  1. When you get the Su-30 to fly backwards in controlled flight, let me know. :) Just ff to 0:50...but you shouldnt because the rest is just awesome.
  2. Well theres always this...
  3. Armed is armed. Doesnt matter if its carry and concealed, or open carry.
  4. The F-35 is now armed. http://www.businessinsider.com/bi-f-35-external-weapons-test-2012-2
  5. In the meantime, the Air Force just pretty much put the A-10 on the chopping block. http://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2012/01/airforce-5-a10-squadrons-cut-013012/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Also, no more A-10 units in Europe after next year. http://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2012/02/air-force-europe-cuts-a10-021612w/
  6. I think he should move to Ethiopia. Those guys. Those guys have it easy over there, man...better yet, Mexico! I hear Chihuahua and Tijuana are the new "hotspots" in the country. Take a stroll on down to El Paso.
  7. Thats a mans rifle. If only I had 12,000 bucks.......
  8. Aircraft werent meant to sit. Wings would sag, landing gears would start collapsing, the fuel bladders would start to dry rot....etc etc.
  9. My butt still hurts....
  10. Ur jus jealous cuz i got mad leet skillz, y0. U make air combat gay by chasing other guys tails and shooting them in the ass.
  11. A financial partner businesswise, otherwise they dont have hands on the aircraft technology until their plane rolls off the assembly line. That is the point Im trying to get across. They order 100, but only pay for 2. It sounds suspicious to me, but that is only because we've already had a massive amount of our technology stolen from us this year (stealth heli from bin laden raid, Beast of Kandahar...), and it just wouldnt surprise me to see this technology up for bid on the black market either.
  12. AFAIK, they arent exactly a partner. If they do ANYTHING, they may build some bits and pieces of their aircraft in their assembly lines. It sounds suspicious to me that they would order just 2 aircraft. Its a similiar situation when Russia denied China the ability to purchase 2 (and ONLY 2) Su-30MKs, because they have stolen technology that way. Face it..the F-35 has technology everyone wants. Whos to say that those planes may "acquire hardware failure during flight tests and crashed" and vanish into someones greedy little hands?
  13. I think Turkey plans on pulling a chinese blueprint...thats just my gut speaking though.
  14. Yes we can...do you realize that it costs more to keep an airframe current than it does to build a new aircraft? Give you an example: Boeings 747-800 has well over 500 miles of cables, wire, and electronics equipment that literally would cost more to replace than it would just to build a new aircraft...because in order to replace ALL of that copper, you have to dismantle the entire aircraft and then rebuild it. And while you are at it, you might as well do some NDI on the fuselage, ribs, skin panels, etc.... A nice, new, shiny 60 million dollar plane is a discount, when you compare it to the 75 million you spend on an F-15E refurb.
  15. How do you know, Cali? I might be a leet Lockheed test pilot now! Ive moved down in the world. Could happen.................
  16. Yes because it it only the US taxpayers who are bearing the brunt of R&D for the F-35...even though Israel, Canada, Britain, Japan, and a few other countries have already placed orders for it. No, every country NOT the US gets free F-35s. Seriously, if you people are going to bring retarded economics into the discussion, then have the common courtesy to say duh to give the rest of us who have a clue an insight as to how much you really know.
  17. Starscream turned into Unicrons bitch.
  18. So did I....guess CNN CAN get it all wrong.
  19. FWIW every new airframe that comes out nowadays is going to cost upwards of a trillion dollars in research and development. You can take into example of Boeings 787, Airbus' A380, A400M, and Boeings C17 program. The F-35 is a high technology experimental production aircraft, so you SHOULD expect it to cost a ton of money. If you take into account of inflation, the most expensive R&D program at any given time would probably be the B-2 or the B-1 projects.
