Hi, there must be a simple answer to this. I want to soften / turn down the volume of the 'Beep' when Autopilot is selected. It appears that the main Audio control settings do not make a jot of difference to this. Any ideas? :music_whistling:

That is interesting.....because as much as I can recall, all the military aircraft I've worked on store the pressure after shutdown until it's bled off via moving flight controls. Pity ED are not taking your advice though Paul, as if anyone should know, it would be you. It does make me wonder where it goes though.....maybe a valve opens when it detects a drop in pressure as the EDP (hyd pump) starts to slow up :dontgetit:

Hi, *Select NWS *Use whatever keys are mapped to your Rudder (left and right) to steer the aircraft during taxy, and Take Off run.......but DESELECT NWS at around 60 knts IAS, enabling you to make directional alteration using only the Rudder for the final part of your Take Off procedure. Using the nose wheel above this kind of speed is too severe, and only using rudder will give you a smoother directional adjustment.

Sounds like nothing else for it. Drag it in the shed and do a starboard engine change....lol (couldn't resist)

Ok, ...The APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is a separate small gas turbine, that drives it's own generator, and produces compressed air (Bleed Air) The Engines (Two of) need Bleed Air (to rotate them during start), and generated power (to power the ignitors (through HEIU's), and also for the fuel pumps etc) to ignite the fuel. Once the engine(s) are idling are all settled, then you can select the Engine Generators to on.....thereby negating the need for the APU Generator, or Ground Power. You STILL need APU bleed Air to start the second engine. So, to start the main engines, you need the APU running for your Bleed Air, and you need a source of Electric Power (APU Generator OR Ground Power unit)...no need for both, but you definatly need ONE of them. If using Ground Power (generally used for a prolonged period of the Aircraft sitting on the ground)....then you need to remember to ask for it to be disconnected before taxiing.....otherwise you are trying to drag a big piece of ground equipment down the taxi way.....connected by a big power cable to your Aircraft.....hence the groundcrew asking "Hey....what are you doing?"

Thank you Ishtmail for your quick response, and your apparently straight forward instructions. Much appreciated.

Thanks Cowboy, but I don't quite understand. I can place the screens where I want via the VC Server - tools - display Config.....and save it all..but I don't want them on the main monitor screen.....I want them on the iPad. What do you mean by 'Choose the new screen res in config inside DCS World'? also, I assume that I am correct to select 'VC Server as my 'Monitor' in 'Options' in DCS World. Thanks for patience in any answer!

Hi all, Just got an ipad and had to get this app (Full). Got it working, but can only get it to display the radio's, Tacan, ILS etc. Is there a simple guide to getting it to show the MFD's and UFC. Do i need to set up a virtual monitor? (info;....I am running on a single monitor, with the sim) I like what I've got....I just need to know how to expand to get the MFD's and UFC. Any help appreciated!

Throttle not working when Cold & Dark.
Comrade Vodka replied to flyinghigh's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Well, if you are not flying with 'HOTAS' set up, then you would obviously want it to be 'unchecked'. Anyway, glad you got it sorted. -
How is the multiplayer experiance for beginners?
Comrade Vodka replied to Burrem's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
he he he!.....made me laugh too :megalol:, but seriously, there are loads of good guys and good groups with patience to teach and help, so my advice, get learning and practicing with the basics...starting procedure, Taxying, Take Off, basic Navigation.....and Landing. Get them sorted out, and then apply to join a Squadron / Group to further your training / experience. On a final note....remember that there is 'No Final Goal'....because you never know everything, and you never stop learning! :book: -
Keyboard + Joystick show up in control, but dont work in game

Thanks for suggestions. Cichlidfan;...tried what you suggested....no luck. Yurgon;... more info below. I want to run the 'Sim' as opposed to 'game mode'. I click on 'Ka 50 Sim', in the controls tab, and all controls on joystick / throttle and keyboard appear to be selected. How do I save it to use the 'Sim' option in controls....because every time I exit controls in options....and return to it, I find 'Free Camera' is always selected by default. Could this be the problem? Any help from anybody welcome.

Hi All, This is a copy and re listing of a previous users problem that has not had a reasonable explanation, or been resolved to my knowledge. The scenario I have is as follows...(and it's driving me crazy....:helpsmilie:) I startup BS2 and go to the controls and can see that my WH Hotas (throttle & joystick) are mapped by default, and my keyboard works fine in selecting or modifying controls. also pressing any bitton on Hotas, and the selected function gets highlighted in the controls list...all good so far, However, when I start the game, load a cold start for example, after getting past the pause/break screen, my keyboard and joystick and TrackIR have no function. The Shark just sits there on the runway, all rotors turning and powered up, sounds all good, but the only function I have available is the esc button on my keyboard that allows me to leave the game. My mouse works, and I can do everything with that, (switches etc) but no input commands works from my keyboard or joystick or TrackIR. I am thinking this is something stupid that I forgot....any pointers? I have reinstalled BS and BS2. It was working fine before....

Keyboard + Joystick show up in control, but dont work in game
Comrade Vodka replied to SpyderPB6's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have exactly the same fault / problem Spyder. I know it was a while ago, but did you shed any light on this?....I have uninstalled, re installed a few times now...problem persists. Any help from anyone would be appreciated. -
Hi, Having just got up and running on TS3, I can easily connect to the servers running a TS3 server when they give the address in digital format (eg, xx.xxx.xxx.xx:9999), but often there is a TS3 server stated, but giving a name. My question is how do I connect to that? I have tried the 'run servers' option in TS3, and searched......but no server comes up on the list. I'm sure I'm just missing a trick here, but can't think what. Thanks for any help given.

I wouldn't mind a bit of MP with you on a server. Have you got Teamspeak 3 sorted out? Let me know if you want to fly with me. I'm no expert, but have a good hang of this ....What time zone you on?
