  1. Hi guys pacotito: That sounds good to save space in the SSD, never heard of that but definitevely will google it :smilewink: cichlidfan: glad to hear that, because I select it for the reliabiliaty more than speed, the bad thing is that it's delayed and it will arrive on monday on tuesday. Thanks you very much guys, your advice were very helpfull
  2. Hi again, finally get the joystick to work properly, it's 2:10am but did it: The A-10C is a joy to fly with the force feedback, you can feel the speed and turns, but I have a doubt, the grip feels "heavy" in a short dive, but when I dive from high alttitude and reach 500 knots or more, then recover the plane from the dive and the grip doesn't feel "heavy", I can easily pull up with no effort, is that normal in the A-10c, should not be harder to pull up due to high speed, or it's easy because the hydraulic system of the plane, or I'm mising something in the joystick configuration? And now the P-51, it's simple amazing, no more shaking, the problem was the three axis assigned to the trim controls, I clear them from the config, and the plane fly smooooooth and straight, and with the force feedback flying the P-51 it's an amazing experience, you can control the plane with more precision, make turns without enter in a stall or spin, and that is not all, aiming it's even more easy and accurate deffinitely I will spend more hours flying both planes. Will have to trim with the keyboard, but that's not big deal. PeterP reallly, really thank you very much you were very helpfull  Best Regards
  3. Hi PeterP Thanks as always you are very helpfull, I will have some free time tonight and will check all the details in those links to make the proper configuration. :joystick: By the way, I'm considering to make an extension for the MS joystick and join it with the CH Figthterstick grip, and I read you used a counterweight in your Forcefeedback project, because the grip of the cougar is heavy, but in this case the grip of the fighterstick is very light, do you think will be neccesary to use a counteweight? Thank you very much PeterP
  4. Hi, finally get one of this just to know what is this all about forcefeedback stuff, and after some quick test, I understand why people who used it don't want to go back to the traditional joystick, It's a more realistic experience. Well now I just need to know one more thing... how I configure this thing to properly behave with the P-51 and the Warthog, with the warthog, it doesn't fell any response, it just move as my other joystick, but in the p-51 the planes shakes a lot, and only roll to the left, but right rolls slightly. And trimming the p-51 with a joystick axis is very complicated, basically you need precission movements, that only hall effect sensor have, trimming using the keyboard it's more simple, but it's more fun and realistics do it with a joystick axis. Any advice on how to configure the joystick for both planes, and some advices for trimming the plane with an axis. Thanks
  5. Hi there, yes I consider to switch to Intel, but it will require to buy a new processor and the idea now it's to spend only the necessary cash, I know Intel runs better, but it cost more than AMD. About google the motherboard, apparently it can unlock cores, but the chipset only support 4800mt and the fx processors are 5200mt so it won't be using the full potential of the new processors. Will have to save more money to buy a more capable motherboard. About the SSD I buyed the Crucial M4 it should arrive on Friday, very good reviews for a gaming pc, and your idea of combining it with the other hard drive sound good. Let's see the prices in a couple of months and if they are good I will switch to Intel. Thanks for your advice you are very kind
  6. Hi, I'm planning on updating my pc with a new motherboard the ASUS M5A97 and a OCZ Vertex 3 120gb ssd, but I have some doubts: Link to motherboard specifications Motherboard: 1- Can this motherboard unlock cores of a Socket AM3 Phenom II 550 x2 BE processor? 2- Will it be compatible with the new revisions of the FX processors that will be released in the next months? (Update the processor is in the list too) :smilewink: 3- Do you guys recomend this motherboard? SSD 1- The OCZ Vertex 3 have a good performance for gamming, or should I look for another one? 2- 120GB are enought for gamming in terms of storage space? (Windows 7, DCS A-10C, DCS P-51, DCS CA, Battlefield 3, Rise of Flight - For music, movies and more I have another Hard disk drive) All of this will be complemented with 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz and 2 HD 5770 in crossfire Thanks in advance
  7. Hi guys, I was away from the sim a long time and don't had time to check if new updates comes with a different folder structure and filename, but I will make some time this weekend to verify it and if necessary update the utility. Thanks for your interest
  8. Glad you like it guys :smilewink:
  9. Hallo PeterP Thank you very much for your help, with the info in the link I finally solve the problem with the cockpit zoom and the menus, now everything works fine. Curiously DCS World runs smoother than DCS A-10C, maybe they improved the graphics engine, and if thats the case, then I hope it gets even better with the final release. Again Thanks a lot you are very kind
  10. Hi guys, today I had the opportunity to test the famous eyefinity with 3 monitors each one with a resolution of 1366x768. All the setup process in the catalyst control panel was fine, but when checked the screen resolution I get 4080x768 and my guess was it should be 4098x768, but it's ok, 18 pixels less is no big deal. In the sim, I configure the resolution to 4080x768 and aspect ratio to 5.3125 and monitors to 1. Run a quick mission and the cockpit looks to close, so I tried to zoom out it, and it just zoom out a little bit and that's all. Then I tried a basic configuration with a resolution of 1366x768, aspect ratio 1.7786 and monitor to 1, and with that config I was able to zoom out a lot. Then tried in DCS P-51 and with the resolution of 4080x768 and aspect ratio to 5.3125 and monitors to 1 and it happens the same, the mission starts with the cockpit too close. That's how it works or I'm missing something in the configuration, and by the way the video cards used are two ATI HD 5770 running in crossfire. Somebody could help me please, thanks in advance. :helpsmilie:
  11. Looks amazing, excellent work, watch it working must be awesome. Please could you tell us how do you configure it, what additional software do you need, etc etc. Felicitaciones (Congratulations)
  12. Well in that case, a free file with ejection seat decals won`t be bad  Cheers
  13. Thanks for posting about it, the DVD of the Zero looks cool  Regards
  14. Wow they look fantastic
  15. Hi reactorone, excellent work with those panels they look great  And by the way is there any chance you could add to the package some ejection seat labels just to make home made cockpit seat looks cool? :smilewink: Thanks
  16. Hi again Problem solved, the dual link dvi cable works fine, but another dvi to hdmi cable was needed, but I had one available at home. It's amazing having three monitors on your desktop. Cheers
  17. Yep a better processor should be great, I play many games and it will be great for rise of flight, because it makes use of 4 cores processors. Greetings
  18. Hi, I finally get an active dvi to displayport adapter to connect a third monitor, this one has DVI and VGA entry, but it only came with the VGA video cable, so I use a VGA to DVI adapter, and surprise, it doesn't work, I was searching for info and apparently this kind of active adapters don't allow you to use "other adapters" so the only choice is to buy a DVI to DVI cable, and here is where I need help. The only DVI to DVI cable in the store is Dual Link and in the package of the displayport adapter it says "DisplayPort to Single Link DVI", so can I use the Dual Link cable or should I go directly for a Single Link cable? Please help me :helpsmilie:
  19. Thank you very much guys, following your advice I will save the money for the new AMD 7000 Series. Greetings
  20. Hi guys, recently I switch from 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz to 8GB 1600Mhz and DCS Warthog, Rise of Flight and Battlefield 3 runs great, however I wonder If I add another 8GB will I notice a significant improvement or the actual ammount of memmory is enough and should invest that money in another hardware? Thanks in advance
  21. Hi, looks like the usb ports are not the problem, did you try with another usb cable? Good luck
  22. Wow so many changes in the next patch, but anyone knows if we will be able to use again third party software like hidmacros? It works really great from the beta to the 1.1.0.8 version, and I have hope we could be using it with the new patch. Cheers
  23. Hi, yes the seller says the same about the card, the newer models can't be unlocked, but overclock it a little bit is not a bad idea. However my biggest concern is about using those 3 monitors and still having a good framerate, because will be really dissapointing to buy a new card and still having low fraps. Thanks guys
  24. Hi guys, need you advice on this, right now I have a Crossfire 5770, it runs ok, mostly on 35-30 fps with two 1920x1080 monitors, I'm planning to connect a third monitor 1366x768 but I need to buy an active display port adapter to use it, and to maintain crossfire activated. I've tested connecting the third monitor on the second card deactivating crossfire, and the sim runs really slow 5-10 fps. :( However I see the HD 6950 2GB version, is in a very affordable price, so my question is: If I buy the the display port adapter, crossfire will be active again, but will I have 25-30 using the three monitors, or it's a very large resolution even for both cards in crossfire? With the HD 6950 2GB can I have the three monitors connected, with a very good framerate? Thanks in advance
  25. Is that a mod or a newer version of the joystick?
