  1. "Wags" stated that anything after Black Shark is still up in the air. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?p=165091#post165091
  2. Ah, good evening Frieeeends.

  4. No. Who was posting to You, not Me.
  5. Well, at least they finally implemented shadows from the rotor blades.
  6. Keep up the good work SwingKid! This program seems very promising...
  7. User mods like this are not possible due to the source code being closed to the public.
  8. Yeah. Hopefully, squadron members who are concerned with raising the player count of thier servers make it known that they feel Ubi would be a good source to tap into.
  9. That's the first I've ever heard about the F15 being able to do this with a full fuel load...Got a source by any chance? The manufacturer doesn't mention fuel state for an accelerated climb, nor do they mention to what altitude. http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/military/f15/ I always understood that the 1:1 weight ratio didn't include maximum fuel as part of the equation. I just did a very quick check. The F-15 in lockon does accelerate in a climb. At 20 percent fuel load, starting from 50 ft at 450 kts (pulling max G to 90 degrees) I accelerated in the climb until I reached 6000 feet. You cannot use the HUD or mach meter for your readings. The HUD shows Calibrated Airspeed. You must use the oustside view to get the TAS (True Airspeed). NOTE: I fly 1.02, so results from 1.12a would be interesting to see...
  10. Welcome to the boards Mississippi. Cheers.
  11. Dang. looks sweet.
  12. We have sea-bass, Sir.
  13. Ehemm..*clears throat* Umm, doctor Evil, It's about the Blacksharks. Since you were frozen, they've been placed on the endangered species list. We tried to get some, but it will take months to clear up the red tape.
  14. I like the first shot. MSFS clouds, to me, always looked a bit cartoonish. I'm confident with the newest version of DirectX, we'll start seeing clouds like you have in the first shot in the next few years.
  15. More awesome and exciting information in this thread. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=14831
  16. Hi Rhen, Any maintainer worth his salt will agree; he'll/she'll want the planes to fly. If the planes sit too long, they bug up. We hated to lose our birds to depot because of this. But, it's true that some pilots have a tendancy to break the plane. I scheduled maintenance for 8 years, and worked debrief for 6. What kinda bird ya fly IRL? Are you still flying F-15's? In the 15, does the "emerg jett" button dump everything loaded to the jet, or just bags?
  17. Yes. There will be a sim named Black Shark in the future.
  18. That's absoloutely right. When I was working A-10's, we had this one pilot who always brought his plane back code 3 for something. Even other pilots said he was a lousy stick. Maintenance flat-out hated him. However, this pilot's mission effectiveness rate was still within standards.
  19. G1. hehhehe. On a serious note. "Lose sight, lose the fight" applies to SAM's, as well. The pilot's account illustrates that he hadn't taken his eyes off the SAM's throughout the engagement. Things may have turned out differently if he had.
  20. No need for insults. Anyway, you stated that the pilot survived by pure luck. This is wrong. He was manuevering from the start to avoid the SAM: http://www.codeonemagazine.com/archives/1999/articles/oct_99/oct3_p.html The pilot NEEDED to light the burner and dive toward the AAA to escape the first SAM. The fact that the pilot realizes, after the missile threat is eliminated, that the burners are still lit, illustrates the very point you were arguing against. A real pilot does what he needs to by instinct (stem power). Bonus points: If you can tell me what "Code One" means (as it relates to aircraft), I won't think you are totally clueless...
