sunski34 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) Hi, I modified the NATO.lua file to add L/L (degrees, minutes, decimals). Now, the target designation (accuracy = 3) is given with two informations : -> In MGRS -> In LL I don't know how to get the aircraft type from NATO.lua file to adjust the good information depending of the Aircraft type. :( If somebody knows, ask me !!Sound NATO.zip Edited August 21, 2016 by sunski34 2
sunski34 Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 Works in the last version 1.5.4. Have to be tested on 2.0.3
Rlaxoxo Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 This is awesome Thank you! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
Harke Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 tryied, coordinates are shifted for me ex: my target is at N41.55.63 the jtac give me N41.55.19 not a conversion error since .63 give .37
Rlaxoxo Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 tryied, coordinates are shifted for me ex: my target is at N41.55.63 the jtac give me N41.55.19 not a conversion error since .63 give .37 LL moves at increments and JTAC doesn't necessarly pinpoint the location of the target but somewhatclose to it [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
Rlaxoxo Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 ok but not that much.. more than 1nm ?! nav drift perhappsA [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
Harke Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 ok I have understand what happen ^^' Jtac give the position of the middle of the group I'm targeting... so if you disperse them.. so this mod work like a charm again unit alone ^^'
sunski34 Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 I will test but ... The formula is easy : take abs value of Vabs take integer part I of Vabs M = (Vabs-I) * 60 so I degrees M minutes with decimals secondes The LL value are given by base.coord.LOtoLL(point) presents in the original file (no change) The best way is to compare with position in editor.
jojo Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 ok but not that much.. more than 1nm ?! In the exemple you give, the difference is 44/100th of latitude. It's near of 815m, not 1Nm (1852m) :smilewink: Mirage fanatic ! I7-7700K/ MSI RTX3080/ RAM 64 Go/ SSD / TM Hornet stick-Virpil WarBRD + Virpil CM3 Throttle + MFG Crosswind + Reverb G2. sunski34 Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 Group coord = barycentre Yes, when more than one unit in a group , it's the barycentre.

jojo Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Yes, when more than one unit in a group , it's the barycentre. Then it can be a problem if he isn't giving the coordinates of the target illuminated by laser... Mirage fanatic ! sunski34 Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 The coordonates of a group is the barycentre. I don't modify ED lua codes just add the conversion. So I think, that thoses coordonates are the barycentre of the group but lazing is good on target so there's no link between the information point given and lazing. With the barycentre you know where the group is approximatly
Harke Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 He give coordinates only one time for all the group
