  1. The poll keeps changing every week. The OP cant decide whether or not each aircraft is viable, even though the superbug seems to be the popular vote. Civilians cant even cross the barriers to touch it, why would anyone think it will be declassified for a flight sim?
  2. Im glad you have real experience on both airframes. Im sure you are a fantastic pilot n shit. And just because YOU dont want an F-16 sim, doesnt mean that Microprose' F-16 simulation title isnt still the standard industry after over a decade, and nobody else wants it. Personally, I think Call of Duty fits your style better. Your crybaby antics practically deserve each other. :pilotfly:
  3. Thank god your opinion is just one voice. Everyone here is crying out for an F-15E simulation. What kind of fun is that? Its a flying pig, and the A-10 does a better job at it than the E-turkey does. Oh...and the F-16 (the most technologically advanced 4th gen fighter in the world, btw...) isnt going away any time soon. Hate to burst your bubble.
  4. There is a portion of the video that shows the F-22 mounted on pedestals for testing. I learned today that this is how they check the RCS of the aircraft, and they test each aircraft before it ships. Not a single one has failed in the last 100 ships.
  5. The last F-22 rolls out of the assembly line this coming tuesday. I hope to god Im not stuck in court all that day....
  6. They should replace everything outright anyways. Thats 800 bucks almost worth of parts they destroyed by their overclocking. Unless you signed some sort of waiver stating you wont hold them liable for overclocking it, theres no way in hell they cant be held liable for this. Even the waiver can be argued against in court.
  7. Their posession, they broke it, they bought it. I would sue.
  8. I also heard the US Marine Corps is interested in buying some F-22s as well. Would be interesting to see some F-22 naval variants out floating around...
  9. They grounded the F-22 for an oxygen bottle failure, which was only replicated in one specific hangar in Alaska. The other grounding was the F-35 fleet earlier this year with problems stemming from the onboard generators. The F-35B was delayed for a few months earlier this year while we figured out how to solve the cracking issue with the engine cover located behind the cockpit.. But as far as taking any particular aircraft out of service due to issues with the airframes is ridiculous. Out of all the people here, I at the very least would know. By the way, we now have 2 F-22's left on the final assembly line. If I remember right, the last one is due to be delivered before March.
  10. Oh Im sure it wound up at the bottom of the mountain with someone still attached. But think of the "Awesome factor"...how many ppl you know have an ejection seat that was only used once? :music_whistling:
  11. Just throwing this out there... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vint-McDonnell-Douglas-Escapac-IE-9-A-10-Thunderbolt-Warthog-Ejection-Seat-ASIS-/220858318939?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336c2e805b
  12. The robbery to end all robberies!
  13. America, F*(K YEAH!
  14. Thanks. :)
  15. Too many upgrades to choose from. If ED is building an F-16 sim, Id care to wager it will be the F-16 Blk 50+ with CCIP upgrade, WAR HUD, large mouth intake and the upgraded GE101s. Personally, Id rather take an F/A-18C, so that way you have the added option for naval warfare.
  16. ACTUALLY...FSX has more followers than X Plane 9...but what do I know? Its not like I dont have them both either. Point is, me pointing out facts does not constitute cheerleading. You dont like it? Write your congresswoman. Thanks.
  17. You can do that with FSX. Problem with that is that you need a Flight School instructor to record your log, and its only good for ground instructions. It applies to both FSX and X Plane.
  18. Yeah whatever. Im still waiting on Mortal Kombat Fight Simulator 2013 with Advanced Fight Modelling and realistic nunchaku. The character models will be so accurate, Liu Kangs penis will look like a giant mushroom with a smurf living in it.
  19. X-Plane 9 is a joke when it comes to flight modelling. Its no longer the vaunted sim it used to be...and honestly I can say its not really any better than FSX.
  20. With all of the addons, its the most realistic simulator I can pop in on...I dont care if the planes dont really fly like that IRL...beats paying 150 an hour renting a cessna.
  21. If you love to fly, flying is all that matters...you bloodthirsty combat pilot maniac. :D
  22. You can uhh...always hop into FSX and actually fly without the urge to go blow stuff up, you know...:music_whistling:
