Standard or DCH ? " DISREGARD "
-
Valuable information ! Thank you and I’m gonna check mine out for sure.
-
Yeah I saw the Feild of View setting info. as I have mine set the same way, but I guess you just have the Override World Scale disabled and not using it. Going back to triple check.
-
Hey Speed, are you doing anything with the new SteamVr setting " Override World Scale " . Thanks !

I did a slow repair and turned my HAGS back on. So far so good. I also got an Alienware win10 update too. I’ve been playing most of the day with only 2 crashes so it not quit unplayable

Crashes is back-now can’t detect my audio and headset. Doing slow repair.

Thinking of going ultrawide 21:9
Burt replied to Bossco82's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I’ve been playing a lot more on my ultra wide 1440p and Tracker IR just because of the clouds and how crisp everything looks. actually stunning at times but I do a lot of BFM and can’t just look around and soak the beauty up. Sorry I have no experience with 4K. 1440 ultra wide looks way better then my G2. My 34” UltraWide is a curve also. As always a change like this takes a few weeks to get use too. -
Just an update from yesterday after The update, I played for about 4 hours in single mission and didn’t have 1 crash. Maybe the update fix my issue I don’t know. I did update to the latest NVidia Drivers from 466.27 to 466.47 and so far everything is working properly with no crashes. I didn’t have to rename/rebuild any files. I’m hoping everything will remain this way.

Burt, you lucky bastard. You came home from a hard days of work rushed home and got the update today and played for 4 hours and no crash issues... not one.
-
Thanks Flappy ! I will try this evening.

I just don’t understand that I can bench mark stress test on my fully updated rig with great results and then boot up DCS and crash after each mission. I also invested in a new item too which is a RealSimulator R3L base and F16 grip which takes a bit getting use too. So this is why this crash issue is really getting out of hand. Sooo frustrating. I hope it’s a priority issue to get a patch/update for it.

I could play other games that are more system and gpu demanding than DCS with no issues with so ever. Then run DCS open beta and crash one session after another... so yeah it’s definitely a coding thing which I know zip about. I did all the updates-page filing- disabled all overclocking “which I shouldn’t have too” etc. This crashing issue should be top priority for us loyal customers.... I mean like before anything else is added. It’s getting worse and more aggravating each time.

I’m using the newest nvidia driver and the lasteat one. My system is totally up to date. Multiplayer is okay but single missions, forget about it crash after crash. latest windows nvidia drivers 466.27 and the new one 466.47. I honestly don’t think the new 2.7 is not loading properly. And also something to do with the new fire effects. I also know that we are testers as it’s Open Beta version but I have invested a lot money and paid for my share of maps and mods. Never had any crashes before the update... not 1 since I started April 2020 Sorry I know they are working on it but it’s getting alittle frustrated because it’s getting worst. I just Wish I had the knowledge to help troubleshot the issue. I’m confident that it’s not on my end. Thanks Flappy

That all sounds awesome but man the crashing issue is so terrible right now ... this evening is the worst I have seen it 5-6 crashes in a roll. Played for hours last night with 1 crash. I'm excited about this but first things first .... the game needs fixing first. Sorry but I totally frustrated right now.

Holy crap ! 6 crashes back to back within 30-40 mins. one after another.
-
Yes I’m having a lot more crashes in the last 2days. Normally I would start DCS- crash and burn and get the second mission start crash out the way and then I could fly for hours with no crashing. This evening, I have had 5 crashes within 30 mins. Restarting rig doesn’t help. I’ll keep going until the handshake has been made, I want to fly tonight.
-
Yeah, thats what I think now.

Hello ! Are guys using the boundary or seated feature of WMR for the G2. I've been using the boundary and wanted to know there is a difference between the 2 as far as tracking. DCS is all I play. Thanks
-
Awesome ! I'm thinking about changing my environment to the seated position instead of boundary.
-
Lol ! I’ll try that this evening because I had quit a few crashes yesterday / last weekend a few in a multiplayer bfm server right after a kill... now that’s alittle aggravating to say the least.
-
Disregard the crash is back. Somethings missing the handshake.
-
I ran a Windows Troubleshooter the other day for nothing to do with DCS but for a Microsoft Store issue I was having and I did that Thursday evening. Now I’m not saying this is the cure but honestly since that evening I haven’t had not 1 crash out of many hours and 3 days. I just wanted to put that out. I’m totally updated on everything with DCS rig bios and all. I was also having the second mission crash thing going as everyone else and as of that Thursday evening I can’t duplicate it. Disregard still a crash here and there. Just today it started doing the second mission crash.... something is not welcoming a handshake. No crash in a multiplayer server mainly single player.

Yeah yesterday when I opted out of wmr beta something good happened. I have been playing for about 4 hours and I have not had one crash in either steamvr /wmr or 2.7
-
So many different updates these days throwing everything outta whack
-
I got the windows update yesterday and figured I would go ahead and try the wmr beta as is and did not perform good at all, a lot of flickering and stutters and finally the steamvr encounter error. So I restarted everything and opted out of wmr beta then started the same mission and everything seemed to perform better but got the second mission crash. After that flew for 2 hours with no issues.
