  1. Thank you snafup for your reply. Most of the sessions I try to join in the last few days have had a ping value of less than 180. Some as low as 74. Unless the Host is looking for Local Hosting only, I can not see a reason to set a ping value as low as under 180 or even 74. I understand being bumped if my ping value reach's too high a number for you to remain in the session, but that usually produce's Dialogue box that basically tells you that your Ping got too high, doesn't it ? And if that happens, I don't expect an explanation. But if you welcome me into your field, let me fly for 10 minutes, then without a shot being fired by me, kick me out and I am never able to join again ( even a week later ) I think that is a bit rough. Especially when a brief "Hey! What are you doing Toad ? " would have stopped anything I was doing immediately. I don't think in these case's, it is a connection error. if it is , then great. But if not, then I am clueless as to what is going on.
  2. Thanks flybynoob, but I think until I know what I am doing wrong, I am just better off staying away from the whole lot. Last thing I want to do is annoy another host without knowing what i did wrong. I can't get enough of MP, but I'm not going to force myself into anyone field. I have hosted fields on other Simulators that were open to anyone and I understand that some people just don't get the rules no matter how simple you make them. I never thought I was one of them. :(
  3. Its been brought to my attention that most of my "Connection Interrupted" issue's may well be that I am banned from those fields. As I have a high ping here in Australia, I try to limit myself to servers with a ping less than 225 so that I don't spoil everyone else's fun with buckets of lag. This gives me a grand total of the top 4 servers I can join. In the last few days I have found that I have been banned from server's online without so much as 1 word spoken to me. I just wanted to say that I appologize to all concerned if I caused any problems in your server. What ever I did was not intentional and I was unaware at the time I was doing anything wrong. Had I have realized, I would have ceased Immediately. All it would have taken was for it to be brought to my attention. I said a bad word today in a mission and the Host banned me, and sent me a message to make it clear. Giving me the opportunity to appologize directly for my 1 time bad word. 1 time in more than 4 years. I try to follow the mission breifing to the best of my ability and not ruin anyone else's enjoyment of it. I NEVER EVER knowingly Blue on blue, I always try to make sure I am not taking someone else's kill. But somehow I have managed to offend people with my actions. For that, I am sorry. If I knew what I had done wrong, I would be directly appologizing to each person for each individual thing I did wrong. But I have not been given the opportunity. Other than that, I can not account for any online imrovements here, The only fields under 225 that I could join have banned me without explanation. And I am not going to find out what its like above 225 and spoil everyone else's enjoyment. So I might just stay offline to save causing any further aggravation. I thought I was doing the right thing when online, but obviously I've rubbed people up the wrong way. That was not my intention. All I wanted was to share and enjoy these amazing simulations. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know, that If I have annoyed you at all, in any way, I appologise sincerely. I did not mean to anger anyone or spoil anyone's enjoyment online. I just made mistakes. :(
  4. Still No luck .... Oh well, I tried the updater repair and nothing has changed. I did recieve a PM that I have been banned from some fields even though I have barely spent any time online. Apparently I have made some mistakes when I have been online and instead of trying to let me know that I was making a mistake, I was just banned. I think for everyone's benefit, I'll just stay offline. The update is awesome in SP mode and I suffer no isssues and do not get banned for simple mistakes. Thanks for all your help everyone. It appears that my problem is solved as long as I stay offline. I really enjoyed the amazing missions on there, but it is what it is :(
  5. Thanks for all your replies fella's :) I used the Auto Updater to update my DCS World, I was really hoping to avoid a fresh re-install as i have had to do that a few times so far. :( And I am not running any mod's. I used to when I was flying DCS BlackShark 1, but after having issue's with that too ( on my old PC ), I got annoyed with having to chase up all of the mods I had used, re-install them, only to suffer issue's with the program after adding several mods in a row. After that point I vowed that I would not touch Mod's again as I barely have the time available to learn to fly these aircraft, let alone spend hours trying to track down what I have mucked up this time. I figured if I install the program the way the Developers intended, I would not keep having my program mucked up, requiring massive amounts of backing up and re-installing. My DCS World Remains un-Modded. I know people like the mod's, but I don't. I figure if they are that good, the Developers will adopt those mod's as normal running conditions. If not, then I am not missing what i don't know about. :(
  6. Sorry, I meant to include that information... 7. I wondered about that too sobek, but I did see 1.2.2 at the end of the name of a couple of the hosted fields. At the time, I did wonder if that meant that they were using Version 1.2.2 or if the mission that was being hosted, was created in 1.2.2. :( ?
  8. Hi SkateZilla, to be honest I am not sure of how many were running 1.2.2 in comparison to 1.2.3. But I did note that out of the ten fields I tried to join, some of them were 1.2.3 and some I assume were 1.2.2. I did see a couple that had 1.2.2 and 1.2.3 on them, but my success at joining any of them was about the same. I believe that the one I did get to fly in for about 5 minutes was a 1.2.3 field. I guess its just gonna be "Back to SP for me" until I can sort this out. If I dont get it sorted out, its no great loss to the MP community. :( I can't get enough of the missions made by the people who host online, but I fly to relax. And these constant "Connection Interrupted" issue's just wind me up. :(
  9. I've just updated my DCS world to Version 1.2.3 and I am unable to stay in a field for more than 5 minutes and mostly cannot join other peoples fields at all. I either get an immediate "Connection Interrupted" as soon as I select a field to join or I can get in there with no problems ( Good FPS and Steady connection ), but shortly after, DCS Crash's to desktop and stops responding. I have tried to join about 10 fields today and only got into 2. 1 of the fields seemed fine, but had a hero in it that would shoot me before I could even get the Ka-50 started. So I tried joining 3 other fields that showed me an immediate "Connection Interrupted". I finally joined 1 field that had a ping of 74, and all I got to do was take off, fly about 4km's away and as soon as I started to fire the cannon....Boom! Crashed to desktop and offered to send a message to Microsoft, at this point I was unable to send the message off as DCS kept taking Posesion of the screen and not allowing me to click the "Send Error Report" button. The only way I could close DCS World, was to End Process on the error message which immediately closed DCS World. ON the fields that give me an immediate "Connection Interrupted", does that mean I have been banned from those fields or what ? I dont see why I should be banned as I have hardly ever flown online long enough to annoy anyone.??? I used to get "Connection Interrupted " occasionally on fields with a ping higher than 250, but now I am getting them so frequently it is really starting to boil my blood. Can anyone please shed some light on this for me, so that I can find out what the hell is causing it and put an end to it please ? I am unsure of how to represent the problem I am having, so if anyone has a suggestion of how I can get this problem looked at I would be very grateful. I have not bothered to post a ticket on this problem as I have about 4 outstanding tickets from 5 months ago that no one is interested in answering. I have tried several times to update the tickets, but so far, I am the only one working on them. I understand ED is extremely busy at the moment and don't expect an immediate response. But I would have expected something in 5 months. :( P.S. Although I had been looking for a previous thread that may explain this, I did not find one at first. But I just found one that suggests to make sure your connection speed is set to "LAN". This is an option I selected Loooong ago and have not changed it since. So in the above information was all under the connection speed of LAN.
  10. Thanks for that one. I have to show my girlfriend that. You'd want to hope that dogs skin is a lot thicker than ours. Seems like a big shock :O
  11. This is a short story that was sent to me a long time ago and each time I read it I get a good laugh. Anyone who has had experience with electricity, will be able to sympathize with this dude. Hope you enjoy :D A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary submitted this: Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized Tazer. The effects of the Tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety....?? WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button AND pressed it against a metal surface at the same time; I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs. AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave. Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-A batteries, right? There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong? So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and Tazer in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries. All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5' long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and (loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-A batteries) thinking to myself, 'no possible way!' What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best...? I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, 'don't do it Stupid,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny little ol' thing couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and . . . HOLY MOTHER OF GOD . . . WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION . . . WHAT THE HELL!!! I'm pretty sure The Hulk ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed me on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the foetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs? The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room. Note: If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a Tazer, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor. A three second burst would be considered conservative? A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was. My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. I had no control over the drooling. Apparently I pooped myself, but was too numb to know for sure and my sense of smell was gone. I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head which I believe came from my hair. I'm still looking for my nuts and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!! P. S. My wife loved the gift, and now regularly threatens me with it! 'If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid.'

  13. Thanks for letting me know that.... I was not aware of that. I was not sure of how a Track file plays on another system. I simply offered this as a possible solution, if in fact the O.P was unable to reduce the Track file size and demonstate the issue they were having. I did not mean to provide any misleading information, or point anyone in the wrong direction. I will take more care with future posts. :)
  14. Have you considered a Screen Capture One thing you may be able to try is a Program called "Bandicam". I came accross it a few days ago and if you get the FREE demo, you can record Desktop/ In-Game Footage for a period of 10 minutes. From there you could upload it to YouTube ( unlisted ) and send Support the link to the Video. Maybe even post the link here so others can see the trouble you are having. That is, if you havent already found a resolution. Good luck. If you need any help with Bandicam/YouTube, let me know and I'll be glad to help . :)
  15. DCS P-51D. Landing Practice with a Short Approach This is a video of me Practicing Landing at Batumi Airport in The P-51D Mustang. Simulated Time at Mission start is 6:45am The weather conditions are calm Spring Day and the Temperature is 17C. I will be landing 4 times from 4 different Approach angles, distance's and altitude's. All Approach's are made in the pilot's perspective and from an approximate 90 degree angle to the runway, from all 4 directions. The dash is visable during landing's so you can read the Instruments in HD. I hope you enjoy the show. :) Sorry its only a link. I'm not smart enough to figure out how to Embed a video :)
  16. Ha! I remember having that in LOMAC. I always used to put it down to my weak PC and had to have shadows OFF otherwise it looked more like diagonal Pinstriping on the planes than it did shadows. Until recently , I hadn't had a problem with HDR, but since switching it off, I have noticed a decent increase in FPS, but every now and then, I see a glimpse of the Diagonal Pinstriping instead of shadow. I'm more of an Flying Nut than I am a Computer Nut, so I don't catch on to fix's etc for a lot longer than many here. :) I don't mind if I can't get a million frames a second, but enough to keep me making youtube videos, will keep me happy forever.
  17. lol Yeah. You sure could. I didn't know what to think when I first saw that, I immediately went through the Modules I own and found that they were almost perfect. Since updating to Ver. 1.2.2.7122, I have found that the Hitching I was getting at the Beginning of a track file or Mission, was drastically reduced in DCS P-51D Mustang, both in frame timing and length of time it was affected. Previously, this symptom was not present in any of the other modules. Only DCS P-51D Mustang. But after the update ( whilst remaining on the same Graphic settings ) I found that the Hitching was present in DCS BlackShark 2 as well. But after turning off HDR ( as suggested above ), I have since found that the hitching I was experiencing is almost Non-Existant in all of the modules on my system. Previously, altering the state of this option, did nothing to change what i saw, where now it seems to have a very direct influence over what I see. I am none-the-wiser as to why I can't use HDR, but at this point in time....I can live without it. There's nothing I look forward to at the end of a long day, than coming home and Kicking DCS into gear to unwind. I'm just glad to have it working :pilotfly:
  18. Here you go. :D Here you go EtherealN. Just as you asked. I hope it is correct. If you spot something that doesn't seem right, I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks for your time :) If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. :) Toad's DxDiag.txt What I see since the update.trk
  19. Thankyou Mastiff. That was 100% correct. I never thought to try that. It was never an option I had an issue with before. I just flew around for 15 minutes and am now seeing the benefits from the new Update. Lookin Great. Thanks for your help. Much Appreciated. lol. You know? You're the 2nd person to ask me that this week and I don't even know what it does. And now don't want to try it to see what it does. :D I had someone ask me in a Steam game if I was doing that too.
  20. I have no idea why the latest Patch for DCS World Has caused this. And I am just as much in the dark as to how to fix it. I have tried to Repair my DCS World with no effect. I have checked my Latest video drivers ( AMD Catalyst 12.10 ) and I have also checked DCS BlackShark 2,DCS A-10C and SU-25T. There is no sign of this issue in any of those titles. I do get some of the hitching at the start of a mission in DCS BlackShark 2, but only for about 3 seconds. I have never seen anything like this in a game before so am at a total loss as to where to even start. I posted a short 6 minute video on youtube ( ) to demonstrate what I see as I am at a loss to even describe accurately what I see. The only thing I did notice is that the effect that is causing my system a headache, is used on the water as well, and seems to only be apparent once I fly away from the Airport or even fly just a short distance above it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Toad. 22. Hi Tailgate. Thanks for your interest. I haven't as yet, tried to uninstall DCS P-51D as that would mean removing all of my installed modules, backing up all of their missions/tracks/inputs device's and more....just on the off-chance it "May" solve the issue. Prior to the automatic update, DCS P-51D was running amazingly smooth and I was stunned every time I opened it. Then it was patched and now hitch's ever since. I was hoping that over the next few days, another patch may come out that addressed some issue's and I was hoping it would clear up for me that way. Un-installing was to be a "Last Resort". And I can also 95% rule out the suggestion it is a Hardware issue. If in fact my hardware was falling short somewhere, the issue's I see in DCS P-51D, would definately be present in DCS Blackshark. When flying in DCS P-51D Mustang for more than 2 hours, my GPU temp goes from a starting Temp of 35 degree's, to a Temp of 46 degrees. When flying in DCS BlackShark for more than 2 hours, my GPU temp goes from 35 degrees, to a Temp of around 57 degrees. And the whole time, the Hitching I see, only appears in DCS P-51D at the start or randomly through the track replay. And I really don't believe that is it related to the Graphic level settings either. I went to great lengths to explain that if I went through every single graphic setting and recorded it in that video, it would have been a 45+minute video that no-one would watch because it would be scene after scene of the Exact same thing. I also described how ( for convenience ) I recorded the best representation of what I saw, and put that in the video because there is no Variation in behavour at all between any of the graphic detail settings. For example, on my normal settings ( as displaying in that video ), there are between 360 to 1300 objects visable at the start. On LOW Graphic settings and every possible setting on its lowest possible position ( including resolution ) , there are between 69 and 180 objects visable at the start. Surely with that much of a difference between HIGH and LOW, I should have seen some improvement switching to LOW or Detriment switching to HIGH. But, it is identical every time. Which made me think, perhaps it's not Graphic related, but rather a data problem. ( be it in version 6288 or my system ). But I can not find a culprit. Nothing is reaching high temperatures. Nothing is being utilized to 100%. My RAM, My GPU, my CPU nor my Hard Drives. I can Select LOW in Graphics settings, then turn Tree Visability/ Clutter/ Visual distance down to their minimum settings and the Hitching I see is Identical. I can even reduce the resolution of DCS down to the minimum Resolution + minimum Graphic detail level in all settings, and it is still identical. I have checked all of my system drivers. I have been over my hardware at least 20 times. I have several other titles of software that Push my system much more than DCS P-51D seems to,and yet I see no issue's or anything in them. Not even a hint of it. So to me, if it were hardware, I should be seeing something in other titles that I either know is not right, or just seems to be some mysterious cause to an issue I can't track down. Prior to me upgrading my system, I could understand this sort of thing happening because my PC just never seemed right back then and always made mistakes and output random quality files. But since the upgrade, I have not enjoyed using a PC so much in my entire life. I've never known a PC to be so trouble free. I am not saying my system is blameless. I am not educated enough to say that. But over the last 8 years, I have seen my fair share of Graphics issue's with PC's I have owned due to never being able to afford a decent PC. I have had a fair amount of practice at the usual methods of cleaning up issue's and tracking down online how to fix them. While going through some of the fix's, they may not fix the problem 100%, but they usually reduce the problem to some degree. But everything I have tried so far ,to fix DCS P-51D Mustang, has not even made 0.000025% of a difference. I just don't know what's next..... :( Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64bit AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor Black Edition 3400 Mhz 12.00 GB 1600mhz 12800 Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Motherboard SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series Western Digital 2TB HDD AMD Radeon HD 7950 3Gig Saitek X-52 ( Not the Pro ) AOC V27m 27 inch LED Monitor. 23. Finally have the video posted. I Finally have the video posted to YouTube demonstrating the Severe Loss of FPS in cockpit view. I'm sorry it took me so long to post the video. I have been trying to render the video for 3 days now and had a lot of trouble getting it to work. Until I realized I had 1 setting on the wrong selection. Once fixed, I had the video 36 minutes later. I was going to include demonstrations of the hitching I see with the Graphics settings on different settings and different resolutions, but after a few hours of filming, I realized that if I did that, I would end up posting a 45 minute video that no one would see all of. So I compiled enough footage from both Live Action ( not the Turtle Man ) and track replay footage to demonstrate what I am seeing. It doesn't matter what Graphics settings I use, nor resolution of the screen. It is an identical Process reguardless of the settings I use. I also have tried DCS BlackShark and DCS A-10A and have found that there is not even a remote hint of this same situation. From the time I push PAUSE to start a mission or Track file, DCS A-10A and DCS BlackShark are immediately ready for flight and dead smooth FPS. I hope you find this video helpful. If you require any further information, feel free to comment and reply and I will do my best to help. Thanks for your time. P.S. I tried to embed the video here for convenience, but could not figure out how to do it.So I'm sorry, I only have a link available.
  24. Yaaaaay!!! I found out what is causing my upload issue. Internet Explorer. Typical. I have sucessfully been able to upload 4 videos in a row to YouTube. Now that I know I am able to upoad without interference, I will get working on Posting the Demonstration video of the FPS loss I see in Cockpit view. Thanks for your patience everyone.
  25. Well, that took me a fair while to sort out, but in the end, I am not much wiser than I was before I started. The Benchmark did not supply me with the type of statistics that I was hoping for to be able to figure out much. I am not the most Tech-Savvy person I know. So instead, I ran the benchmark under many different settings and resolutions and about all I came up with, is that if I lower my resolution slightly, I will gain a few extra Frames. ( well der! I already knew that. ) :) Although it was not a total loss. I did find that no matter what graphics settings I use, or Resolution I switch to, the hitching at the start is always present. I noticed that if you hold RCtrl and push PAUSE twice while in a mission or track file, DCS shows you the background information behind how the FPS are being calculated. During smooth flight I noticed that there are 2 settings showing your FPS and the other option to note is Frame time. When there is no hitching or hesitation, the Frame timing and FPS are pretty much identical to each other. But in the beginning of a mission or Track file, when I see severe hitching, the Frame timing and FPS are at totally opposite ends of the scale. FPS reads as ~ 1fps ( .075 ) Frame Timing ~ 1376 The frame timing remains high, between 1200 to 1380 , whilst ever the screen is hitching. But suddenly, after some time, the frame timing suddenly shoots down and the frame rate shoots up. I have seen it do this even if smooth flying ( no hitching ) is at a frame rate of 140fps or 18fps. Adjusting the Graphic content and resolution of DCS P-51D, does not seem to have any effect on the hitching what-so-ever. I have tried to upload a video to YouTube that demonstrates this, but the Upload keeps failing. So I spent quite a long time last night trying to figure out if it something I am doing or not. No matter what file type, or bit rate I tried, the upload would fail each time until I got Google Chrome. I hate Google Crome, but it allowed me to upload a video last night and it is there and plays properly. So that is something. I think I still need to get onto my ISP as I see between 2 and 10% packet loss each time I run a speed test. I am hoping this is the reason I am having trouble with files that I have uploaded, not working properly. When I have found that all is good again, I will get the Demonstration video I have created and post a link here.
