perfect trim is not reachable.... Also when you change speed..the speed itself becomes a factor. So what I do is: make an ok trim and fly from there and compensate for it. (edit) have at least 10 hours of flight time before you attempt refuelling, by that time you should be comfortable with the plane and how it moves. Il2 is a very good teacher on flying :)

Would you prefer DCS A-10 over Black Shark?
macedk replied to starkey817's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
a-10 here due to being an old falconeer and il2 pilot. But make no mistake bs is good and liked it alot :) -

Building new PC - need advice

intel , plenty of ram , at least an ati 5850 or nvidia same, well known mortherboard, ssd or normal hd not as important. why not amd...you will need to go into over-clocking(not game friendly) safe intel yes..more money..yes but less hassle and less things to go wrong. money issue..safe up and wait...it will benefit you in the long run. if you spend 700$ and it doesn't work..ouch not a happy camper...spend 850$ and be happy..then its the best 150$ you have ever spend :) just my opinion and my xp on this stuff take it or leave it you choice :) -
in bs yes ...in a-10 no

there is no pilot in cockpit atm asfaik.

lshift - lwin keys together = active pause. this means you can push buttons but the sim/game dosn't move. A good combo for a beginner, so you have time to look around and get ok with all the nice buttons and systems. ideally ..get a hotas, I know its expensive but it will enhance the game to a level you never dreamt of :)

Using the HSI/TACAN for traffic pattern -- Tutorial
macedk replied to BBQ's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Good vid :) When you start to understand this system then you can play around with lesser sharp turns(in case for a formation landing :)) And the airport charts starts to make more sense :) In combat use this for lining up on a columns :) -
I guess that it will be like the normal online version. U will have both options.

hi all :) its from the civic field on malta but there are some military coms sometimes :) happy listening :) http://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=lmml

elaborate on my wiki thought: look under L: and you click or search for your relevant stuff (ex Landing gear) I search the pdf docs alot for keywords. Yes some keywords are too broad and it comes down to what is in it as far as tagwords(also the search function itself....Google is mindblowing on this.) Reason for the wiki instead of a forum imo: Search a forum for tag words, you get the whole chebang..and its hard to narrow down. For the really new guys...i mean REALLY new guys...get on voice with a sqn or a mate and learn the ropes....(thats how i learned it many years ago ;)) Mulitiplayer will teach you the mojo ;) Many pilots are the kings of SP but novice in MP ;) Conflicts: (on the forum) Many times I have made or seen that a game issue is actually a computer knowledge question. Install issue or tampering with cfg files or heavy overclock. "it works with all my other games ?" just doesn't fly in my book. Pc is smashing a glass and putting it back together depending on the game, hardware, moon rotaion:cry:.....(that is why pc is dying) nvidia or ati...trying to do the same stuff and the dev's can't really make them both show the same...real shame since everybody wants the same thing...why have a million ways of getting over the water...;) Back on track: 1. want information 2. easy and to the point access to the information. 3. A Manual serves this purpose.. 4. Humans ask questions instead of searching first..(personally a victim of this and it feels allot easier to ask the guy who has read the manual or done the deed and so on. But the reader gets pi¤%//& off...cause he feels he is doing the work for ya! (real life ring a mark-84 bell :)) 5. Google has made a quest out of accepting this condition and are winning. 6. how to combat or re-leaf this issue.....make a good search engine...or change human behaviour(good luck ;)) 7. the google way of doing it(my guess) is to combine stats with the search word and keeping track of your behaviour. end note: make it like a real life business or like the military do it. 1. there is one way of doing it...LEARN IT :) ps. is it the best way ....no not always but it works so...learn it and deal with it :). phewww P EA C E ;)
