Sorry mate! I'm translated it wrong. But the Kh-23L have larger warhead plus it's lighter. Just an example: If the Kh-25ML is a S-25 then the Kh-23l is a S-24. Both are good for the task they fill. PS: The Kh-25T ,MT ,MTPL would be great too, because they are fire-and-forget. And the Su-25T can use em.

Re: 3rd party weapons models (lets discuss the possibilities Look, this discussion is about new 3d models. And the Su-25 CAN carry the Kh-23L because it is a very common missile in the late 70s (when the Su-25 was designed) plus all the systems are available on the Su-25 for the employment of the Kh-23L.

I've found an interesting picture: A KAB-500L under the right inner pylon.

Hi Aquarius! Sorry, but this is the dumbest idea i've ever heard. A strike aricraft pilot never can handle a fighter plane in combat and a fighter pilot never can handle a strike plane. Maybe they could fly with each others plane but they can't use it in combat. They must learn the combat tactics, the planes performances, radar usage, weapons performances and so on. Maybe after years of re-training they are able to use in combat a fighter/strike plane. I could only image this situations: 1. Too few Su-25Ts are remaining operational and you must fight with a Su-25. 2. Your Su-25 squad re-equipped with Su-25Ts due to the heavy combat looses. But first you have to pass a quicky-course of Su-25T avionics. You have to be stay away from combat for weeks. And same for the Mig-29A/S

Shepski´s A10-Su33-Real-Weapon-Mod
Mechanist replied to Cosmonaut's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Re: Shepski´s A10-Su33-Real-Weapon-Mod Hi Cosmonaut That "Realism" mod is a year old :) And it is not realistic at all. I have read a much about the Su-25 (my favourite plane) and find out my first "realism" pack is an unrealistic c@rp  Nowdays I and my squad use/s the LOUP 1.4 A realism pack witch modifying most of the flyable and AI aircraft in Lock-On But it is only for internal use. -
Excellent news Alfa! I can't wait to make our squadskin and some other skins for the Su-25T And thanks again for the information. :yawinkle:
-
Hi Alfa! Is a Su-25T template will be available on this site? Of course after the release of 1.1.

I'm loged in ,but i can't download the new video. PLZ fix it.

Not the only hi-res skin for the poor Su-25! You can download more hi-res skins from this site. You can also find here my skins  P.S. I'm glad you like it! -
Yes this is my first thought too :) But I've read somewhere about this engagement method: If you have two Mig-27 with KAB-500L, the only way you can use the bombs is: the leader of the Mig-27s drop the bomb near the target and the wingman designate the target for the leaders bomb. The distance between the 2 Migs have to be at least 2-3 kms. The in the next pass the wingman drop the bomb and the leader designate the target and so on... It must be hard to modell, and i know, it is impossible to count this feature in the Lock-On 1.1 (because the shortage of time),but in the next addon should be in this feature.

Hi Alfa! I have got a question: Is the "ordinary" laser guided KAB-500 integrated on the Su-25T? I think too, the "Kr" is more useful than the laser guided one ,but i think ,with a laser guided stuff is more risky to hit the target, than with a fire-and-forget weapon. And for me, risk=challenge, challenge=fun :P

Rocket warhead diversity in V1.1
Mechanist replied to Avimimus's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
First of all: Thanks Avimimus Yeah! The High explosive rockets would be fun at all! But the armor-piercing and the fragamention rocket would be the workhorse of the unguided rockets. Yes it is possible. The rocket blocks have a predetermined sequence of rocket fireing. You just have to fill the blocks with different type of rockets. Than you can fire for example 5 signal than 10 fragamention than 5 AP rockets from one block. -
Rocket warhead diversity in V1.1
Mechanist replied to Avimimus's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thats good news at all! Maybe (i think) it is enough to make 2 different type of the S-5 and the S-8 rockets. A fragamention one and an armor-piercing one. You can use the fragamention ones well against "soft" targets like trucks or IFVs but almost ineffective against "hard" targets like tanks and ships. The armor-piercing ones, you can use against tanks and ships ,but it have no blast damage. I think this 2 types of unguided rockets would we use 90% of our missions ,if we get the whole S-5 and S-8 family modelled. So it is enough to modell this ones. (Sorry for my english, i hope you understand my text  ) -

Hi Alfa Thanks for those informations! I learned much about the Kh-31, thanks to this topic :) I have only one question left: How can the Su-24M use the Kh-31A and P? Maybe whit the L-081? I can understand the teams point of view: if we have not the realistic way to use the Kh-31 ,then it is not going to be added in the 1.1. It is a good point of view, i think
-
So, the answer is no. But we still have the Kh-58!
-
Sorry, this is the largest size :( I found this about Fantasmagoria-B / L-081 here: "External pod, provides emitter location/classification data for Kh-58 and Kh-31 ARMs. The two pods cover different bands. There may be a third pod designated Fantasmagoria-C." If it's true, it may be interesting. Any informations about this L-150/SPO-32 "Pastel" RWS "problem" fix in a patch?

Two dummy Kh-31 are mounted here on the T8M-10, the prototype of the Su-25T. These missiles are used for training purposes, with other words they simulate the employment of the real ones. This means, that for proper usgae the on-board systems for the missile have to be integrated into the weapon systems of the aircraft, so this aircraft should also be capable of employing the real Kh31. These dummys are also used on aircrafts, which do have the Kh31 in their selectable weapon list.
