  1. Something I've noticed, sorry if it's already report but I've noticed that in multicrew, if the CPG adds a point and sets a direct to, the pilot will not see the correct new waypoint and home plate symbology in their IHADSS unless the CPG also adds the point to a route and then gives a direct to via the route list (cursor selecting a point on TSD will not update info for pilot) Thanks
  2. I'd like to see George be able to fly a route by following waypoints rather than just a heading so you don't have to input constant steering. I think the auto-advance steerpoint logic is already there. Player CPG can drop waypoints and build a route. George needs to simply fly the route. Still could adjust AI George speed or tell him to stop along the route, so this could be done in mission editor or on the fly by CPG (assuming you add W03 before he gets to W02 for example). If he reaches the end, just hover and await further commands.
  3. I think I am having same issue but I'm not entirely sure. I am getting the "AR" on hellfires to show that it is ready and looking for laser code A. I have confirmed all laser and hellfire racks are armed and all laser code options set to A. Laser fires but hellfire remains at "AR" rather than seeing the laser and going to "AT". If you fire on "AR" missile of course sails and does not track the target at all (its not off by a small amount, it tracks nothing...) It seems random when you get AT vs. not sometimes a helicopter will not ever get an AT, other times you can fire 4 in a row and then all of a sudden its just AR....I cannot find the variable causing the difference. If its the same bug, no problem, I'll wait. I believe we are talking about same thing, but I am just not 100% confident that its the same as what's been reported here. Thanks
  4. @BIGNEWY I figured I'd tag a mod and hope they see that this widespread issue. I didn't want to repost as it's already posted, but this probably should have been placed in the bugs forum rather than installation issues...
  5. HeatBlur. Please see video https://youtu.be/441DMUErLuo. starting at approx 0:45. This issue is similar to the recent issue with the Mi24 that was just fixed where those with multi-monitor setups had the viewport stretched among the screens instead of assigned to the main screen. The video export on the Lantirn pod does the same thing, it would be preferable to have this on the main screen as most who do video capture are capturing the main screen, not their MFDs on other screens.   6. I've attached a video showing what I believe he is describing. I'm having the same problem. At times the FLIR to slew but the HUD designator does not move along with it so the bomb fall line will not move either making CCRP / Laser guided bombing impossible. Sorry, When I say "click" in video im referring to TMS UP. It seems like if the FLIR pod won't slew you have to press TMS up to get it to slew and it's then that it moves in FLIR but not HUD/Bomb fall Line.
  7. Bump.... I am having this problem also. I see other multiplayer servers that DO have it working at night... and my mission works in single player.... but I see no setting for it.... contacting ATC does not bring the lights on. It appears that SOMEONE knows how to make it work for other mutliplayer servers.... This post has tons of views and still no answers... DCS's best kept secret?
  8. Sorry I'm a late to the party newb here.. Is there a guide or walk through or a how to or readme file or anything for actually using this program? Also my understanding is that the purpose of this is to use Open Beta and Release with 1 installed copy of the game ? Any help is appreciated
  9. Maybe a bit of a necro on older thread....but a question: If you transfer a module from Steam to DCS standalone, does it remove it from Steam? I'm just contemplating a switch to standalone but didn't know if I'd have the ability to go back to Steam.... Thanks
  10. Hey all! TLDR: How to override LA on Shkval? Laser missiles range is NOT as stated. I'm new to game and newer to forums (first post). I tried DCS a while back but didn't have time to put in for steep learning curve. I'm getting back into it and I enjoy the SU-25T but I'm having some difficulties and hoping for help. I keep reading about supposed ranges on missiles like Kh-25ML - 20km Kh-29T - 12km Kh-29L - 10 km Vikhrs like 8-10 km In my experience the range is about half of what is stated! Am I doing something wrong? Maybe old numbers? I have adjusted the box size and simply can NEVER get an "LA" prior to 10km. I can see the target perfectly. box right on it, No LA even toying with box size. I have read in forums and hear some people talking about "overriding the LA" to manually shoot missile and guide it in with slew unlocked, which I'd love to try but I see no command to assign a hotkey to anything like that. How do you manually override LA? I guess its not just the LA missing because the caret on the left side of HUD that shows launch range is acting same. I cannot get "in range" on a Vikhr until 4 km! I have seen plenty of comments about the Kh-25MPU's falling short which I have also experiences. They were not off left/right or up/down.... just lost steam and fell to ground before reaching target but apparently thats a widespread issue. These missions with tons of AA are insane as I see most have stated. I literally have tried Georgian Oil War Mission 1 probably 50 times. I have tried Cyclone3 campaign as an alternative but the 2nd or 3rd mission where you have to strike the column of armor headed to Gali my wingmen don't take off and I'm stuck in air-to-air combat with 4 enemies and never make it to air-to-ground targets.... I love the game now that I'm getting into it but nothing seems to be coming together.... Any help is appreciated :)
