hey lance can you 'sell it to me` a little more mate?! thing is im not gonna be buying one of the newer sticks to come from ch or thrustmaster... so may well finish off the cougar with the NXT..... the sensors seem very precise...... Ive removed the boot but theres a slight movement on the stick still .... does the NXT remove this ? what else does it do exactly ?

will do - dont have the G25 connected at the same time now.... just ordered a trackir 5 to replace the version 3 ive had forever..... i must be mad for this sim!

managed to get everythin in and YES throttle working again.... tell ya I had a right sweat on with the soldering iron! just got the static friction mod to do on the throttle...... it states clean off the gunk with Isopropyl Alcohol.... I havent got any to hand.... would nailvarnish remover clean off this grease?

just got a usb set .... not used them yet but - this is probably dumb question..... I was using my g25 pedals.... i.e push down for shark rudder.... do I control the shark rudder with this option on the CH pedals or the other option... (the slide option..... << incorrect term lol)

after getting mine from TFC direct... can deffo recommend this guys.

no I ordered the mods from Cubby (http://www.cubpilotshangar.net/index.html) the HS3 kit (for throttle and stick) Screw kit to get rid of the slight wobble :) and the Friction Tape mod for the throttle... been putting it together tonight.... its now 2am and gonna have to call it a day! With the throttle mod - I have the old PCB so require to solder a wire... Ive never owned a soldering iron for years ! so will have to nip out tomorrow and buy one for 1 wire! The joystick mod has had me stumped for an hour or so .... and then Ive just figured it out .... my fault the instructions are good .... but its one of those things where it takes a while once and then you think at the end ... what was all the fuss about... and would take next to no time to do again. Calling it a day at the drilling bit seem as tho my little boy will be waking up in 5 hours ;)

Cubbys mods all round for my cougar come tomorrow - which at the mo has a broken Z axis pot.... so actually looking forward to using the throttle for collective / throttle rather than the RNG dial ! Hall sensors all round Throttle static mod New screws to stop the slight wobble and some CH pedals thrown in for good measure ;) Hopefully it will be a new experience.... will report back when fitted and flown.... Not happy at UK customs adding £30 for the parts from America though ! How do they charge for a part some bloke made for a joystick !

yeah I found this a little while back... apparently they are suffering hosting problems so foxy is hosting it for a while - but the forums are still down... I read that over at SimHQ but good link at least you got Cougar info still.

That's it etherealn... I forgot the correct name for it. For example I was making a little movie using the outside view but I wanted to see the inputs (red square) as well. Just wondering if its possible?

Have decided (mainly due to a broken pot in my throttle) That I'm modding my cougar. It was a toss up between hall sensors and the fssb mod. Cost wise was a no brainer so I've gone for cubpilots mods.... Gulp. Stick and throttle kit... Hall sensors all round ... Throttle anti sticktion mod... And new screw kit to stop the rattle. Hope I've done the right thing... Anybody got these mods and care to give me there opinion.

I'm sad I like to watch the tracks that are included with lock on and black shark... I also love the movies made. Awesome stuff! Is there some good track files I can download somewhere... And why don't ed release a couple of new tracks with a patch? I know its not the most important thing... But the great hangar track is great pre patch and then after patch the helicopter crashes in the hangar.... Maybe people could make some new ones to download from ed website? I love to show it off to friends and family!

ok just had anoter look via foxy joystick analyser.... the z axis is at 50% at start... move throttle .. nothing happens.... turn RNG dial... Z axis jumps up to 57% then stays...... and dont move either up or down again. screwdriver time then.

well yeah I liked the look of the Logitech ... but once you have metal... hard to go back. Ive had CH stuff - really good but my (small) hands seem to fit the Cougar better... Is there anything I can do to the throttle do you think while waiting to hear from Thrustmaster - Ive heard the pots need `cleaning` sometimes... but with Cougar World down I can get any info. The Z axis after plugging in slowly moves down from top (in the viewer) - to I gues 43% and then stays....

I did reflash it. It is on auto calibration so I did try manual.... Got to the push throttle and nothing registers so won't let me calibrate it. Yeah I'm interested in the mods - was going to wait on the new thrustmaster a10 stick though - price wise to see what that is all about... Or maybe the new saitek... Or maybe just get all mods for the cougar... Decisions decisions.... Just gutted cos I'm really getting into dcs and have been using the RGE for collective and would prefer using the throttle... Feels better. Maybe thrustmaster may send me a pot or a part?!? Will see. Thanks again.
