  1. Hmmmm. I wondered about that. Thanks I'll try that tomorrow. When I saw it, it seemed like it had stopped responding, so I checked in the Task manager to confirm it. I have a G-15 Keyboard with an Applet that lets me terminate Programs with a Hotkey, and sometimes I would see a program on my old PC come up as "Not Responding " but it was not for very long. I am not the most patient of people, so I thank you very much for being so. I'll leave it in the morning and hope it works. I had high expectations for BlackShark and they were dashed. DCS BlackShark, not only turned out to be good, but it is Fantastic. I never thought I would like another sim after Lock On, but DCS BlackShark is Brilliance in my books. I'm happy to buy these products without giving the price a thought, they always turn out to be worth their money in seconds. Thanks Everyone for your advice and Birthday wish :) Toad
  2. Well it's Not Patching LOMAC that did it. I have managed to narrow down what has caused the issue. DCS Blackshark had to be Reinstalled so that the latest patch could be applied. So I did that,( in "Run As Administator " ) and all went well. The problem comes into it when I try to apply the Latest Patch for DCS BlackShark ( DCS_BS_Patch_1.0.2_EN ). I go through the steps it ask's right up until the point of Clicking the Install button. At this Point, the install button turns into a "Next" button and the installer stops responding. After this point, I have found that DCS BlackShark is unable to be found. I have tried to re-download the Patch and start the whole process over again, but it ends with the same result. I've been trying to get it working for about 4 hours now and it is 5am. If the situation change's tomorrow, I'll post the results. But in the mean time, if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate the help. :) Toad.
  3. Interesting Update. After Patching LOMAC with LOMAC 1.02, it works fine. But after finding the New Patch for my DCS Blackshark, I downloaded and tried to apply it. Only problem is that it just stopped working after selecting installation details and clicking the Install button. So I went to check if there was a way of updateing via the program....sure enough it is M.I.A. I navigate to the Installation folder and all seems intact, except there are no Icons for starting the program there. I'm going to try to repair and update again. I have set up the installation files on the patch's to "Run As Administrator " I thought perhaps that may help. Hopefully I can sort this out :D I thought a new patch must have been released considering how quiet the server was :D Toad
  4. Ahhhh Cool. Thank you all so much for your time and comments. You have re-assured me a tonne. I was never sure that the Patch's were working for me and I had always put it down to the Copy of Lock ON I have. When I look up lock on online, I always used to find 2 copies of it. Both would have lock On written on the front, but different Cover's. I was never sure if I was seeing 2 Different versions or the same version, just with a different Jacket. I thought maybe I had been downloading and trying to install the patch's for the wrong Edition of Lock on as I knew it was not Flaming Cliffs because it is written on the front. I just could never figure out which path I needed to take to fix it. Thank you all for your suggestions, and I hope to see you all Online as soon as I can get my hands On Flaming Cliffs and Flaming Cliffs 2. Toad:D
  5. Well.... I got up bright and early this morning with the direct intention of Catching LOMAC in the process of this Starforce error. Instead of doing that however, I think I got the Installation method correct this time, because it installed and runs somewhat fine.:megalol: It never came up with that Starforce Error that I previously described. Seeing as today is my Birthday, it has made quite a good Gift because I have not been able to fly on LOMAC for about a Year. The sad thing is I have never been able to use it online because it needed to be patched correctly. As it is at this stage, it is as is, straight from the disk. The only thing I have done to it is register it. (included is a picture of my cover. ) There was a site that I had obtained the patch's from years ago but as they only caused issue's, I never used them and have since lost them and the site where I had downloaded them from. If anyone is able to Point me in the right direction and let me know the correct process for Patching the Edition I have, I would be over the moon. I sit and drool when I think of owning Flaming Cliffs 1 and 2 and for some time have been very dissapointed to find I would never be able to use them unless I figured it out. After a while I gave up and just enjoyed the base program on my own. It was only a short while after I got my new PC that it dawned on me that the Patching process may work on this PC and a Whole new world could be waiting there for me. :pilotfly: So if anyone has a link to where I can get started on this, I would greatly appreciate any advice you have to offer. Thanks again for your time on this matter. Toad.
  6. Sorry. Iwasn't sure if it ws an easy fix or not.... What I will do is Scan The cover ( as it came with no manual ) and I will attempt to re-install it and get a screenie or 2 of what I am seeing. I had no idea when I first saw it as I had never seen anything "Starforce" associated with LOMAC before. I thought it must have been something else happening at the time and I did not pay enough attention to it. I actually had to look it up online and try to find out what it was. As far as I have been able to tell, DCS BlackShark has Starforce Protection and I have it installed. When I first attempted to install LOMAC on my new W7 Pro 64bit PC, it seemed to install ok, but when I tried to run a mission, it loaded but was really really wrong. Planes flying Horizontal, but with a Vertical Attitude. Quite bizar to see. But it didn't last long because of the error that popped up when I tried to close it. It said something about Starforce and that it was serious. It inferred that I could suffer HDD damage if I did not fix or remove it ?? :( I have no idea about that sort of thing, so I removed it ( suffering no ill effects ) and left it until I could find the answer I needed. It's been 3 months and I still could not find it so I came here. As I said I will collect a little more info and I will post it here. Thanks everyone for your quick response and for your time . Toad.
  7. :helpsmilie:Hi all. First time poster here so please forgive any mistake I may make here. For quite some time I had Lock On Modern Air Combat installed on my old XpSP3 machine and loved every minute of it even though the patching process was a bust for me. Now I have a new PC with Windows 7 Pro 64bit and when I installed LOMAC, it refused to run and came up with an Error message referrring to my Starforce Protection. The Edition of LOMAC I am trying to install is straight off the disk I purchased back in 2003. It has not been patched as each time this happened, it would become a diskless installation and The physics of the simulator were waaay off base. Basically what I would like to know is if there is a solution to an Expired Starforce ( needs updateing ) so I can first install LOMAC. And then from there, what is the patching process of LOMAC as the base program. I do not have Flaming Cliffs 1 or 2 at this stage, but as soon as I figure out this starforce thing, I will be Hitting the online purchase site asap to get myself up to date. I have spent quite some time searching the forum for my answer's, but unfortunately the only one's I am finding are not in English. Any advice or questions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou for your Time. Toad.
