  1. Everythings up to date...brand new computer, brand new software, separated partition on an SSD drive with a fresh install. That pic was before any adjustments were made to my settings. Changing them stayed the same.
  2. Ok, will give it a shot when I get off work tonight. I played around with the settings today, but I havent fired up any dcs stuff yet.
  3. Dont have trackir installed.
  4. Fresh install. DX is updated. Dont know what to change in the graphics config, and Im pretty sure that bug doesnt exist in A-10C.
  5. I usually just leave my visual settings alone in CCC, so they are at the default settings. In game graphics are set at high with medium terrain distance (not relevant), all shadows in high. Screen resolution is 16.9 or whatever. Usually it was an aspect ratio problem in FC, but it just looks like a shader problem to me. Like I said, the problem goes away when I zoom in.
  6. Ahh...and to think that the screenshot folder in the dcs directory would be good enough. Anyways....
  7. I can see through my wings, when I zoom in, they revert to normal. Id post a screenshot, but I cant locate that folder either. Umm...what settings do I mess with to correct this? I take it back...I cant save a screenshot either. Just a laptop, HP Pavilion DV7 on a ssd drive and radeon 6880.
  8. They said de-icing the aircraft incorrectly was at fault. Dont know how hard it is to de-ice an aircraft, you just spray ethylene glycol all over the plane.
  9. Nah, not mad. More like exasperated at people who claim one thing based on the last page of a thread. Ignorance is bliss, right?
  10. Obviously, since hes the only one who asked why there were no russian aircraft to fly. Amazing deduction there, Watson. Take a closer look at the other 252 pages.
  11. I seriously hope it wasnt one of the aircraft I worked on...they only had 4, and they rolled out these 2 about 6 months after I started working here. I took this picture the day they were handed over to the Norwegians, and I even shook the hands of the crew who took posession of them.
  12. I guess it was a good thing McDonnell Douglas wasnt bought out by Boeing. Ohwait...
  13. F-15s are gay. Anything the air force flies is gay. Anything made by Boeing is boring. Anything anyone flies is gay. The super hornet is super awesome and smites all...even god himself cuz thats how boeing rolls. Oh yeah...they are both made by the same manufacturer, arent they. Strike 2 for Boring. Lets all remember that this once was a thing.
  14. 83 million a piece? I would double that...
  15. I hope not...the iraq/afghanistan wars have seemed to me so boring.
  16. Yes, because anti-shipping, CAS, SEAD, A2A, escort, and everything in between is just boring. Why not do an F-15E instead? Oh yeah...same thing. F-16? Same thing. F-35? Same thing. F-14? Same thing...except more aircraft falling apart for no reason other than its an F-14. So lets make them do an Su-33! Oh yeah....same thing. How about a B-1R study sim instead? Its relatively the same thing, but hey...4 ppl and more bombs!
  17. Some day, the irish, scots, and british will live peaceful in harmony. Meanwhile, us german peepz are sitting here drinking beer and laughing at all of you. :)
  18. Im not really sure. My best guess is that it cools the avionics bays down (every aircraft has ram air for this). They could also be APU inlets.
  19. Same ppl who designed the emergency oxygen pull handle BEHIND the seat.
  20. Ill admit...some of the engineers here at Lockheed arent the brightest.
  21. The 2 on the wing near the fuselage are ram air intakes. 6 is an APU exhaust vent. 3 would be a fuselage mounted camera.
  22. Im a troll. :music_whistling: You can follow my build here if you want...its boring, so dont say I didnt warn you. http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=239969&st=0 By kevin_utley at 2012-02-26
  23. Thats the only video I know of that shows all of the X-31 capabilities. Theres more on youtube, but like 30 seconds worth of footage that Ive seen.
