  1. Problem is: this is not what we should see and not what is in the documentation. The behaviour we are looking now is not what a "normal" HSI does. O normal HSI has 2 needles: 1 of them points the direction to a waypoiunt FROM your actual position, and the other shows the planned path from 1 waypoint to the next one, so you can use them both to find the proper navigation path. ANd the heading in degrees on the top left corner, definetely is not working. Rreading the manual it clearly says that should give you the heading from the actual position to the selected waypoint if you are navigating. Hopefully it will be fixed
  2. I can confirm that too. I was just about to post it and saw this post. ATTItude autopilot is not working since last update, it was ok in the initial 2.7 update, it is the latest update that broke it. The autopilot all the time tries to bank rick, very slowly but in a constant way . This happens also with the altitud autopilot, it holds altitud, but starts banking righ slowly. At some point, both autopilots desingage.

  5. You are describing how it should work, but it is not working like that, have you read my description of the problem? the heading on top left never changes...
  6. Hi. I have jsut noticed the HSI "needles"are not working. When you set up a waypoint, needles appear on the HSD pointing at it, but they freeze there. Once you change to navigate to that waypoint, that initial heading pointing never chages anymore. In the screenshot you can see the "needles" and on the top left cornet the course. The degrees pointed as the course to waypoint 1 is clearly wrong. Also, the HSI "needles"shoould be pointing to the waypoint? they are not and it doesnt matter if I go all the way around the waypoint in curcles, those needles stay in that position with no chage at all. The red line I draw is what is the course the HSD is telling me to follow, the blue line is what it should be. Clearly the course stated on the top left, 189 degrees, is not OK because the course should is something like 220 degrees
  7. Hi. Anyone known what is this for? There is a buttom on the left of the HSD MFCD screen, called "open" and can be changed to PRTY. I can see what it does
  8. Hello. Im trying to do air refuel. I have found a couple of videos with slightly different information while setting the tacan in one video it is said ti use channel 033 Y, the other video talks about channle 16 X None of these settings give me the tacan to work, what settings are you using guys?   10. Hi. Im having these small issue: when a F14 launches an AIM54, I can see the smoke trail of the missile only if I zoom in my cockpit view. I hav seen tutorial videos where the smoke trail is visible without making any zoom in. What is the video setting that might be affecting my configuration in such a way I need to zoom in? I have a nvidia video card, I control antialising and all video setting from the card configuration. Any setting on the SIM I shloud take a look too? Thanks in advance for the help
  11. Yes, that is what I think it is happening, OR the missile head is being active but there is no warning in the su27 defense systems
  12. Here you have another tacview file: Im facing a F14, I shoot him my missile, a second later he shoots me his AIM54, and he immediately goes vertical to evade my missile. He even drp the tanks. I saw the AIM54 launch, and again I did my best to try to be in a good position to check if a warning would be triggered and also I did small evasive movements to the side so if the missile was not being guided by TWS, there is no chance the missile to follow those path changes, and if it did follow me using its head, for sure I should have gotten a warning: my bank angle was barely 5/10 degrees. magical_aim54.zip.acmi
  13. SO basically what we have here is an invincible oponent because the lauch happens before I even can shoot my R27s. Even using SD-10s woud not be possible here. Doing evassive maneouvers are also pointless since the AIM54 launched at that distance has more than enough energy to reach a maneouvering target. This is like in real life is working? But thinking a little more: this is not what Im observing: the F14 that is lauching these AIM54, launches the missile and the he just turn around, how is he keeping his TWS "lock" on my when he is giving me his 6 to me? Also, the missile head shouldnt go active automatically or the pilot can choose to deactivate it and handle the missile all the way in TWS mode? Why The F14s are then just not using TWS mode all the time? the have more than enough time to keep enemy on the TWS before being shot.
  14. Fist of all, I want to thank you Ironhand for all your instructional videos, Im your fan. I dont understand why is this called "a feature": I understand that launched in TWS mode, I should not receive a warning, but why Im not receiving anything once the missile goes active? Update: I have seen you track, then you are confirming there is a bug here. That missile come straight to you and you received no warning when the missile went active
  15. Hello. Take a look at the tackview track I posted. Im facing a problem now where the F14 launches the AIM54s, at a very close distance (25/30 Nm???!!!), with no launch warning . Tha is expected because I guess AI is using the TWS launch mode. BUT, I should receive a RWS warning once the AIM54 heads activates its own radar. That is how it should works, how I think it was working at least 3 weeks ago. But now The misil is being lauched to me, and I get absolutely no warning at all. In the track I point my nose directly to the misil on purpuse to be sure that my RWS is on the same plane than the misil is.   16. Hello. Im flying the su-27, and since last update Im not receiving a launch warning when an AIM-7 missile is shot to me. No warning at all in the EWR. I looked for info and saw this bug was reported before, so maybe the last updates brought the bug to life again? Flying DCS-openbeta

Hello I have installed the su-27 campaign and it is really impresive how much better it feels to fly a mission now having this dinamic contects affecting your flying decitions! jajaj I have 2 questions: 1.- How can I change o restrict some weather configurations because I usally get a super cloudy weather that almost kills my FPS, so for now I would like to have clear weather or at least not so heavy clouds (sometimes I get cloud starting from 1500 all the way up till 7000 meters...) 2.- I would like to build and share campaigns. I have some basic LUA knowledge and still improving , but I have not been able to find the MBOT DCE framework... Where can I find it and its documentation? Thanks in advance
  18. Why do you say Im using only the 5%. I was told by ED in a support ticket that the module included a "new Kuznetsov". Where is this famous new red ship? because the only thing on the module is a new 3D model, the same one offered by free in the latest update, so what Im getting for my $40s? I could agree about: "you get all the blue carrier good stuff", but I asked about the Kuznetsov in a support ticket and I was told the new module included a new Kuznetsov... where is the "new" Kuznetsov?
  19. Not exactly: I wrote a support ticket to ED asking for the super carrier features, and I asked what was goign to be added to the Kuznetsov. The answer I got was a "the new Kuznetsov is being also included", and nothing more than that. So, if ED tell you "the new Kuznetsov...", one can be expeting something more than just a new 3D model, specially because that "new" 3D model is already being offered for free in the beta version. Now you see the point? Ed never said the Kuznetsof was going to get great updates, but also never said the contrary when specifically asked about it. And that is why I want my refund, I was expecting a "new Kuznetsov", and I only got a 3D model that is already being offered for free.

It is a carrier, and it was designed specially for not falling into certain restrictions imposed by international treaties where much bigger carries would have fall (it is a think about how big the carrier is and in wich seas the carrier can move) If Kuznetsof was not going to be part of the development, then ED should have made it very clear. If you contact ED support, the answers you get about it is "read the forum" or read the module description, where Kuznetsov is mentioned, but the information is very vague, and no, it seems intentionally done like that to me. Im asking a refund now, I hope ED has the politeness to do the right thing. If they wanted to only update the 3d model... then they should have sold it separately and not charge the red team for blue upgrades.

  22. well, it feels bad. Paying $40 for a module named "supercarrier" that only brings updates for the american side is not nice since the thing is not really clear and one expect something more than just getting a new 3d model and wheel breaks. Im asking a refund now...
  23. The super carrier add-on looks great, but is mainly focused towards american carrier, at least at this time. I have asked this question to support team and I only got a: "check forum" answer Can someone give an official answer about what new features/enhancements will the russian side get in this module? So far I have bought the module and seems I paid $40 for jst a new 3d model of the Kuznetsov... Thanks in advance
  24. Thanks for the info. I have tried loking for examples, and found nothing. Do you have any example I can see? im not really skilled in LUA si It would help me a lot to see some examples on how to do this.
  25. Dead and damaged units Hello. Im starting to do some lua scripting, im in a very beginner state yet. But im super interested in MIST, awesome work! I have read almost all pages but a I haven't got a final conclusion about this: Can I get a list of dead units after a mission ends? Most sure the answer is yes. But Im not sure how to save that info so I can read it in another mission. My objective is to be able to run a mission and in the next mission units destroyed or damaged should simply be removed or deactivated, so a very interesting "interactive" scenario would be possible. Most sure this has already been done? If so can someone point me to an example mission or show me the scripting to do this? Thanks very much in advance
