GGTharos Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 No, there is not. At least not until things lose their classification status, and even then it might be an issue. Considering the aforementioned restrictions and security classifications of said documentation, is there a way to reliably verify what people on a gaming forum (even if they are skilled and enthusiastic with some connections) have correct information? Will an F-15E pilot be at liberty to answer questions seeking verification of whether an implementation of the system in a simulator is correct and if not how to fix it? Flyby Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 well OK Viper, but How about a Cessna, a coupla Flashbangs, Smokers and a crate of Grenades? One Breather flies whilst the other hangs out of the window lobbing, alternating as the Grenade-Elbow plays up! :D I get to fly the plane!!:D:D:pilotfly: Flyby out The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
Deadman Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 http://www.fighterops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=40663&postcount=7 Says the same thing as GG unless you have a link to the post your talking about Try their forums:thumbup: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
RedTiger Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I'm not sure what you're trying to say there. ED WILL NOT implement a Tiger or a modern jet unless they have a military contract to do so. With that contract come the data. And that's all there is to it. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you here, but does this mean that ED has contracts to create F-15C, Su-27P, MiG-29A, etc? I don't know if you'd call those "modern". I ask because its interesting if they do. I've often thought it would be neat if ED had a similar situation with the Su27SM that they had with the A-10C: they have a contract for it from the Russian air force but then get the go-ahead to make a commercial version of it.
Flyby Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 OK. enogh about the E. I give in. per the list of to-be-released DCS aircraft add-ons, there is no deep strike two-place fighter among them. So I can stop asking now. I just turned 59, so I guess I'll be blind, cripple and crazy by the time DCS gets around to one. While I'm at it, I did a search for the AH-64a Block 49a. I can't find a thing on it. Anyone got a handle on this one? Flyby out The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
CE_Mikemonster Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Erm.. Is Georgia big enough for a deep-strike? Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T
Flyby Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Erm.. Is Georgia big enough for a deep-strike? I'd say yes, flying the length of it. Not like flying from England to Berlin, but for the sake of online flying in a fast strike aircraft (thinking of attention span here) it'll do nicely. Still have to haul some fuel or refuel to make it, imo. ;) Flyby out The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
SUBS17 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I stand by what I said. ;) Heres a forum that might help. http://www.f-15estrikeeagle.com/ BTW appearantly the F-15Es radar can detect bad weather like airliners which makes me wonder about how you would model that in a combat sim would be cool with dynamic weather though. I think the A/A radar modes are probably the same as the C which ED is going to do anyway. The big question is the A/G radar for the guy in the back seat. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
AlphaOneSix Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 While I'm at it, I did a search for the AH-64a Block 49a. I can't find a thing on it. Anyone got a handle on this one? The "-49A" really just refers to the version of the fire control computer on the aircraft. For example: Some AH-64A helicopters have the 7-319200005-11 Fire Control Computer (FCC) with –51 software installed (EGI Mod); others have the 7-319200005-9A Fire Control Computer (FCC) with –49A software installed; others yet have the 7-319200005-5 FCC with –45 software. Because of differences in operation' date=' displays, etc. designator symbols -45, -49A, and -51 will indicate material peculiar to that software installation.[/quote']
