Yes, other BlackShark Weapon post!
Mechanist replied to amalahama's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Just give us the bombs, R-73 are for fighters and fighter only make movies :). I'm sure most of the further Ka-50 pilots wants to make history. So let the bombs fall! Even from helicopters. It's gonna be like droping bombs in the IL-2 :D -
Unfortunetly the AI is the same night or day... In IRL you stand a chance against a fast attack plane with an Igla or Stringer only if you have radio communication with other AD or other units such as radars or other MANPADS, observers, etc... At night this is much harder because you don't either see or hear the planes until it is too late... And too late I mean they drop they bombs at the target you're suppose to protect. (as most of you forget AD units are not for shooting planes down but for protecting key targets) Just think about it: you in a town with your Igla at night. There is three possible conditions: The first you are drunk the second you are tired the third your chat with you buddies because nothing happens and it is boring. And if you don't got some information about the attacking plane you have no idea what will be happen this night. You can't see or hear a thing then suddenly you hear a loud engine sound then some bombs, you sober/wake up and starting look around but you can't see nothing you can only hear the engines. You don't know where exactly they are, and because the low speed of sound and the reflection of the sound they are not there where you hear them. So at night you don't got too much chance against fast planes, and they will be not that stupid to stay at the target zone more than 10-20 seconds or drop flares.

To set things right. Georgia also have the Su-25A-s not K-s. K is an export version. It is weaker than the Su-25A, like all export stuff from tha era. Georgia didn't buy their frogs, they "captured" it when the Sovietunion falled. I think we gonna get the first (couple) series of the Su-25A, with the R-95 engine. The R-95 is a bit weaker (4100 kp) than the R-195 (4500 kp) but the main feature of the R-195 is the cooling system, it has "much" cooler exhaust...

I'm glad to help this cause! The 25A is my favourite plane since Armoured Fist 2 back in 1997 :) Beside i mentioned this problem, before but nobody listend to it. Maybe this time... I really hope this time it reach the proper ears because i love to see my frog full of holes and with missing parts, just like back in the Il-2 when the mission was boring if you can't see through your sturmoviks wing :D.

Our squad and I've got the same problem with te Su-25A. When we hit by someting in the engine section, we say a couple of f*cks and this sh*t is gonna explode agains, and then we explode randomly. I agree that something have to done about this. The Su-25T and the A is basicly the same, because the T is built over an Su-25UB witch is the two seater version of the Su-25. So the engine section must be the same. Also in the cockpit there are two switches for fire extinguisher both in the A and the T. So it is have to be a bug. Also after you shot down the flameing engine in the A you're noticeing that the flameing sound volume gets lower and it's stops for 1 second then it's starst over again. After the flames starts again you can't save your plane. It is indeed a very very anoing bug.

Very nice indeed ;)

Don't get it wrong! We are not complaining, we are just happy about the community takes seriously our work ;). We are all know well there is a limited number of Su-25 skins in Lock-On (at the moment) so it is an honor to see our skins filling that limited place.

hmmm 2 of mine too :)

New ED SU-25K Model.........WHEN !
Mechanist replied to 504MrWolf's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thats true! Plus the K have an R-95Sh engine with no exhaust gas cooler, not like the late series A, witch have an R-195Sh engine. This is the most significant difference between the late series A (witch we have in the LO) and the K version. -
New ED SU-25K Model.........WHEN !
Mechanist replied to 504MrWolf's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Guys! The Su-25K is an export version! Russia Ukraine and Georgia still have the "old" Su-25A standard soviet version. Beside the "old" A version is better then the K export version, because it is a downgrader verison of the A. No exhaust gas cooler and i thing cannon is weaker to then in the standard A version and so on. I know the letter K is kooler but the A is the name of the game ;) By the way this modell looks just like they changeing the Su-25T modell. Finally they've realise how easily they can satisfy the great community of the Frog drivers. -
When? I can tell you: soon, really soon

Absolutely superb skin! As a fellow skiner i can understand how much work you put in that skin. Congartulation ;) (by the way it reminds me my unfinished T-skin...)

Yeah the Su-25 template is a hard nut to crack :D I know because i'm in the same shoe as MrWolf (literary) Maybe, if we all can work together on one fully satisfactory template... But this looks a fine template for me ;) Gratulation

I really don't have much time at the moment, but i'll try to keep the project allive. The mid section is neatly done. (After 8 hours of work)
