Now there is an oxymoron.
-
My Screenshot My Favourite module the MiG-21. High altitude early morning ferry flight over the Caucasus mountains.

Narrowed it down. Its not the briefing window itself. The problem stems from the Choice of Coalition window. You can get to it by selecting back twice from the briefing window. Regardless of whether you choose cancel or Whether you select a side and continue through the bug will appear.
-
OK here is a quick mission to show the problem. I have gone back and checked with other missions and it seems to happen on all. It also happens if you call up the briefing window with Lalt-B. Note it does not happen if you click on the fly button in the briefing window. It only happens if you click the Back option then keep choosing the back and cancel options. Maybe doing that unassigns you from a team and then the disappearing Icons would be correct. The bit that would be wrong would be the floating health bars. Bug_Demonstration_Briefing_Window.miz

Its a stock mission.
-
As specified it happens with the first mission in the A10c Georgian hammer campaign(with CA). I believe it will happen with any mission.
-
OK I can confirm this happens with stock mission. Using Fog of War map icons Start the A10c Campaign Georgian hammer with CA. Go to F10 view and zoom out till you can see the ground forces. Press escape and call up the briefing window. Back out using back and cancel for all the prompts. The Icons will have disappeared and the issues i listed in the first post are evident.

I will try and narrow this down more. Not sure exactly which sub forum this belongs in. I have had this happen twice now. I'm playing the KA-50 Georgian hammer campaign which i have edited to allow CA (by enabling the Pilot can control ground units in each mission). I have the map icons set to Fog of War. It seems that if you are on the map view ( or if you go to the map view after) and you open up the mission briefing, using the escape menu, When you return to the map:- Unit Icons have disappeared The floating health bar is still visible However the floating health bar remains stationary on the map view if you move the map. Keys such as F1, F2, F7 etc which control the view of units stops working. F12 still works. Restarting the mission clears up the problem but I have not found any other way that will. I believe I may have also seen this behavior with the Mission score window too but I may have also used the briefing that time.

Well also DCS represents a very empty world. In the real aircraft you would be mostly controlled from the ground. GCI, ATC etc, While there are some scripts to simulate parts of this it is not a dynamic living environment.

I'm getting flickering in the TGP which seems to keep changing / confusing the Depth sorting. Anyone else seeing this?.

Key assignments Not being saved correctly
TJTAS replied to TJTAS's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
I think I see what the problem is. It has only saved the settings for the last aircraft I was editing. Is this a new paradigm for control assignment?. If so it is a really bad idea. In DSCW (pre 1.5) you could save all of your settings to a single file (which covered every aircraft). Unless this is a bug it is now only saving a single aircraft to the .lua file when you save. -
Just spent an hour or more assigning keys, buttons and axis for 5 different aircraft, saving the profile periodically. Now when I try and load the profile I'm getting erratic results. None of my keys seem to have saved and the Axis seem to change when I load it. For example I had on the SU-25 the Shkval slew set to my Hotas X and Y axis and had tuned them. When I first load the profile they are still right but the keys have all disappeared. When I tried to reload the profile it changed to Hotas x and Y to Flight control.

Any update on the template?.
-
Nice one!!. Thanks... Bought!!.
-
Bits of towns and cities are also missing in the Sat view.
-
Cool thanks. The main thing is we won't have to wait till 2.0!!.
-
Are we going to get the long awaited Mig-21 Template with DCSW 1.5 or will we have to wait for 2.0?.

Realistic theaters Personally i'd like to see theaters where this sort of equipment has really been used. So Apart from Korea and Vietnam that leaves the Middle east, Israel, Angola, North Africa etc.

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
TJTAS replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I'd prefer a phantom. -
Well I apologize then. I don't know whether the manual I have is a different version though because there is no section dealing with this lever in the one I have. The only mention of it in the entire thing is the Key to the forward panel where it is item 97. I have not only manually searched but also used the find in document neither of which yielded any further results. I have done the tutorial but it didn't mention setting the lever back to the 9 o'clock position for take off and landing. This was the gist of my question.
-
Well I searched the manual before I asked. Apart from the label in the cockpit instruments Section which simply says "Nosegear brake lever" it is not mentioned. Thanks for the helpful responses from other people though.

Doh... just a brain fart on my behalf... Thank you
