, hence one KA-50 is lasing, and the the another just shooting withouth pointing the nose directly to the ground. This would indeed be very awesome when playing coop or in multiplayer.

  17. I do not have the X52, I am using the Warthog setup instead, but with similar practice, I recommend you to bind up everthing as you want. Instead of using another peoples bindings, you should bind it up yourself; you will then remember the bindings much better. My procedure was to have an empty image-representation of my joystick setup (you can easily find one on the internet), which I then edit in Gimp, and saving it, using it as a reference when not remembering the bindings. I would recommend to place the bindings as close as you can matching the real thing.
  18. Started to fly the KA-50 now after a long while of pause, and I noticed this problem with the Shvkal where you are seeing through the water. I am not sure if anyone has this problem. Running latest DCS World 2.5 Stable, with deferred shading off and HDR on (because cockpit lights does not work with deferred shading on).
  19. Did the mistake and moved my target point far away. Can you reset the old waypoint (which I did convert to the target waypoint), to the default position?
  20. Three times in a row, instructor told me "Target got a away". This is the first target. I do hit him with the AIM9, and then I need to finish him of with the cannon. I did finish him of in the three times I flew the mission, and instructor said "You killed him", but after that he said "Target got away". When I do continue killing the other targets successfully, after when I have killed the third target with the cannon, instructor says we are done a should continue to egress, leaving me with no possibility to kill the fourth target. A little frustrating.... Edit: I have a indication that this bug is affected by the means of finishing off the target very close the MOA borders....
  21. My way to solve this is to always (when able) to have the POS page shown in the CDU when flying. In this page I use the GPS altitude as a reference to level off my altitude.

  23. Activate the reverse instead of turning around, that would prevent the ships shooting at you.
