  1. To put it simply you can't. There's no reason for your hesitation though as the starforce DRM is driver less.
  2. You silly Microsoft and Apple noobs. RSTS/E or OpenVMS is gooder. :P
  3. People will pirate software regardless of its DRM status. They will even pirate games that donate all of the income to charity. The current set up ED is using now is the best I've seen, at least your able to get activations back. It may be silly, but it beats not doing anything.
  4. How in the world did you run out of activations already?
  5. 2nd, your profile is awesome Jack.
  6. I prefer the A-10 over the KA-50 for various reasons. Avionics are easier and more extensive, flying it is far easier (never could master the KA50), more weapons, and the GAU-8. Heh, the GAU-8 alone is enough to decide which is better. :P
  7. He would need them to check for Bruce Lee. Chuck Norris doesn't like to be beaten twice.
  8. I just deactivated mine with out any problems. However I have heard of this problem before. Delete the following registry entry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\Warthog\Keys This will cycle the system and should let you proceed.
  9. Cool, I'm on a roll. Does 2 + 2 = 4? :P
  10. Yeah that sounds familiar. I use the protect.exe thing in the bin folder right?
  11. I've read the activation stuff a thousand times, but since I don't use that information constantly I forget it. I'm going to be installing windows 7 soon and I'm wanting to know what I'm supposed to do with A-10C's software key. Do I need to deactivate this thing first? And I assume I'll need to use the same procedure with BlackShark?
  12. This is bad, real bad.
  13. It takes forever to rank up, yet its insanely easy to get all of the medals at once. I already have all of them and just recently I ranked up to First lieutenant.
  14. I don't know, somehow when the first AIM-9 missed my A-10 was in the sights of it. I do remember that when I got a little closer to IL76 I fired the second and as I flew off into the distance, away from the IL76, I got hit. In every case I can think of its impossible, I just wish I had the track.
  15. I don't have it unfortunately. I remember that I had fired one AIM-9 at an IL-76 but it missed. I fired a second and it hit. Shortly there after, I get a big bang. I'm thinking "It was an IL-76 it doesn't have any missiles and it was going down, so the tail gunner can't do anything!" Plus the damage didn't correspond with the tail gunner if he did hit me, it looked like a missile hit. No AAAs, SAMs, MANPADs, or other aircraft. Just me and an IL-76, I was using this mission to try out the AIM-9s. Only way I can figure is that the AIM-9 pitched up and came back down. Or it looped around. It could have been something else, but now I'm a lot more careful with my AIM-9s. :P
  16. I managed to hit myself with my own AIM-9. Still have no idea how it happened.
  17. If you weren't pulling any Gs it looks like a lack of oxygen. Try to reproduce it and double check that your using the oxygen controls correctly. Plus I'd make sure your cockpit canopy was fully down.
  18. So will I have to re-learn some things with this new patch?
  19. You can, the UFC is used for that purpose. You still need to look down enough to see the MFD displaying the CDU pages. Typing words in using the UFC is annoying, its just like texting without a full keyboard.
  20. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 GHz, a Nvidia 9800M GS 512MB, and 4GB of RAM and it runs fine for me. Some lag spots, but I can only expect performance to go up when its more optimized. Large battles and campaign missions slow it down to zero which is sort of disappointing, but its beta.
  21. I'm starting to get better at my gunnery. I make sure to research the terrain and position of targets before I make a gun run. With the gun recoil, I suggest you aim slightly below your target, that way you recoil into it and hit it. So far that's giving me great success.
  22. I use the manual as a reference. I'm finding the A-10C insanely easy to fly, I've mastered the avionics faster than I did with the KA-50. Difficult part is combat engagement tactics and taking off properly (I either break my landing gear or slam the tail on the ground).
  23. An X52 pro and Trackir 5 is very sufficient. I don't own a Trackir system (its expensive) and I find that the numpad is sufficient, but a Trackir is still the best for veiw control. Overall, a HOTAS, like the X52, system is practically required for a sim of this level. So that's your most important piece of hardware.
  24. When you have a test in 2 days and you haven't studied. This includes taking a break from reading the manual!
  25. I haven't had any problems reading them. I have had the same problem with the TGP and MAV screens and I get the feeling that 1024 every frame had something to do with it.
