Because missiles are made that way they are not intended to hit the target, they have fuse, like laser and proximity, these fuse activates the warhead when it senses an object (in this case jet) within its range and then fragments, shrapnel and shock-wave does all the work of destroying the plane. So basically a hit on jet is not necessary to destroy it.
  2. Ya,a perfect Su-33.. You are from the category of people who see a cup has half empty, so be it and don't use it. And as far as your reverting the model to max is concerned, do delete whatever you have had of that Su-33 as max file. Because whatever I have distributed for free is for the specific use that is in ED's Simulators as (.lom) file only. I really don't like anyone doing any editing or any kind of that stuff, not ever reversion. I have released the max file to some one and it is with a license and if you are reverting the lom to max file you are actually violating my license of max file, which actually should not even be there with you (as max file). So whether you think its criminal act or not and I'm not pointing it out either, because that part I'll leave with the community. Hope you would take this seriously and never revert any other model.   4. If you are talking about FC2 you are right but IRL you are wrong, it does have that capability.
  5. I did that and now I'm facing the problem of export module failure. and I have undone every thing I did and still no luck. Edited: I had to re do some work because the max file got corrupt and was not getting exported. I also figured out collision the actual problem was that I didn't configure collision model in skins file.
  6. I wanted to know whether making a model large(for ease of modeling) and then re-sizing it to correct dimensions affect the models damaging ability. What I have done is I made my Su-30 some kilometer in length(other dimensions are also relatively large) and then re-sized it to correct dimensions. Now what I'm facing is that the model does get damaged by missile but not guns, shells just pass through it and never actually hit it. There is a bit problem with it getting damaged with missile too, it acts like a tank, damages after multiple hits, though LR-SAM can blow it out in one hit. Need some answers here guys, don't know whats happening.

  8. Don't worry we are in no hurry. Also, there are no failures, just instances when you weren't successful.
  9. Model is almost complete but there will be only partial damage model because of the complexity(not in modeling but functionality). P.S. A days work is left and will release it as soon as I get pilot model from Pougatchev.
  10. Great going mate but I had attained this a month after FC2 was release the only thing I didn't like in this is that you get a mixture of two terrains and none of them is full. But here is a suggestion, you can use all the FC2 textures in your mod so that atleast you will get good new texture. I used to use BS textures in FC1.12b when FC2 was not released.
  11. That's not AI man and RADAR will turn off only when it detects the a launch towards it and then too its just probable.

  14. Well I have created a standard of adding Killermachine before the texture. but then let me try the utility first. Edited: Got it. Right, the names were too long.
  15. The textures are 2048x2048 and as I made CDDS for my other models of same texture sizes I know it can be done. But can anybody tell me what the error in the screen shot mean.
  16. guys I know that. As I said the CDDS file is generated with the textures in it but they don't work in game and yes the path is in the cfg file.
  17. I get this error when I build CDDS for my Su-30. The textures are added in CDDS file but they are not seen in the game. I can see the textures even in cdds explorer.

  20. I don't think the skin affected it because a new skin can't break your pitot tube.
