  1. OK I'm confused by this item. There are 2 positions 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock. What positions should these be in for:- Taxi Take off Landing TIA
  2. I do roughly the same as MontyPython. Only I use the Mission planner to set up my information (more in the spirit of things imho). I created a simple chart in Calc (Xcel) which I fill in the details and have on my other screen. Of course ruling one up on some lined/graph paper would do just as well. P.s Using this sort of method ignore the yellow line on the KPP.
  3. I've seen there are a couple of scripts to run GCI for AI and Players which use MIST. Is there a way to do a GCI "easily" for humans only in a SP or COOP environment?. Preferably not using MIST, not because i have any problem with it but because I'm a (DCS) scripting noob and I don't understand how mist works yet. Also is it possible to have a CA player running GCI for Other players in a COOP mission?.
  4. Thanks for the input guys. How about with PRMG landings which is what i'm currently working on?.
  5. Nice landing. Do you have speed brakes deployed?.
  6. I've been going through the tutorials and making headway. I would be grateful for some pointers for best landing practices. Currently I'm finding there is just so much to do that my landings are at best "messy". I mean I'm getting it down and mostly in one piece. One of the big problems i seem to have is losing enough speed to land and yet maintaining enough for the glide path. while I'm fighting with this I'm tending to come in too low. One of the worst bits is the complete lack of forward (runway) visibility also, it seems that at the 350kph landing speed the AoA is such that even craning over the nose I can't see the deck. A small gripe is the NPP? adjustment dial which seems to have too much movement. When i try and use the mouse to adjust it there comes a point where the pointer is too far away and seems to go in the opposite direction.
  7. Thank you for the additional info.
  8. Thank you!
  9. Hi, The manual is a little vague on the whole fuel management system. Unless there is another section that i simply haven't found yet. I have a few questions for those who know this aircraft. 1. If i start a mission with the aircraft on the runway already started up and i have external fuel tanks how is the fuel system configured?. That is is it automatically using the external tanks first or is it using all tanks and I have to configure it to only use external tanks?. 2. If I have to manually set up the flow from external tanks first how and where is this done?. 3. If I have to engage enemy (and drop tanks ) before the external tanks are empty do I have to manually adjust the remaining fuel on the fuel dial?. If this is the case and it is using all tanks how do I know what the remaining fuel level is?. TIA
  10. Thanks for the replies. I think I've got the missiles worked out. My post was as much feedback for the devs as anything else. I followed the instructions given and came to grief. It seems worse if you restart the mission for some reason. I also had an inexplicable flame out one time i tried it.
  11. Hi, I'm trying to learn the Mig 21 and have been trying to go through the tutorials. In the AA missiles tutorials I follow the instructions, Set the SAU to Recovery, Set throttle to around 80%. But by about the time I get to the F-5 drone it flies me into the ground. Its like i'm constantly losing height while i'm busy following the instructions. Secondly the part about the switches goes on for too long and by the time it tells me there are friendly aircraft in front of me to try locking them up they are long past. Especially since the switches in question are already set in the tutorial.
  12. Is there a way to zoom in and out in the mission editor without a mouse wheel?. I use trackball only which does not have a mouse wheel.
