This "Inside Job" documentary looks like a killer documentary..It would be a better movie than "Wall Street" (2010) :-) Damn the modern world could have ended because of this financial crisis. Bravo to the states which helped minimize the effects of this crisis and courageous people and my prayers go to those who lost their homes in the USA and elsewhere (like in Japan right now: will insurances pay for this?)

Playing "Morrowind" again Guys, I'm playing "Morrowind" RPG again and it feels so much better than DA2 even if the graphics are old! Better than "Oblivion" too I believe...Can't wait for the "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" (coming out 11-11-11 :-) ) The Witcher 2 will be great I think!

Hello, At 1:19 in this Youtube clip from "Any which way you can" (1980)great movie, sequel to "Any which way but lose" (1979), there is a scene towards the end of the movie where one can see a small private jet turning straight into a California town using the main traffic road. Was this real? It was greatly filmed I think. By the way I liked very much these 2 movies, with Philo Beddo as Clint Eastwood (or rather Clint Eastwood as Philo Beddo, "whichever way" you want ):-) Yet at that time he was almost 50 years old and still looked younger, like 40 or so. ${1}

Too bad there isn't a second seat in the A-10..Otherwise another pilot could have landed and picked you up and back to the base! Anyway I don't know if an A-10 can land other than on a runway? By the way I'm looking for a video on Youtube showing the pilot walking after ejection. Do you have any link?

Hello, I know it is possible to simulate engine and hydraulic failures with the mission editor, however I would like to know if you would be interested in begin able to simulate major wing destruction . For example at X time, simulate a right wing blown off (presumably by AAA or SAM). This way I could create realistic missions based on my current novel about Warthogs in the first 1991 Gulf War. I know it would be odd to have a wing blown off without an actual missile hitting it, but what's interesting is how the pilot would react in this scenarion and then we would have a common situation to compare betwenn fellos DCS: Hog "drivers" (I'm getting used to the A-10 community vocabulary :-) or shouldI say RF0A-10G pilots? :-) Damn I wish I was an A-10 pilot!

Hello, I read a funny statement in the novel I purchased "Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War" by William L.Smallwood. (very good novel by the way) It says something like: "Above 500 feet we definitely must put on our oxygen masks"...All this to say that A-10 pilots really were used to fly very very low and that above 500 feet it seems very high :-) And by the way, when is Beta 5 coming out? :-)

Hello, I just wanted to share with you this nice video about a micro-jet warming up. Hope you like it. I was the one filming and the plane lost one of its wheel on take off and had to do a hard landing when it ran out of fuel (about 5 minutes of autonomy with 2 liters of fuel (kerosene). Hello, I wonder if there is an AWACS PC simulator out there ?? And if not would there be any interest in making one? For example the player would have to direct squadrons./planes to designated targets, etc. I wonder if there is an AWACS mod for Flight Simulator ... What about a Gunship simulator too? Strafing from a gunship would be fun.. Just note that the Histomod for Il-2 1946 (check Histomod in Google, but site in French) allows you to fire and fly a 1945 Gunship. Primitive, but it exists!

Engine failure due to sand: Possible feature ? Hello, I am currently reading an A-10 book about pilots during Operation Desert Storm. Normally desert sand is no good at all for most jet planes because of wear and abrasion, but not for the A-10's turbofan enginesDesert sand actually "cleans" the engine system and so the sand present in Iraq and Kuwait it ok for A-10's. However an idea popped into my mind about engine wear in general. I don't think this feature is implemented in DCS-A-10C. For example bird strikes killing engines, or grass getting whopped into the turbofan engines, or dust, small rocks, etc, etc... I think if DCS could implement such a feature it would make the sim even more realistic. I know that the engines are placed so that no foreign object can get into the turbofans, however, I'm sure it's still possible during great winds, or dust storms, etc... This wear would result in less power, and so the pilot would have to manage carefully the plane in order to be able to land or take off again. And last of all, what about St Elmo's fire (during thunderstorms)? In the beginning chapter of this great book there is a story of A-10 pilots ferrying from USA to their base during Operation Desert Storm and going through thinderstorms. A-10 C in ArmA II Operation Overhead? Hello, This new PC game looks awesome. I saw videos where we can see A-10's CAS strikes. Do you think they are A-10 C's? I wish I could pilot an A-10 in this game, but I'm not sure... I know it has the Apache though, but also does Call of duty Black Ops..It's arcade of course, not a full simulation. Ah I can't wait until "DCS: AH-52D Longbow!" :-)

REX for DCS:A-10C (or FC2?) Hello, I know it might sound a bit "science-fiction", but I wonder if one day we will have HD textures in DCS simulations, like REX (Real Environement Extreme) for FSX and FS 2004, the famous quality add-on? I know that HD texture and photo-realistic textures are not part of DCS plans today, but maybe other independant companies will see a benefit in creating such an add-on one day? What do you think? We could have REX for FC2 already since FC2 has been out for quite some time. And then later on REX for DCS-A-10C.Well it doesn't have to be "REX"..It could be any other add-on that offers High quality ground textures, clouds, weather system?, ground objects and air traffic.. This was a dream I had last night...:-)

Hello, Is is possible for a simple user to create mods ? Is it possible for the Beta versions already and how? I would like to develop a simple mod, like a Briefing Room with clickable icons just before the flight in between two screens and the possibility to check information about other fellow pilots, their history, about the current news, etc... That would give a more realistic feeling... Is this possible?

What about Online Training Courses for the A-10C? There would one or several instructors, and newbies and the insctructors would take off with each student to teach them LIVE a few things...Nothing better than a concrete application, don't you think?
