  1. Disregard ... don’t wait your time I’m uninstalling and reinstalling DCS.
  2. Yikes it doesn't look like it flys without the keyboard binds ... I may have f'up !
  3. Well, I was set up new rig and got in a hush the bind the hornet for a test flight and I accidently cleared all the keyboard binds... yikes! I really would like to have them back. Any help or advice. Thanks
  4. Yea Lance I honestly had that on my mind too but I need to watch the video and brush up on the how to.. looks alittle complicated but I will do the research for it. Sorry to ask all these easy questions to some but I’m honestly not to good with all this computer stuff yet. I’m learning though and at my age ... that’s a good thing. Thanks ! Thanks A D ! That’s definitely possible. I did do a search on that and I do have another Ethernet cable. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Rgrt — As of now I think I will do a fresh install I have very fast internet so no prob downloading my mods and maps ect. I’m just gonna put DCS on the main M.2 NVMe drive and add a separate ssd later and move the sim to its on drive. Gotta research on how all that works because I have never done that before. I’m Also upgrade from a warthog hotas , the stick to the RealSimulator R3L base and F16 grip so I’ll be busy for a few days for sure. Thanks all
  6. I got my VRWave lense in yesterday and tried them out.... I DON’T Like them ! The quality is great but be careful they will fall off if you have to lift the headset up to take a peek at something, keyboard, monitor or take a sip of your beer/beverage. It’s alittle better in clarity but not the Wow !!!! Hell Yeah ! Better. I really don’t like how it attaches either like I said if you don’t check it every once in awhile they will fall off as you lift the headset off. I guess it takes alittle time to get use to like everything else. It’s not VRWaves fault and would of been better if it attaches magnetically like other VR sets. Very good quality and excellent packaging and shipment.
  7. Yeah the USB ID string I was told that I had to that so still not quit sure how I want to do this. I’m also thinking about installing DCS on its own drive too which I’ve noticed what a popular thing to do. Thanks Lang
  8. Yes thats what I'm thinking of doing also. I would think that there is less background services stuff running on a separate ssd drive. But l'm not sure how it all ties into one ...haha ! I never went this route and have only been at this for almost a year now. But I will def do some research first. I'm also wondering if I can put this new ssd Evo860 in this machine and copy dcs on it and then put it in the new machine. I have the cable to do this with SSD side to USB, is this possible?
  9. Well do aceviper as soon as I can get a chance thx!! Thanks again speed, my new rig comes tommorrow so I'll be starting from scratch again. I'm debating if I should run DCS on main drive M.2 NVMe or put DCS on its own SSD drive EVO860 1 TB. I'm not sure how all that works yet with a game being on a separate drive and running steamVR, Discord, MSI Afterburner ect. I will end up copying dcs on this rig and putting on the new one as I was recommended to do. I know it's probably simple but I have never done that before, I have been running DCS on main single NVMe 2.5 drive for a year. So, I'm doing research on the how to for dummies thing beforw I attempt it. Thanks !
  10. All good advice thank you. Yeah I may copy and install to new machine. I have 2 DCS open beta folders, 1 in program files and the other in users/saved games which I reckon I have to copy both right? thanks everyone
  11. Well actually will be here tomorrow. My question is that do I have to logout DCS with my other rig so I will be able to download all my mods, maps and missions I have purchased and accumulated. I was going to copy them and install on new rig but I want to start over/fresh. thanks for advice with this process.
  12. I just watched a few videos about this and its interesting. So you have your initial size @32000MB and Maximum @ 64000MB ?
  13. Yes the Hornet was fine for me too. The Tomcat and Syria ... forget about it ! runs terrible fps drops to 18-23, terrible stutters too. Okay will do thanks again.
  14. Oh wow I don't remember doing any of that and will definitely check it this evening. Thank you !
  15. Can you please explain how to do this, is this info. in your 3090 settings for g2 post? If possible thank you.
  16. I have no problems with the F18 Hornet but when I switch to the Tomcat and F16 my fpsvr graph goes to red and drops to like 20-30 fps and very stuttery and unstable. And if I go back in the Hornet it remains that way until I restart everything. What do I need do to fly these 2 jets without losing my smooth play/clarity, I mostly play Multiplayer/BFM. Will my new rig i9-10900K -RTX3090 and 64gb ram be the fix for this issue. Res. 48% - closest to Native Res. 2160x2160 SteamVR @ 50 - 54% --- Sometimes Lower Motion Smoothing : Enable Legacy Reprojection Mode : ON
  17. Welcome to DCS ! All great information given to you above so I will make this a short one. I bought an Alienware R9 last year for only DCS because I didn’t know anything about a gaming rigs, I think I could of bought all the parts to build one but I decided to buy this Alienware machine which was actually cheaper giving the warranty that comes with Dell. I have owned Dell machines for over 20+ years and still using my 12 year old laptop for work purposes. But as far the Alienware gaming machines I have had a great experience of it running DCS which is the only thing I do with it. It’s done such a great job with DCS that I just ordered the R11 - i9-10900KF - M.2 NVMe 2tb -Rtx 3090 -64gb Xfury Ram @ 3400MHz alittle over $4700 US. I did a parts price check and it was way over that price. The Dell sales person couldn’t come down on the price but he gave me the best warranty they had. He also offered me 128gb of 3200mhz Ram which I opt for the 64/ 3400. I got this for VR purposes and hopeful will last at least 5 years... hopeful. But anyways Alienware is a super great prebuilt rig for DCS. My R9 runs it great. there’s a lot of great stuff coming down the rail from Eagle Dynamics and their partners and I am getting ready now. I hope this helps in any way and Welcome again Cheers
  18. Oh ok gotcha thx ! I’m thinking when I updated the new nvidia drivers it threw something off but was able to get the tracking back in order. thx !
  19. No probs with the new drivers here.
  20. Disregard it’s back thx shaunx i guess resetting the working environment twice did the trick.
  21. Yeah it’s well light room. I’ll check the plug in. I reset my room environment but still when I move my head side to side the whole moves... I don’t remember it doing that, sometime when you move extreme like that you head goes out the cockpit
  22. Well for some reason when I have my G2 on and Im in the cockpit and move my head side to side the whole plane moves with my movement. Also messes up the radar gun piper in the hornet. I wonder if updating the Nvidia drivers to 461.92 has something to do with it.... I dont have a clue what is happening. Any advice ?
  23. I went ahead and got the F16 stick. Super duper fast shipping my base is out for delivery today and I ordered 3 days ago that’s amazing !!!!
  24. No prob. My base is already shipped and I ordered it yesterday. I am probably going to get the viper grip in a couple of weeks.
  25. Well I gonna be using the warthog grip with the base. I’m not sure about rs grip on warthog. Sorry maybe email them. The grips a have a lot more programmable features
