  1. Ok that clears that one, sorry again for asking such a silly question. Have you tried re-installing and re-patching? what version are you running? Have you got the latest drivers for your video card? the error message may not be pointing to your system memory, it might be complaining about your Graphics card memory? I hope you can get LOMAC working
  2. Funny you should mention that, I was just thinking about the AAA fire in LOMAC, and yes it would be great to fly towards a target, being harrassed by manually aimed AAA, especially at night, the lighting effects in LOMAC would really do that justice with the tracer fire and all.
  3. This might sound a daft question to ask you, but have the two sticks of RAM in your machine got the same values? this is quite important. For example my machine has: Two 512Mb PC3200 400Mhz sticks. Sorry to ask this simple question, but I want to be sure, before trying to help further, if I can of course.
  4. I voted for the SU-27/33 for the simple fact I dont think they are as capable as they should be. ( turn rates) ( speed loss in turns ) ( radar ) blah blah. I might be wrong, but I swear the SU-27 performed better in "Flanker"
  5. Anything that reduces TOT has got to be good!! The less time I spend dodging AA fire the more chance the plane has of getting out of it. Despite being slower however, the A10 can knock out air defences at range with Mavs, so that it can proceed to target un-disturbed. so there are ups and downs with both aircraft, as we have dis-cussed. I suppose with this flight sim its how you prefer to fly at the time of loading up LOMAC. Who needs more airplanes?? I dont... every aircraft has got all the different aspects of a flight sim I want, so why ask for more.
  6. I have to agree with you there, the jump between flying the A10 and SU-25 is quite large, and it is real fun lining up targets and flying about on instruments. For some reason I also feel safer in the SU-25 which invites me to take more risks when attacking targets.
  7. Perhaps this thread should be a sticky??
  8. Some more videos would be nice its true :) Gotta love the landing one though, the SU25T landing on that carrier stopping on the top of the launch ramp and sliding back down, was awesome, reminded me of a skateboarder in a halfpipe, but with a bloody jet plane!! brilliant stuff!!
  9. Which is one reason why this sim is impossible to put down.
  10. Re: SU-25T Aiming TV Thats good to hear, I have found often with the A10 that to get close enough to identify the air-defences around the target, the shilkas already spraying and a missle is ripping its way towards you. I have remedied this by approaching real low and with the cover of terrain, screaming over the target area making the AA light up, then I can pinpoint the locations on the air defences. But the extra zoom with SHKVYL system will provide that standoff ability, to pick off the air-defences, which would then allow me to close in for a more devestating attack on the main target. Another weapon to aid my hatred of SAM Sites!!!
  11. I must admit, in all the time ive been flying LOMAC, I had not touched upon the Russian fighters through my own ignorance. This past week I made myself fly them and learn their ways, and you know what, I now seriously enjoy flying these aircraft in the sim, with proper trimming and care they are so graceful in flight and deadly in combat, the lack of digital technology in the cockpit makes it that more thrilling and satisfying when you take down a Western jet, the types of which that are made out to be near invincible. If anyone has been too bias to fly the Russian planes, swallow the bias and fly them, they truely are pure good fun and deadly powerful, in the right hands these angels of flight are the devils of combat. :D Sorry about that, but I had to say it, im just enjoying the flying of the Russian aircraft way too much
  12. I know, it may have seemed a pretty common sense question, but I had to be sure, myself personally I dont like downloading games for some strange reason, but for LOMAC its something that just has to be done!! :D Thanks for answering my question, I just had to be sure thats all
  13. The Vikhr as far as I know is a LASER weapon, would I be right in saying the Vikhr can be tracked to a target mid flight?
  14. Yep you hit the nail on the head there I think Joe
  15. Its the real deal physics and flight intelligance of the vikhr, Commanche vs Hokum did not model this, but the good people at ED have kindly put this into LOMAC, which is REALLY impressive stuff!!! :)
  16. Hi guys I just wanted to ask a quick question about the new SU-25T, I have noticed the aiming TV for the vikhr seems to have a higher zoom level than that on the A-10 in 1.02, which is great if true, because targets will be so much easier to identify at longer ranges to the point of saying "Thats a tank" "Thats AD" etc. Is this true or am I seeing things? Thanks in advance guys. :D
  17. On the subject of the downloadable version, are we allowed to burn it to CD so that we wont ever lose it due to HD failure and suchlike?
  18. Pleased to be here thanks for all you hard work, it is much appreciated. I look forward to the 1.1 update, and being able to steal the use of someones broadband connection to get hold of it
