  1. Yikes that was alittle over a year ago and I have not done this yet. Happy New Year !
  2. The Varjo takes weeks to adjust and adapt too both visual and fit. As everything else with VR, DCS ect. It’s not plug and play. As dburnes said the Varjo is the best of the best and I totally agree. I’m gonna miss his advice.
  3. I have been away for a week or so from this forum because I lost a love one and been mourning. I came in to here to read around and then find this terrible lost of dburnes and adds to my sadness. The man has helped me in many ways here in this forum. I wish I caught this earlier to thank him for everything he had guided me through. Rest in Peace Don
  4. I matched my Aero up with Steel Series Nova 7P it’s Bluetooth / Wireless. It also light weight and fits around the Aero with ease. The audio seems to be okay I haven’t really messed with setting yet but I bet it could sound better. What I like most with this setup is that I can answer phone calls, talk on discord and listen to music while flying these jets… love it !
  5. Tuned rig - Z490 mobo - 10900K @ 5.1 GHz - 3090 undervolted running @ 1965-1985 MHz - Varjo Aero running VFR/DFR with High Graphic settings runs everything perfectly fine, I mean really great performance and edge to edge clarity in the cockpit. I don't see the need to upgrade my rig at the moment. Maybe DCS 3.0 w/ vulcan I may upgrade just because I always wanted to build my own rig. May want to check Task Manager while DCS is running to see if some other program is popping its head looking for an update. Possible your internet speed maybe alittle weak. Just a thought. Honestly think its the headset along with steamvr.
  6. Yeah I gave DLAA a whole week over MSAAx2 and once everything started shaking hands it’s difinitely a slight improvement. No go with the DLSS on this rig. One thing I don’t get is why a lot of folks are using Steam, so many hoops to jump. But yeah DLAA - no sharpening is what my rig likes.
  7. I can tell ya that coming from a perfect performing G2 to a Varjo Aero was a huge improvement in performance from a WMR platform to the Varjo Base software. The almost edge to edge clarity in the cockpit on the Varjo Aero was the big improvement on my upgrade. They say the vertical FOV is alittle short for the Aero but I honestly don't see it, accouple degrees less not a problem, it looks totally natural to me I guess because I'm a hat wearing guy. Would love to try a Pimax one day.
  8. I agree. Disable all labels/dots keep it realistic is how it should be.
  9. Yeah I get it. I have no idea why that was typed 3 times...weird. Hoping the dot pattern gets alittle better for VR, a little dot instead of a slash.
  10. Folks this is a realistic combat simulator disable them dots ! jk Folks this is a realistic combat simulator disable them dots ! jk Folks this is a realistic combat simulator disable them dots ! jk
  11. Is anybody using the F16 Throttle with a Virpil # 1 control panel in place of the TM F16 panel ?
  12. Yup like taz said frame dropping/fluctuation is normal around congested areas- clouds and explosions. Locking to 45 Vsync could help alittle.
  13. Yup dogfight sceniors really need 2 base stations. I have 1 in front about 6' and 1 behind me on my 6 about 6' also, my tracking is solid in dogfights and checking 6.
  14. Never seen that before yikes that made me dizzy ! Have you tried tapping on the headset-wiggling cables while its freaking out like that and also checking if everything is plugged in good.
  15. I've had my Aero since May this year and been totally happy with my investment. I also came from a G2 which I was happy with too both good headsets but the Varjo Aero is a huge step up/forward. I have zero problems with anything as far as Varjo software the headsets performance, eye tracking and the outstanding clarity of the Aero. The FOV thingy I don't ponder on at all because the headset looks perfectly nature as like putting a helmet on and looks realistic enough for me to enjoy and just have fun. I'm using the Aero with OXR- DFR and running the res at 39PPD and I don't see VR getting any better then this combination until we get better support from E D. A lot are soooo hooked on running at a stable 90 fps all the time at different altitudes and scenery/maps, well that's not gonna happen we are always gonna see fluctuation in fps with what we got in DCS at the moment. The solid fps that can be able to achieve a steady fps is locking the vsycn in Varjo Base to 45 fps which works perfect especially in congested multiplayer servers which I do often but mainly just disable it and let the numbers roll. I see a lot of 90 fps up in higher altitudes but mostly anywhere from 55-75 fps. Varjo and E D can't make everyone happy but they make me very happy. My VR experience and performance right now is absolutely awesome, no gripes here and in the cockpit.
  16. You’ll get use to the transition it takes a week or or 2. It just keeps getting better and better honestly. I would highly recommend balancing the Aero out with the Studio form Creative add on it made a huge comfort improvement to the Varjo Aero. https://www.studioformcreative.com/
  17. Looks and feeling are yes two different things. I prefer feeling the G’s and sitting in the aircraft. VR you just got to take what it gives you. But DCS in 2d is stunning and the clouds are beautiful but the feeling of the sim is not realistic. My VR performance with what I got is great and no more tweaking involved I just get on and fly the sim.
  18. When flying other modules before selecting the Tomcat I’m getting crashes. But after restart then selecting the Tomcat first it’s good to go. Anyone having this issue.
