  2. Ok, finally, some info, Kula66, I did what you said, funny thing is, my blue screen finally showed the info. Error: 0x8e driver file: vsdatant.sys I googled it, found out Zone Alarm has some issues with XP (bad hooks or something). So, now I'm looking for an alternate firewall. Kula, or anyone, have any suggestions?

Shepski, this might not be the right CLSID, or it might not be setup correctly, but I did find tags in the xml file that allow for a single CBU-97... <Launcher CLSID="{5335D97A-35A5-4643-9D9B-026C75961E52}" Guided="no" Name="CBU-97" Picture="" Weight="450" WorldID="1"> <Element ShapeName="CBU-97"> <Position X="0" Y="0" Z="0"/> <DrawArg Key="1" Value="1"/> <DrawArg Key="2" Value="1"/> </Element> </Launcher> I attached this CLSID underneath the other bombs in the bomb category yesterday, and, for my plane it works fine, but for AI planes, they don't seem to like using the CBU-97 (could be an incorrect CLSID): <Launcher CLSID="{5335D97A-35A5-4643-9D9B-026C75961E52}">CBU-97</Launcher>

Shepski wrote this with the Loman file: "I did not include CBU-97's to this modification due to the poor model and textures and didn't feel that they fit in with the rest of the highly detailed weapons." IF the CBU-97 were of better quality, wouldn't he have included it? Why even mention the CBU-97 in an A-10 Realism Mod if it has nothing to do with the A-10? My belief is, yes, if they were of better quality, they would be on the A-10. I also trust Shepski and his sources. D-Scythe, you mean "mod", not "cheat", right? I would imagine the word "cheat" would be reserved for more malicious content. But, if you do think this is a cheat, I'll remove those CBU-97s from my single player a-10 missions so it will be fair for those AI tanks. lol Kuosta, if I make a mistake, point it out, ok?
  8. I read a post about Shepski's A-10 realism mod, and IIRC, he said he removed the CBU-97s from the loadout because the models and skins are outdated (they do look awful). I took a look at the skins, increased the resolution, and fixed up the skin so it looks better. I just uploaded the skins to http://www.lomacfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=81&lid=310&title=CBU-97%20Skin%20Fix#dldetails if you would like to check it out. The 450kg cluster bombs work great, and I think they should be a part of the a-10's arsenal since they are "anti tank" bombs. Now, I'm not sure what pylons the CBU-97 can occupy on the A-10. Shepski, or anyone, can you tell us what pylons the CBU-97 can occupy? Thanks!

I'm not sure about how often the server functions are called, but I used GetSnapAngles before and this is how it works: function GetSnapAngles(iPlane, iKey) - called when a player is in snap view and is pressing a keypad button (keypad0 or keypad0 + keypad something) - the key is sent repeatedly while the key is held down, so if you hold keypad0 down for about a second, GetSnapAngles will be called with iKey = 1 (0+1) many times. Also, if you were holding keypad0+keypad6, GetSnapAngles would be called with iKey = 7...
  11. Does anyone else get this? When I try to join Dreyou's server, I usually get a blue screen (the "blue screen of death") when the mission finally loads and at that point my computer locks up. But, very rarely, it works fine, no computer freezing, and this only seems to happen if there's only 1 or 2 players in the game. I only have 512 megs of ram. My harddrive is partitioned, so I have 4096 megs for swap on one drive. Since it looks like Lockon uses the most memory when loading a mission, I tried putting a gig of swap on another drive, but I still get the blue screen. My video card is an ati 9600 (base model). I usually get 20-25 fps on the runway, about 35 - 45 fps everywhere else.
  12. Hmm... I had this problem only in the Mig and even before I had the Lights working in 1.1. So, if you uninstall the mod Ox, does the bug still exist, and in all planes? Maybe my settings found a way into the mod, if it is my settings that cause this bug. I did think I was using a clean view.lua.

  17. Yes, thank you Olgerd. That post that Olgerd replied to should be made a STICKY. I know it's not an official statement, but it's better than no statement at all. Those of us who don't check in here every day might miss a post like that! I know that post gave me some more hope for 1.1.
  18. Can anyone using the CD version confirm whether they have this stuttering problem?
  19. On a better note, using babelfish.altavista.com, I found on the Russian forum, other players are having the same problems with stuttering (and not getting many answers from ED). So, we're not the only ones. I wonder if the CD version of FC has the same stuttering problem.
  20. Since this is the refund thread, what's the policy with refunds? I'm not giving up on Lockon, but it seems the CD version of 1.1 is way more appealing since it might not have this "16 upgrades" issue. I have the downloaded version.
  21. Thanks Slash and GG. Regarding ED and Lockon: As a wise man once said, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I had a huge post written, but I chose to post this message instead. Sigh.
  22. Well, the only proof would be to show the code. Finding this pingperiod problem was a good place to start looking but it's up to ED to actually find the root problem. Unfortunately, ED hasn't said a word about this yet but I see them posting in the payments section. I had faith in 1.1 but I'm starting to doubt if I was right. Imagine all the players who spent countless hours trying to get 1.1 to work online. Lockon is supposed to be enjoyable, but trying to get it to work is FAR from fun.
  23. Yeah, I bought 1.1 quite a while back, but since I had problems with it online and other events happenning, I just put 1.1 away for awhile. I'm having the same problem with stutter, I get about a 20% (5-6) fps drop, and I tested a few things in the network config file. Lawndart is onto something about the pingPeriod. It seems pinging the server causes the fps drop.
