Hi, I'm fairly new to DCS so this may be a stupid question but despite searching I have been unable to find the answer. Does the ATC in DCS only work with the VHF tower frequency? or is this just the case for Nellis? No matter what I do, I can not talk to ATC via UHF. I can talk to the tanker via UHF but not ATC. Only the TWR frequency works for me, 132.55, so I have to ask startup/taxi and take off from 132.55. Is that normal for DCS? In real life don't military guys use UHF for almost all ATC?

HUD Brightness: I did a flight yesterday with a thick cloud layer. I noticed that as soon as you point towards the cloud and also whilst in or above the cloud that the HUD is almost unreadable unless you point towards the sky. The colour doesn't pop out and it looks like the brightness is turned down. Once under the cloud layer the hud is clearly visible again. This is with the HUD brightness turned all the way up on the UFC. The HUD display switch in AUTO/DAY OR NIGHT doesn't make a difference. Have I missed a setting or switch? I am using a HP Reverb btw. How can I change the colour or brightness of the HUD other than the UFC?

No idea, but after the Integrity check and avoidance of the kneeboard builder its working fine. Really odd. It's shame because I like the program.

FIXED IT! Fixed it by running an integrity check via Steam (because Steam does not do REPAIR). It was the Kneeboard creator program that was causing the problem. As soon as i did not use that to create a kneeboard the problem was solved and my DED is working again!

For the F16 guys, if you find that your DED doesn't work properly and it's blank on the main page you should do a REPAIR or INTEGRITY check with STEAM and do not use the Kneeboard Builder to create a kneeboard. This solved the problem for me.

Yep, it's not that. Certain pages are visible , like the INS page or COMM1 and 2 but as soon as I hit RETURN with the dobber switch it blanks.

Good question! I just had a quick check and indeed the shortcuts were removed! I assumed it was because I was messing around with the kneeboard and did something I shouldn't have. So there is no way of saving the shortcuts?

So in your example above, if you were to select from the GROUPS SELECTED FOR CUSTOM KNEEBOARD: - NORMAL PROCEDURES - ADF NAV PROC - RADAR PROCEDURES - M01 BRIEFING and then clicked on BUILD CUSTOM KNEEBOARD....would that not give you those 4 groups in the kneeboard?

The one thing that confuses me is the groups section of the program. I saw in the tutorial that you can create several groups but how do you implement this and can you only use 1 group per flight or can you combine the groups to get 1 big kneeboard?

Hmmm, strange, I managed to create shortcuts yesterday and flick through the shortcuts back an forth by assigning keys to them. Check out CONTROLS and search for KNEEBOARD, you'll see it.

Hi guys, only just discovered this great app! Thank you to the creator for making it. Is there a maximum amount of pages that can be loaded into the kneeboard, if so, what is it? Does it also matter what DPI was used for the PDF files to uploaded?
