Cheer frazer! Good info. Ill keep at it - seems there's a problem with my throttle - hopefully thrustmaster might be able to help. In the meantime ill keep practicing. :)

thanks. just tried... seems the throttle aint working ..... stuck on 43% looked at thrustmaster and theres a workround..... uninstall.... reflash ... calibrate etc... tried that .... not working .

hmmmm tried that but it dont pick up the throttle as Z..... when looking at the Cougar Viewer from the control panel should pushing the throttle forward and backwards move the Z range ...... if so when moving the throttle nothing happens.

Sorry I meant map the collective to the cougar throttle! ... Up and down ;) Throttle I just leave to auto. But yeah I could map rng to control throttle.

See I really wanna get into the sim more... Im getting better but I want the best possible stick (dont we all!) The cougar has a slight wobble which dont really affect me but I guess if the uber mod gets rid off all the better..... stupid question if I may - but how do I map the throttle to the collective..... I change it via DCS? If i click axis and collective .... and move the throttle it dont pick it up .... if I move the slider .... it registers.

Nice - was just reading the email from Cubpilot today - not sure to look at that or FSSB mod ..... Uber worth the cash and time ? (sorry for the many questions - appreciate your answers)

thats the thing that im not too sure about. the collective is currently set to the RNG knob on the throttle - do people really use the throttle as the collective ?! I find the clicking of the cougar throttle drives me nuts !

:worthy::worthy::worthy: (FRAZER air display....) all I can say is wow! Some questions ! How on earth does the helicopter just pitch up nicely at the start and balance on rear wheels ?! - as soon as I take off helicopter instantly goes backwards and usually to the right or something :joystick: ..... How on earth do you get to instantly hover just off the ground and lift up wheels - I see there is no hover mode turned on?! - Ive instantly gone a little higher before I can trim! :joystick: is this all trimmed ? or has the guy got a surgeon quality ultra steady hand ! All I can say is whenever I get frustrated I watch this video over again to see how it can be done! Frazer : Any tips you can give regarding the control setup - trimming etc ! Im using a stock cougar at the moment - maybe not the best stick for precise helicopter flying ? but am thinking of getting the FSSB mod (once Ive robbed a bank!....) - also watching for the new Saitek and Thrustmaster HOTAS before I make a decision.... I just want the HOTAS that will let me (one day?!) fly like that. Congratulations on an awesome video :thumbup:

ok after using the g25 pedals for a while think Im gonna get some new pedals. What are the better pedals to get to go with my Cougar ? or a better option as seperate ? TIA

mine is working fine now - I didnt hit `run as administrator` when installing the driver.... (and followed a post elsewhere that suggested installing the original driver as well ... this didnt work) just use the Vista 64 bit driver - good to go.

thanks Spinter - downloaded - the Jpg in the foxy software does not show the button commands - is that correct ? Hard to see what each button does... unless ive done something wrong.

OK after getting used to DCS bit by bit and still learning.... I am using the Cougar profile from Viper (Thanks in advance :) but this is a bit OTT at the moment for me - does anybody use any other profiles that I can try - I changed slowly bit by bit Vipers but will take a long time - might be easier to try another. Any suggestions guys ?
