  1. What's the best way to backup my install folder so I don't have to download every module again?
  2. Bethesda recently announced an exclusivity deal with AMD for Starfall FSR support. Famous modder of Bethesda games said that within the window of the upcoming Starfall 5 day Early Access / Beta, he will code and implement DLSS3 and then add DLSS2 as well. Why doesn't ED implement this for DCS as soon as possible? Say DLSS makes it possible for 3000 new users to run DCS. Say half of them buy a $69 module. Say half of those end up buying two modules. Thats serious bank. Why not implement DLSS?
  3. Getting Auth failure on F/A-18C Georgian War campaign SU-33 from flaming cliffs.
  4. Is this something ED can implement, or at least put it in the bar at the bottom so users can see this number in real time?
  5. No mav crosshair on wpn page thx
  6. bump. I've been using chatgpt to try to do this but have no idea what i'm doing
  7. I am a gamer. I have a bunch of hardware. I have TrackIR, and a full HOTAS with VKB T-Rudder. So, I'm not asking PS5 controller related questions in terms of control mapping. All I'm looking for is a makeshift/cheap way to get the controller to vibrate during helicopter/airplane buffeting. Why: I think 90% of us have an xbox or PS5. I think it's a massive missed opportunity to have rumble features enabled easily, natively, in game, via USB. Yes I know I can buy a soundcard and do all this fancy crap with simshaker and buttkicker etc etc. But I have a PS5 controller RIGHT HERE. It would be very interesting to have the controller on my leg, vibrating and providing feedback with respect to VRS/buffeting while flying. Especially if it was FREE. Then I could decide if I like the idea enough to buy the more advanced gear. Anyone know how to do this?
  8. All the AI are easy as hell, IMO
  9. LOL it doesn't matter... They're easy as hell to beat. All of them.
  10. You should be able to smoke all the AI, as they all suck terribly. If AI is beating you in just about any situation, you have a ton of work to do.
  11. I'm confused why people think this about F16A It had way less power and wasn't *that* much lighter. It was a "pure fighter" not because of its handling characteristics, but because it couldn't really do much else in terms of capability. F16A: 25,281 Combat loaded, 14,670lbs thrust (23,830lbs in AB) F16C/D: 26,463 Combat loaded, 17,155lbs thrust (28,984lbs in AB) C was 1,182lbs heavier, but with 5,154lbs more thrust. More thrust vastly trumps the weight "penalty" (which isn't even that much).
  12. So is sitting in a dark room with a Track IR on your head. "Unrealistic" is such a silly thing to say. IRL, you can SEE aircraft at large distances. In game, you cannot. So the GAME is already "Unrealistic."
  13. JF17 has a live reading of the TRT in the controls indicator. I think this feature should be in place for all modules, in all controls indicators, other than helicopters, I guess. This would be an amazing tool to help newbs when walking them through guns fighting and discussing concepts.
  14. Here is my issue. There is a fine balance between making each module "feel" different, and totally borking these modules. IMO when it comes to helicopters, ED has a bias toward borking. They need to keep in mind that everyone has totally different controls setups **ANYWAY**. We're not **ACTUALLY** in the real aircraft. So making the anti-torque pedals super twitchy might "feel" realistic according to the consultants they hire, with their fancy $600 pedals, but for someone else they might be totally bonkers. Ultimately, they need to offer vastly more options in terms of tunability for controls in helicopters, accounting for the fact that everyone here has different setups that are vastly different from the controls in the actual machines. We're talking different fulcrum points on sticks and pedals etc. Physically. Curves are jacked because if you lower the saturation and maintain a flat curve, you lose yaw authority at the extreme ends of travel. That the huey/mi8 aren't twitchy AS HELL. At least make the user curve follow the "new, trimmed center" position of the rudder.
