Hi there! I've been working on some Su-25 skins for the wonderfull new modell. Useing the excellent Su-25 template from ED. Here is the first one: Strait out from Afganistan, historicaly correct camo and colors:

Is it possible to assign a key for variable-sweep wing control for the Su-17, F-14, MiG-23/27? Would be awsome!

Hi! First of all i love the new 3D modell, excellent work! My question is to some offical guy: Can we have the template sometimes soon? I'm eager to do some skins for it! I searched for the info about the new template but no joy... (this thread may belong to 3d modells of mods section i don't know)

The F-104 was the Starfighter but pilots called it "Widowmaker" at least German ones. The F-105 was the Thud...

Maybe if you add the SPPU-22 gunpod to the fusage, I dont think the AI could handle it, but as a flyable, maybe you got a chance, but you definitly can't aim with it...

DCS: Black Shark Target Detection Model for AI Aircraft

Also the LO has this problem... I hope too the BS don't fall in to the same mistake... -
DCS: Black Shark Target Detection Model for AI Aircraft
Mechanist replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Indeed the ArmA/OFP mission editor is the most complex I've ever saw. I spent on misson editing in OFP about 200 hours, but still i have no idea what is the limitation of the ME. Although I made a bunch of sweet missions, with my 25% knowledge about the ME. I like that ME because, mission editing is an art, and as an artist you must be abel to express your thoughts in a million ways, and the OFP mission editor is just perfect for the task. I made a bunch of missions for the Lock-On too, it is the most under powered mission editor I ever saw, but if you have the skills, you can fix some sweet missions even with the LO ME. I'm really looking forward for the BS ME, i think i'll spend more hours mission editing, then flying. -
DCS: Black Shark Target Detection Model for AI Aircraft
Mechanist replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Will there be a time limitation? For example: Spend 5 minutes over target area, then RTB? I think after these, the DCS mission editor could be as powerfull as the OFP/ArmA misson editor. -
No it isn't. Actualy it is a flaps thingy, when you use the landing flaps the stabilizer change its angel about 5°, Modelled correctly in the Su-25T. Wow, my favourite plane is the 25' for more than 10 years, and i realized this feature just now. :)

Take a look at this:

Ok here is some first hand informaiton about this. It is not public, thats all.

But when it comes to infantry support... the other helos (except the Huey) won't stand a chance... Beside the Mi-35 is not old, maybe heavy but durable, and have you ever been on a Hind? I was, and the cockpits are very ergonomic, in the cargo bay 8 fully armed person can travel comfortly, and about the IR missile thing... Most of the helicopters were shot down by shells and/or bullets. Also the sweeeeeeeeetest looking chopper in the whole world :)

Patch 1.13 Requested Features/Fixes List (*Merged)
Mechanist replied to Colt40Five's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
This thread is just a symphaty trick. They hold all the cards, they are in a monopole status in the sim industry, and this will hold a while because of the smallness of the market and lack of other products, that is the bottom line. We paid the FC and that was our purpose, everybody who have/had a business will agree on this with me... As it said before BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. Lock-On series is over, therefore, there is no more interest in it. DCS going to be the "work horse" so feed it not the ancestors. So the new this and new that wouldn't work. I'm sure they know it already what (if ever) they are going to fix... No offense to ED, this is capitalism, i agree with them, and for the community: just don't get your hopes up folks. -
I'm just really don't understand the concept of a Kh-25 in helicopters... Kh-25MP/MPU: Need a different fire control system witch likely doesn't exist on Ka-50, beside it is useless because you can sneak to the SAM and destroy it with ATGM guns or rocket, even bombs if it is not an AAA... Kh-25ML/L/A/T/TM: Maybe the L versions can be controlled by the fire control system/laser designator BUT, why do you need such missile? The only advantage of the Kh-25 is it's speed. When I fly the Su-25T i only use em if i want get rid of ADA-s fast, or i don't want to carry Vikhrs because of the drag factor. So my point is in a chopper you can't exploit these advantages (long distance-short time/less drag factor), and you can fit more useful weapons for those 4 pylons you have.

Same as on the russian side. If the DCS going to be the most realistic sim for PC (as it advertised), there is a must. Without this, this sim is no better than a average FPS shooter, when you just shoot the gun but you don't have any idea if it is a JHP or an FMJ munition...
-
As the only flyable in DCS so far, yes.
-
I think the main question of this thread is still unanswered. Will there be different warheads on rockets or not?
-
Ok I'm just totally confused right now! What is that? Witch program? It's clearly not DCS or Lock-On... So what is that program?

The Mi-6 is one big mother....er. Also has a very impressive interior :) Oh in the first picture, that is me, i was 193 cm tall, to compare the sizes.
-
Indeed... Maybe they're left something there and went back :D

There is such thing in IRL??? It dosen't fit in a russian style "economy" i think :D

Some correction: the Stinger is an 9K32 Strela and it is not a DShK either. I don't know what is that gun, but it has a 7,62 ammo box, and the DShK fires 12,7 mm munition. Must be a misslinking about the DShK http://www.pbase.com/rusastan/image/28851848
