So in a track you can take over, right? I hope you figure it out. I spend all day yesterday messing with it. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Probably something stupid on my part. This is the trouble with DCS though. It's so complex that when something is going wrong, you don't know if it's you working the aircraft wrong, or a bug in the simulation. Very annoying.

Please someoneeeeee. I know it's just something stupid I'm not doing or something. I want to enjoy my moduleeeee.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. When I input the WP I make the "elevation" the ground level as stated by the F10 map. Is that the issue? I just figured it would figure out [GNDLVL + BURST HEIGHT] on its own? Also, this is happening sometimes when I designate the target via TPOD as well, which I think would eliminate this variable.

It's decelerating and FALLING. A lot of that velocity is in the vertical vector.

I'm also unclear about the difference between PP and TOO. I can't figure it out really.

EFUZE I'm taking precise coords from F10 map, I put them into WP1 on my HSI DATA page. I go to JSOW DISPY and then MSN and then hit WPDSG I see the coords in MSN. JSOW flies over the target and doesn't deploy sub munitions. Sometimes it will hit but I feel like when they hit, I'm doing something differently. There are too many variables and I can't keep them straight. Am I a total idiot or is this a bug?

My old man is a helicopter pilot. Sikorsky S92, and before that S61 and CH-113 Labrador before that (CH-46 Sea Knight). Depending on the model and the autopilot/SAS systems on board a given model of machine, he's relayed that pilots take their feet off the pedals regularly. Mi-8 doesn't need the pilot to sit in the seat, why wouldn't pilots take their feet off the pedals? Regardless, why not just make the system work as it should and as it can, but having the system grab whatever the heading is on activation, and then a 500ms period where USB rudder pedals are deactivated so user can return to center? You should be able to turn the yaw channel on in whatever rudder position you like, not just centered.

But IRL the switches on the pedals work so you can put yaw channel on in any rudder position.

Very poor implementation. Why not just make engaging the yaw channel grab whatever the current heading is, while rendering movement of the USB rudder pedals ineffective for a moment (say 500ms), to allow the user to return their USB rudder pedals to return to center? I personally think the current implementation of the rudders is the most ridiculous "solution" that could possibly have been devised. The yaw channel is essentially useless except for when you activate it on the ground and in the take-off hover, or when you're set up in level flight.

The pedal switches that detect the pilot's feet on the pedals. Why did they model this? Knowing commercial pedals return to center, the feet-on-pedals nonsense makes the yaw cannel of autopilot very unintuitive. I can only rarely get the yaw channel to work, and when it does I don't really understand why. I am beyond confused. Can someone explain how to use the yaw channel? Every time I move my feet a millimeter it screws it all up.

Genuine question. If an F16 pilot gets a call to go to "Place X" for some emergency CAS, does he whip out a map and look up lat/long, and then punch those numbers into his UFC and generate a steer point? I literally don't know so I'm asking. Seems to me "oh that's down by such and such VOR" and then tuning a Freq is easier. Honest question.

I know how to use Tacan... But is there a way to use the NDB's scattered throughout the map? Would be very handy. Thank you!

Antenna elevation bugged RN? Hey trying to move antenna elevation but my cursor altitudes don't change on the FCR screen?

I don't run VR. I run DelanClip. Open Beta. I usually run 120 FPS+ in all conditions. Lately I'm noticing my frames stuck at 45, and then every second that goes by, I lose 1 frame. I watch my frame counter go down to 44, 43, all the way down to 16 frames a second. Of course, this happens when I'm on approach. I'm trying to fly like this for 3-5 minutes. Giving myself a massive headache. Then poof! 100 frames a second. For about 1 minutes and then 99. 97. 93. All the way back down to 17. What's going on inside the soup sandwich that is DCS code? I feel like DCS is "that close" to being a good experience over all, but crushes my hopes and dreams. I get home, PUMPED to fly... Excited. I literally jog over to my computer. And then it's always something. Why!??!?!!?!!

I'm having an intermittent issue where I cannot aim the flexi site. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. One time, I closed and restarted DCS and I could move the flexi sight again, I have no idea if this is a bug or if I'm messing something up. Anyone have any ideas?

Can anyone tell me what exactly is happening when I am pounding on TMS UP and I'm unable to lock a bogey in the F16? He's right there on the scope, but I cannot lock him. What's going on? Also, second but related issue, what's going on when there's a bogey 20NM out, I know he's there on F10 map. I know he's within the elevation range and azimuth of my current RWS settings, but I cannot pick him up on radar. If I could get these two issues figured out, I would feel a million times better about playing DCS.

Kinda thinking the same thing. I enjoy the jets so much, and have kinda been like "meh" with the warbirds. But I'm thinking that might change...

Stupid question but how to I access the free trial modules? I go into the modules manager and don't see anything?

Looking to make some edits to the auto start file. Anyone know where it is and what it's called? Not Macro-sequences like the other files for other modules....

I get that this is a sim.... But I mean... Would it kill the sim to have the option to have the wait time skipped?

Couldn't put my gear down the other night. I don't really know why this happened, although I think I might have oversped my gear before I put it up on takeoff.
