By the way: why is Beta 4 much slower to load than Beta 3? Even when going to the Options menu I have to wait so long, whereas before it used to pop up almost immediately? I know I run Windows XP, but still with Beta it ran fine...I justa made a clean reinstall of Beta 4 from scratch.

I get a crash at startup. I just installed Beta 4 over Beta 3 and I get a white screen saying dxgui LA binding, and then nothing happens..Is this normal?? I rn it on Windows XP.

Hello, Well, I know my proposal/request may sound completely unrealistic , but nonetheless I wish to submit it to your appraisal. Here in France we never see A-10 in air shows. I live in France, so I don't know about Germany or the UK,but I know that I would not get the chance to see one in France. And I never heard about even one A-10 flying over French territory. So my idea is simple: put pressure on air show organizations to bring the A-10 to display in France and in European countries where it has never been shown at least once. I went to Salon du Bourget in Paris But I don't know how to do it : who or whom should I contact? Will I even be heard or listened to? And what are my chances that my proposal will be fulfilled? Or better: why don't we do it as a group, maybe through a Facebook fan page, or using a petition or association or whatever. In any case this is more than a simple proposal: it would be a dream to see a real A-10 with my eyes and I am confident hundreds or thousands of people would think the same way. Merry Christmas.

Hello, I have a related question: how can I target a Manpad with the Maverick? They are so small that the Maverick can't lock on them, even when zooming...Is there a way to zoom even further with the Maverick onboard system?

Hello I have a general question : is it better to use an NVIDA video card or an ATI video card for DCS: A-10 C and in general for DCS simulators? Are there big differences in performance for DCS: A-10 C Warthog?

Do you think future DCS simulators will be even more demanding than DCS: A-10C? Otherwise I will just upgrade until I get a new computer. Damn..And I bought this PC less than 2 years ago and I thought it would last at least 3 years! Couldn't DCS develop simulators less demanding in power and graphics and still delivering better results (do we caal this optimization or better coding??) Efficiency? I have no idea what programming language is used, so I don't want to judge. AND yes I have 32-bit Windows XP SP3. I have 4 gb installed, and only 3.2gb used..Someone told me there a soft that could use the whole 4 gb, but didn't find it until today. I'll overclock the CPU in the meantime..Shouldn't hurt... What about GameBooster? Does it reaalu enhance performance for this simulator?

Hello, Is my PC configuration suitable to run this simulator? It takes ages on high and medium video settings. Only in low settings does it load fast enough.. Just as a reminder: My PC config: Windows XP SP3, 4 gb RAM DDR2, Intel E5200 Core 2 Duo 2.5ghz, MSI P-35 Neo (motherboard), nvidia 9800 GT 512mb. Should I just install a better video card, or do I need to get a better motherboard and processor too? What about OS? Can I keep XP ? I just want faster loading times and more fps. Thanks.

Also infantry is not moving on the ground or I am wrong? AA infantry just stays put...Normally they are supposed to take cover and shoot low flying aircrafts or helicopters, but then it would be too damn hard to designate a single manpad with a maverick...

I would like to see "DCS: Su-25/T" , just like "DCS: A-10 C Warthog" A much more complex and realistic flying of the Su-25 and Su-25T. Then the odds will be even..:-) But are the Su-25 and Su-25T in FC2 already realistic enough? Can't we go deeper into details like in DCS: A-10 C Warthog? I was going to ask for "DCS: AV 8/B Harrier II ", but it has been put out of service. And still I don't think DCS would have done it, although VTOL flying in a DCS simulation would be AWESOME.and there is only one PC flight simulator with Harrier. I think it is a mod for Strike Fighters or for Wings Over Europe something like that...

Hello, I wonder: what kind of physical training do jet fighter pilots praxtice in their lifes usually? I mean, do they always have to stay fit and go to the fitness club or just build endurance (running, swimming)? And how to avoid muscle tensions when having to stay in a cockpit for hours?

Hello, I know that would seem useless since the F-117 Stealth fighter (rather bomber) is not in service anymore, but had DCS existed 15 years ago I would have said "Next DCS installment: F-117". What do you think of this? It would be quite different to fly a completely stealth aircraft and learn to avoid radar detection.

I would love to see emergency trucks/firefighters personnel and rescue personnel rush up on the landing pad when a damaged Ka-50 comes back to base..that would add a really cool feeling to this simulation. Same thing with A-10 or other planes would be cool too :-)

Sidewinders are useless..The A-10 has no chance against enemy fighters...It is better to take more bombs or Mavericks because the A-10 will seldom use its AIM-9 Sidewinders...Enemy helicopters can be a threat, but the A-10 countermeasures and evasive manoeuvers should be enough to counter that threat...And remember that you can shoot down helicopters with the GAU-8 cannon at low speeds. About Mavericks: they tend to miss their targets when launched from too far. I would recommend always keeping a few rockets in case because rockets are very effective at close range and used properly, even if it means getting inside the AA's range...

Hello, I have just 2 wishes, but I don't know if this possible with the DCS game engines: - The ability to speak to Special Ops on the ground for laser target designation or to receive instructions/give instructions. For example "Team Snake 1 (Special Ops). Target illuminated. You are go for delivery" Answer (from Communication Menu "Roger. Delivery on its way" or "Negative. Too much AA in the area" or whatever Ideally I dream of being able to see a small cinematics screen in the corner of the PC screen to see what's going on on the ground just before impact, or just after, to avoid having to switch to Full Ground View (F7) and lose sight of the HUD. It could be integrating a small screen of the F7 view (target view) and then disabling it once bombing/strike has been done. Just like in Silent Hunter 4 and 5 , if you recall. Hi, I am looking for official training videos to download or to wath online. Could not find them on Youtube. Also, I can't get the Maverick to lock on targets...Is there a minimal size for the lock? What does "Goling limits" (or something like that) means on the Maverick display? I can't target after done a violent manoeuver.The tracking system has to be reset? Concerning the TrackIR4. It works ok, except that sometimes when I launch missions it is upside down and I can't put it back in normal view...

I can't save my profile in DCS 1-10 Warthog. I have changed many coma,nds/controls, but I can't save them or export or print them! How can I do? Also looking for a list of default commands to print... Also please: I would like to assign Maverick targeting to my my joystick HOTAS control, but I can't seem to find the right settings. You know? Therefore I look for military aviators willing to send me their stories (with audio,video, pictures if they have) and I will post them on my web site. My goal is to present new and unique tales and offer quality stories. NOTE: I am also looking for A-10 stories from real aviators and civilian aviators that have unusual stories to tell. The website language will be English and possibly French. (I speak and understand both). Don't hesitate to send me your contributions and be precise about dates, locations, types of engagements/situations and aircrafts involved. Utimately I am planning on offering the possibility to look for combat stories visually with a world map and filtering by Time Period, or Location, or type of Combats (eg: war engagement, special ops, reconnaissance, etc)
