  1. I don't really have any problems with temperature issue's in my system. My GPU starts-up at around 28 degrees C. Sits in idle for hours on end at around 32 degrees C and after flying for some time in DCS P-51D, my fans increase speed approx. 100 rpms and my Temp goes up to about 46 degrees C at most. As soon as I shut down the Sim, the temp drops as-per-normal. I should also add, that this is a similar temperature range as I experience in all other games I have. I only realized a short while ago, I should also test this in my other DCS titles to isolate wether it is a system problem or not. I am currently downloading 3D mark 11 to just double check my gear and get a bit of info. Before I run the benchmarks, I'll check my other DCS titles and see if I get a similar result. I haven't seen these issue's in any of my other programs, but the same patterns when it comes to Average FPS , CPU Load , RAM Load and GPU load/fan speeds/temperatures. I had a suspician that it may be a physics issue as I know my processor does not score real well on the grand scale of processors that are available. Hence the reason I am going to benchmark my system. I have seen that 3DMark 11 can test physics too. When I have a result, I'll post it here :)
  2. Hi DDSSTT. I havent actually been using the Rear View Mirror at this stage as I have only been shooting at Ground Targets. At first, I never even noticed it was there, until I saw it in another YouTube video. But nice to know that it is a frame saver to have it up. Thanks. :)
  3. Just an update. I thought what I would do is to make an Unlisted Video on youtube to demonstrate the issue's I am seeing is case it is the same as what is seen by Vakiwey. The video is currently uploading and may be some time ( around 8 hours ) :( So I also include here, the Track file I created to make the video. I'm not sure if it is going to work or not. I recently had trouble uploading files until today when I got my ISP to pull thier thumb out and check their settings instead of insisting it was my end. They finally looked and found my connection was being throttled for no apparent reason. Since he trned that off, my speed are much better. I have not had a chance to upload anything else yet, except for the youtube video ( I will provide the link here when It is uploaded ), and the track file below. I hope it works for you to see what to expect. If this track file is corrupt too, maybe I should reinstall the whole lot ??? Any advice is welcome. FPS Loss in Cockpit Demonstration.trk
  4. Hmmmmm... This may or may not be related, but I did think it was worth a mention. I too have noticed a difference with the view Hitching Severely at the start of a mission or Track file ( sometimes lasting for periods up to 45 seconds ). BUT...if I switch to 1 of the External camera's, I too notice the problem immediately goes away. I Noticed this while trying to record a couple of videos for youTube recently. Even If I start in an External view, the Hitching is still there, but not as Severe as it is if loading the Mission/Track file in Cockpit view. I also have a Logitech G-15 Keyboard with a Fold down screen. On that screen, you can run Applets to show you your current CPU and RAM load live. I have watched these Graphs ( admittedly they are not the most technical I have seen ) and during the times where I experience these "Hitch's", I can not see any noteable difference in behavour of either the CPU or RAM. Whilst running DCS, I see an average CPU load of around 30% and my RAM is almost neck-and-neck with it at about 28%. I don't have an Applet that shows my GPU Load, but I can say, that even after flying/recording for about 10 minutes, my fan speeds go up as well ( not to the degree Vakiwey describes ) but it is unusual because since upgrading my PC, nothing seems to get my fans really going like my old Card used to. But I notice that after flying consistantly for around 10 minutes, I can start to experience the "Hitching" at random spots and times. I have even had Fraps open at the time, and seen that even in the Menu Screen ( just before you enter the mission ) , with the Visuals in the background, I am only getting 1 frame per second. But if I let it sit there for around 30 seconds, It suddenly release's and goes up to around 80fps. At this time, If I start in an external view, the "Hitching" will last approximately 5-10seconds but is not as severe as if I started in cockpit view. And also, If starting in an external view in the manor above, I can leave it in the menu screen for anywhere up to 5 minutes. I can be getting a frame rate of 49 in the menu for 5 full minutes. Yet as soon as I click to fly mission ( in an external view ) the "Hitching " returns for approximately 5-10 seconds. once clear, I can switch back to cockpit view and instantly the "Hitch" is there. I have changed shading, cockpit shadows, resolution of cockpit and more to no avail. I have even just hit the LOW button on graphics, and reguardless of what I try, the hitching is always there. eg. Restarting my system, scanning my system for Malware etc. Checking for problems and more. I have updated all of my audio and video drivers and more. And the reason I know that they are all up to date is because I only just did a fresh install of windows recently when installing my new Video Card and SSD. Earlier today, I was starting to wonder how my Hardware could be locking up, if they are all barely being utilized....until I thought " Power Supply ! " So I changed my Power Supply today to see if that fixed the hitching...and it didn't. I have not found a difference at all. I put the new Power Supply in its box and went back to my old one. As for dust bunnies, I don't have any either because it got a good clean when I upgraded, and I was surprised that for 2 years of me being lazy, it hardly had any dust in it at all. I have dustier shelves. I have definately noticed that updating to version 1.2.1.6288 is when this first started to happen to me. And there has been nothing to date has seemed to resolve it. No other Software on my system has displayed anything close to these symptoms and all of them are amazingly smooth on Ultra or High Settings on almost all graphic options. Admittedly, DCS is a far more complex program to diplay and run than any of the "Push Button Titles". The only reason I mention that is to me, if my CPU/RAM is running at around 30% load and doesn't change behavour during these times of "Hitching", my GPU hardly raise's a sweat and my fans do kick in but far from 100%..... Maybe there is something else going on. I never thought to try to look around the cockpit to see if that changed what i see or not ( like Vakiwey did ) but I did find it seems to be the Harshest in Cockpit view, and less and less, the further you get from the Plane. I noticed when making my recent DCS P-51D video, that if I started the mission looking at the ground units, the hitching barely even happens at all. I would call it more of a slight hesitation at the start and gone from there. Switch back to cockpit view and it is back with a vengence. My situation may be entirely different to Vakiwey's, but the two descriptions of the symptoms observed, do "seem" to be very closely related.
  5. Hi Jim. I just thought I would let you know there may be a slight delay in posting the videos. I think my Power Supply may be about to pack it in, because even though my componants in my PC are not being pushed to the limit, I am getting HUGE amounts of hitching and glitching and all types of things, no matter what level I have my graphics on. :( I do have another Power Supply that I can put in it tomorrow and just make sure that is correct. BUT....I think i do have a video that I think shows the types of view you were after for a Curved Carrier Approach. I'm a little worried about Uploading it at this stage because it means leaving my PC on while I go to bed. :( So I am hoping to get up early in the morning, change out the power supply and check to see if it was the cause. If not, then the videos may a be a little hitchy for reasons unknown to me. But if it's back to smooth as silk like it was 2 weeks ago, then I will reshoot the whole scene and have it ready to go in no time. Today I practiced and performed that landing around 50 times. I shouldn't have too much trouble making it again if I have to. :D Thanks to making this video, I can now land the Mustang Smoothly ( almost ) on demand as opposed to being able to land smoothly by accident. :D Sorry for the delay. I did not forsee this little hold-up. :(
  6. Not a problem Jim, I will do my best. I am actually running some practice sessions right now at 4am. Gee you guy's can make some addictive Simulators :D Seeing as I do not have head Tracking at this stage, it is hard for me to Track the Threshold of the runway from the cockpit while lining it up. But from your reply I can represent that view a couple of different ways. I'll render them up and you can take your pick. If neither of them are a match and you want something in the middle, sweet. No problems with me. Feedback is always welcome.
  7. Hi Jim, I am sooo sorry these track files have not worked for you correctly :( In fact, this evening I took my PC to my Girlfriends house to show her some stuff, and built up how good my replay looks in comparison to a video . And even though you cant tell by my Youtube upload, the video does look great. So I played my copy that "Works" and it was corrupted after having changed the camera once, and not even saving over that file. I do have a Backup of it, but it worries me a little to use it at the moment. As for creating another video Depicting the same type of landing I did in the video, I would be honoured to give it a try. If you like, I can make several versions of the same landing, and you can view them first privately, to check which one has the best depiction of what you are after. If you need me to change any of it, I am totally open to suggestion. I have been an aeroplane fanatic since before I could walk, but still I am nowhere near experienced enough to judge for myself, which is the most appropriate depiction of the approach you are after. I just do what feels right at the time. But thanks to making that video, I have practiced that landing a lot. :) It shouldn't take me too long as long as the track files co-operate. I can film it live, but if I am at a zoom level that obliterates something you would like to highlight, let me know and I will sort it out for you. ;) Thankyou for the opportunity. EDIT: I meant to add too, once it is done, I will let you know, and you can tell me where you would like me to send the video file. :) EDIT 01: I'm Sorry. It is late at night but everything DCS gets me excited and I get too focused to see what's right in front of me. I meant to ask you too, by "Pilots Perspective" do you mean, the view I use, whilst landing in that manner ? Or are you after a video, that depicts a pilot, lining up the runway? eg. Multiple Camera view's of both heading and approach from the Pilots perspective? Or just the singular view I see when I land ? If it's Multiple views from the pilots perspective, I might be able to convince my better half to let me get head tracking ( something I can blame on DCS for making me want it so much ;) For a smoother motion to track in the video. But if its just what I see when i land, I should be able to have that for you in the next 24 hours :) Content is your descretion. :D Glad to help.
  8. Hopefully this track file will work Hi JimMack Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you with the track file. I thought what I would do, would be to reset the camera right at the start and then leave it alone for the rest of the Replay. But unfortunately, each time I touched anything, it corrupted the track file. So I just played it and when it finished, I saved it under a different name, and then closed DCS World. Then opened it again and selected to watch that Track file. It plays identical to the track file I supplied before. Hopefully that doesn't mean this Track file will quit on you too :( Anyway, if it does, I'm happy to do whatever I can to make it work out. But with any luck, this Track file "should" work for you. Even though it does not Dull the shine on this Simulator 1 little bit, I would be over the Moon if there was a quick easy fix for the track files. To be able to share your 1 of a kind moments with others is a really awesome feature. Anyway. Thanks for your Patience and I hope this track file works out for you. If there is anything else, I am more than happy to help out at any time I can. Toad. P.S. I suspect my ISP could also have a hand in why that track file didn't work the first time. If this one doesn't work either, I will call my ISP and just double check everything is ok. Each time I run a speed test on my net, I find I have up to 10% packet loss at some times. I will just get them to check it out and make sure all settings are correct and try again. With any luck, the file below will be ok :D Kickin Convoy's.trk
  9. Oh nooo JimMack. I am sorry to hear that. I am not sure what I can do to fix that. That Track file was created when DCS P-51 was in the last stage of Beta and it was stored on my Hard Drive. Since then I have switched to a Solid State Drive and when I went to open any replay created in the Beta, I saw that 95% of the Trees were not touching the ground and instantly remembered files don't always transfer well from a previous edition. So I went to re-create the scene in Version 1.2.1 and found the trees still didn't look like they touched the ground. So I switched back to trying a track file from the Beta ( in version 1.2.1 )and it just so happened that was the one I grabbed and it worked. It was the most intact replay I had, so I used it to make the video. Right before uploading the file to this thread, I even went to verify in Version 1.2.1 that that was the right file and got carried away and watched it to the end. It was the file I used. Maybe if I let it play, then save it under another name, that may help ? I was just heading to bed, but when I get up in about 3 hours now :( , I'll try saving it under a different name and try uploading that. It play's 100% repetitively on my system. There were some misplaced camera's, but right now, it looks and plays exactly like it did on my system before I did a fresh install of windows, upgraded my RAM, Video Card and Upgared to an SSD. Maybe it was just a one off that that file did not upload properly . I would suspect that after my video didn't upload properly. :( I'll try to get the new track file up as soon as I can. Sorry for any delay.
  10. Thankyou all very much HI All. Firstly I must say that your comments about my video are greatly appreciated and I am very humbled by your response's. When I make one of these video's, I really hope that people will like them ( but they are usually not fussed with them ), and in the end, as long as I am happy with the video, and I feel proud that I made a cool video...well then thats all good with me. And if people actually like it....then to me, that is Gold. But to recieve such nice compliments, especially when you refer to my landing technique. I feel a bit of a cheat, :( My Real-World flying experience, is not even a blip on the radar in comparison to many of the members here, and I feel that I am almost one of the Least Experienced pilots here. If I have performed a good example of how to perform a maneuver....then I am sad to say it is not through years of flying experience that taught me that. It's just fantastic work by the developer's to allow me to have landed like that. My Real-World flying experience is 10.5 hours instruction for a Private Pilots licence about 20 years ago. And my Girlfriend bought me a Scenic Flight for my Birthday about 3 years ago. I flew a Training Cessna 172 Skylane from Camden N.S.W Australia out Over and Through the Blue Mountains to the West of Sydney. It was a 90 minute flight that took us from Camden, Past The Three Sisters at Katoomba and on to my Home town that I grew up in. I had never been able to take my girlfriend there before and we had a lot of fun for 10 minutes making "Pretend Straifing Runs" over my Home town and Pretending to spit out the window over the top of the Town. I didn't like that town :) After talking to the instructor on the ground, he agree'd he would let me fly some of it. We took off, climbed to 2,000 feet and he handed me the controls through the whole flight, we flew low through canyons and all. You would think he was the passenger :) And at the end of the flight he even let me line her up for the runway when we came back. We were only supposed to go for 1 hour, but because I flew most of it, he gave us 30 minutes for free. It was awesome, but definately no P-51. ;) Thats where I have to confess. I have more flying hours making this video, than I have ever had in Real life. I flew around 200 hours of rehearsals to make this video. I killed ( I think ) around 2000 targets. There are only 16 in the mission :D I can't tell you the number of times I Crashed. :( But I can tell you, I still can't get enough. This is the RAW Track file with my Camera Moves. As-is, it was created in the Last BETA version of P-51D, but the video was made using Version 1.2.1. Here and there, there are sections of this track file, where the camera's go below ground or some scene's may seem like they go too long. Also it starts in a different spot from where my video appears to Start. All that is due to editting. About 95% of this Track file, is true to my video Online, the Other 5% was clipped out. I felt I should mention that so anyone who is interested in watching the track file, can ascertain if the Track File is Playing Correctly for them, or if in fact they are not going to be able to use that Track file. If you see Mistakes in camera Placement during this track file and it only lasts a second or 2, good chance they are ok because I too have those errors in camera placement on that track file and I have editted them out to make the video. But of course, hitting any camera view will cancel mine and you are welcome to use it however you please.I am just flattered to have such interest in my Video and my flying and just so disappointed I was not ( yet ) able to display it with the Amazing Detail and beauty that I see when I watch the Original video. I have not touched this Track file at this stage because I am going to make that video again in the next couple of days and repost a better copy that closer represents how it looked on my system. So I am sorry it is the full 20 minutes. You can see why I give all credit to everyone involved in developing these amazing Simulators. Where else could someone with the little amount of experience I have, pull off such an attractive video ? Thanks everyone. I hope the Track File works out for you all. I've watched it about 2000 times while making this video and the graphics I see still astound me. I hope to bring you more Much Higher Quality videos in the near future. 1 project down, infinate number to go....Gotta love DCS ;) Attatched should be the Track file you mentioned JimMack. I hope this is useful and i am happy to help in any way I can. Toad. :) Maybe NewTubeF.trk
  11. Thankyou very much Viamanaman. Although I am disapointed with the Upload Quality, I am still pretty happy with the video. The Track file I used was about #25 out of around 80 attempts to make this video. Unfortunately I had some really great camera angles and views towards the end, but after upgrading to DCS P-51D 1.2.1, all of my track files end up corrupted. I think I was extremely lucky that the track file I used ( for some reason ) was just as intact on 1.2.1 as it was on the last Beta. I could play it over and over and it didn't change. And all credit for a good looking video goes to the Developers. All I did was move the camera's. It's pretty hard to get a "Bad Shot" when making videos with this Sim, because everthing just looks fantastic. As a matter of fact, when I first installed version 1.2.1, I could not fly for the life of me. I kept getting distracted by the amazing graphics and just kept ploughing into things while looking at how cool the plane looked :D
  12. Here's my First DCS P-51D Video. Although I am quite happy with the quality of the video file I made, it appears ( after waiting 13 hours for it to Upload ) that something....."Not Good" ....happened during upload and it has a few big glitch's in it that were not present in the Original file. It may take a few more hours for the Video to become a perminant file and clear up, but it is still watch-able at this stage. I can't tell you how much fun I had making this video, but I am sure you all can take a pretty good guess. :D I havent even gotten to my other DCS title yet because I just can't stop flying this beautiful Plane. Ever since I was little, my Dad would put me on his shoulder's at Airshow's so I could see the "Muttang" ( I was only very young ). Flying in this Sim reminds me of all the airshows my Dad took me too, that over time, I had forgotten about. Thankyou Eagle Dynamics for that and so much more.:pilotfly: I still love my Muttangs. DCS P-51D Mustang 1.2.1. Kickin' Convoys I hope you like the Show. :D
  13. Thankyou all for your prompt replies and fantastic hints and tips. I have only ever been a member of one other forum, but left due to Abuse, Accusations, and having my account hacked. All because I dared to suggest that it's about time they stopped adding eye candy to the program and started to work on the reliability of the Program. Eye Candy is no good if it runs like garbage. Thankfully none of that applies to this Forum, the members or the programs that this forum supports. Thank you all for being decent, considerate and very helpful. After my previous experience with forums, I was expecting flame wars and abuse. Not kindness and Actaul Help :O Thanks Everyone :)
  14. @ Air Wolf Isn't it disapointing to see a wonderful Track file ruined for no good reason ? Imagine how I felt when after around 2 months trying to make a video on a weak system, I decided to beef up my PC once and for all so I can get this video out. I spent the $1000 I didn't have. Upgraded to the new version of DCS, only to find that now the odd's of me getting the video out, was only just slightly better than me winning an American Lottery ( I live in Australia and don't buy lottery tickets in other countries ). So you can see my odd's were not looking good. I am glad after all that work, I was finally able to make the video and I will be posting it tonight. It's going to take about 10 hours to upload it so it may not be available to view until the day after tomorrow at least. :(
  15. @ Viamanaman Oh man! That would be soooo sweet if we could run BOTH the Beta and the final version on the same system. With the Success I seem to be having with the Track files from the Beta version, I would start pumping out videos, like Texas Pumps out Oil. :D I am severely addicted to making videos for DCS and much like any other person with a severe addiction, I get frustrated if I can't get my Fix . :D
  16. @Tailgate I was not even aware that you could make a track file from a multiplayer session. Is that a new feature ? Or is it just something I have been overlooking for the last few years ? :D
  17. @Echo38 Wow! The odd's are certainly stacked against us when it comes to free promotion of these products on youtube. People really enjoy watching my DCS BlackShark video "Toad Get's Hit Hard" , but I can guarantee, no matter how much people like that video, they don't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I enjoy making videos in the DCS Range of products. When you compare the end resulting videos of DCS, to the track files I have recorded in the RC sim, you can see that the RC sim's track files work perfectly.....but compared to DCS.....they are dull as dirt. :D You can fly the simplest of missions in DCS, yet by changing a few camera's, the video can make you look like a star.
  18. @ WildBillKelsoe. Thankyou very much for your suggestions on how to ( maybe ) record a successful video using the track files. I think I may have lucked-out because the track file that I created in the beta Version of DCS P-51D has worked perfectly and has not corrupted even slightly. Playing it and moving the camera many times, did not upset the track file one bit and I have been able to create the video I was after. I just finished rendering it and I think it has turned out pretty good. Thanks again for your tips and advice, I will certainly be trying that with my next video.
  19. @ VH-Rock. Ha! Just the night before I posted this thread, I actually watched that video and was both Inspired and Extremely Impresseed with your flying. Congratulations on such a great video. Makes mine look pretty amateur and pale compared to yours. :D
  20. I couldn't agree more... I agree with you 100%. I do not expect a resolution to this issue any time soon as the developers have a lot on their hands at the moment working on 3 different titles at once. I only mentioned the issue's I see because I had experienced them before and I know when I am working on a big project, I can overlook the simplest of things right up until I show someone else the end result and they immediately point out the fault I kept overlooking. It might not be something ED looks into immediately, but I thought I would record the issue's I see here in case in the future when things slow down, ED may be able to read this and check it out to see how wrong I am :D As an interesting side note, after posting my previous reply, I was thinking about the difference's between the Beta version of DCS P-51 and the recent version that was released. Thats when I realized that before changing my HDD to an SSD, I backed up all of my Mission and Track files from the Beta Version of P-51 to an external drive. So I grabbed one of the Track files I created with the Beta version of the Software and loaded it into DCS P-51 and played it. Sure enough, I was right, the tree's do touch the ground ( or go so close you can not tell they are not touching the ground ) and it plays 100% correct. But upon loading a Track file that was created in the latest version of DCS P-51 ( a file that previously played fine ), the Trees were back to being around 10 feet off the ground and the Track file actually played in a corrupt fashion showing me missing targets and clipping the ground. I think if the old Beta track file plays correctly, then I am just going to have to make my video from that file and be happy I was able to create it at all. Thanks again for all your input. If the video goes well, I'll post a link to it in here or the thread that is titled "Show me your breathtaking AG skills! ". Even though my skills are not breathtaking, I do like the video that I may be able to make. Yours Sincerely Toad. :)
  21. I have also noticed that, the tree's in DCS P-51D do not touch the ground and sit approximately 10 feet off the ground and this got me thinking. I fly in another Simulator ( an RC simulator ) and at 1 stage while we were Beta testing it, the models suddenly stopped interacting with the ground properly. Many of the models were sinking into the ground anywhere from 1 inch to several feet and it was a random event. It was not dictated by a particular model of field you flew in. At the same time, models were able to fly clean through many of the 3D objects in the field. And when trying to make your own flying site, 3D items placed in the field were randomly moved to a different location, or just plain dissapeared below ground level upon saving the file. After much troubleshooting, it was discovered that the Collison Meshs's and 3D geometry of the field were being calculted separately and and both were getting completely different results. So the Designers of the program went back and examined the Collision mesh's in the fields and discovered what was happeneing and fixed the issue so that it did not happen again. After that point, people stopped being loaded into the wrong flying site and the Online server suffered a lot less latency and became lot more stable. And that is what got me thinking, maybe it is something along these lines happeneing to the DCS range of products. If the Collison mesh's are calculated separately from the 3d geometry, maybe that could explain why Tree's are growing from 10 feet above the ground, and people seem to be having an issue with Frame Rate at around this elevation. Maybe the Collision mesh's are calculating a different position from the 3D geometry of the ground, and it is done live while you are flying, AND also while a track file is playing. I would have thought that the Track file would simply be a clone of the mission you just flew and would play like a video. But this does not seem to be the case. As I described in my previous post, units, once shot, initiate the sequence of burning then exploding, but in the Erronious track files, it seems that everything that happened in the mission is being re-calculated fresh and it's coming up with a different result from what actually occurred. The reason I think this is because I can shoot a unit in the mission and it catchs fire then explodes as per normal. But during playback of the Track file, I miss the unit I shot at, and it does not initiate the burn sequence. To me, that shows that it is being re-calculated in the track file and the location of my bullett strikes are being calculated to a different location. And because it is calculating live what happened, it deems that I missed the vehicle and the burn sequence does not initiate. This seems very much like the problem we were having in the other simulator. As when you played back one of the replays from that program, the same sort of thing would happen. The model was sunk into the ground only 1 inch when you flew, but when you play back the replay file, it was in random depths every time. I may be waaaaay off base with this idea, but it does seem to be something that could be causeing the issue we see with the Track files. I am an Engineer, but unfortunately, I'm not a software engineer so I do not proclaim to know exactly what I am talking about. But its worth a mention I think. Thanks again for all your feedback. Its a great relief to know that I have not mucked anything up and nor am I going crazy.....yet. :D Toad :)
  22. Waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!! :( Oh man. Thats a real kick where it hurts. I never had this issue with the Beta Version of P-51, it worked without fail every time. Every single track file I created, worked 100%. Now it seems I can not get one to work for me even if my life depended on it. Its a real shame that it is doing this because the DCS range of Simulators are the Best the World has to offer and I Love the videos that can be made with them. I really hope the Desgners can figure out what the difference's were between the Beta Version and the Final editoin, to fix this issue. I remember many years ago I had the exact same issue's with LOMAC, and was extrememly pleased to see that when I bought DCS BlackShark 1, then 2, that they did not suffer from the same issue and was hoping they had it nailed once and for all. But it doesn't seem like that is the case :( Thankyou all for you Instant replies and information. It is nice to know I am not going crazy......well.....not yet anyway :D I do have to add, as much of a problem as I am having with the Track Files, I am absolutely loving the Simulators and just can not get enough of them. All my Xbox 360 games and PC games have totally been ruined by the DCS range of products, because they can not even hold a candle to the entertainment value of these Simulators. Bravo Eagle Dynamics. Keep up the great work :D Thanks everyone. :) Toad. :)
  23. Hi All :) For a couple of months now I have been flying in DCS P-51D Mustang and trying to record a Track file of the mission to Post a video on YouTube. But my system was not up to the job :( So I upgraded my system and found that the Beta version of DCS P-51D was running fantastically. So i started working on the video again. But then I noticed that there was a new range of updates for all the products (DCS_World_en_1.2.1.5970 , A-10C_1.2.1.5970 , P-51D_1.2.1.5970 , KA-50_1.2.1.5970 ). So I followed the uninstallation instructions for my old editions of these programs, and then installed the new Versions as directed on the Home Site. Since then, I have found that I can fly a mission of my own making, finish it and save the track file. Upon playing this 20 minute Track file, I have found that in random place's, the Track file starts showing things that did not happen in the mission I just flew. For example, I have 4 groups of 4 units travelling along a road. I make several pass's firing rockets, then whe they are gone, I finish off the remaining units with machine gun fire. Upon finishing the mission, I save the track file. Then, when I go to watch the track file, at random spots between 5-10 minutes into the Track file, the plane suddenly takes a completely different path from what I actually flew in the mission. When firing at units on the ground, the Track file shows me Straifing empty ground, anywhere up to 200 meters away from the units I actually shot and killed. And in many place's, I have had the Plane, clip the ground, stall the engine and glide off in the direction I flew away, when flying in the mission....even though that did not happen. It can also, roll on its back for no reason and plunge into the ocean, when that never happened in the mission either. Is anybody else seeing this as well ? Does anyone know what may be causeing this ? Or have a solution as to how I can avoid this happeneing as it is making it almost impossible to make my YouTUbe video while this continues. I have also had the Track file play correctly upon first play, then on second play, it plays the track file incorrectly again. And randomly switchs between the correct way of playing the file, and incorrect way of playing the file. Am I going nuts ? Please say no :D Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. :) Toad.:helpsmilie:
  24. Success!! :D Well I finally got the thing to install and run. It looks so much better than the previous editions and runs much better. Pity about the Loss of the English files for the Ekran. I understand there is a fix which I may look at later. Thanks for your help on this matter and I look forward to seeing you all Online now that I am patched up and ready to go. Toad.:D
  25. Cool. Good to know. Thankyou I have a somewhat decent system, so hopefully it should be fairly quick, I just have to be patient. My system consists of :- AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition Windows 7 Professional 64bit Gigabyte HD5770 Ati Video Card. 6Gig of Ram. 1TB HDD 10,000rpm 64mb cache. Logitech G-15 Keyboard ( the one with the Blue Screen ) Built in Realtek Sound 620W Seasonic Modular Power Pack. It's not too high on the list of computers, and it's no gamers PC, but it's pretty good none the less. I am a little dissapointed with the FPS benchmark on the Phenom II 965 and will be looking to replace it at some stage. Thanks again for all your help. I am about to try your suggestion to just wait:D, and I will post the results as soon as it is done. Toad.
