Poopskadoop Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 So I see they haven't terminated the Ka-50 project? I would have chosen the Ka-50 over the Mi-28. As I understand it, the only reason they chose the Mi-28 was because it had night attack capability. Well, we see now that this is also available on a variant of the Ka-50.
nscode Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Mi-28 was chosen to be the primary chopper.. not the only one ;) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
ED Team Groove Posted January 31, 2007 ED Team Posted January 31, 2007 Imho it was chosen ( Mi-28 ) because it has a higher survivability, is cheaper, night-attack ability. And the two-man-crew is better then one pilot ( imho ). Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Force_Feedback Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 And it has an emergency transport hold, and a more effective crash absorbrion comples with the pamir seats, and K-37 on the newest prototype. Oh, and it can carry 18 (2*8) Shturm/Ataka missiles versus the 12 Vikhrs on the ka-50. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
AlexHunter Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Little info ;) This is system L370 Witebsk (export name Kolthuga). Л370 Витэбск/Кольчуга L370-5 L140 Otklik in rear And I want it in "Black Shark", but as said developers, there is not the detailed information on these systems, about that as they work as there is a conclusion of this information et cetera, and to invent and dream up as though however decently. And information on the complete parameters of these systems is closed (SECRET), and it so superficial information clearly not giving a complete picture on work of these systems. All of helicopters KA-50 standings on an armament will be taken to this standard, and new which will go out already will be with these systems, that confirm these photos. KA-50 remain on an armament in the Russian army, as helicopters for the SPECIAL operations, and a positive decision is accepted on completion of remaining helicopters, it in our Russia already even showed on the channel of NTV, judging to on shots from a factory, on these machines there will be all that that is shown on a photo higher. And MI-28N, will be a basic battle helicopter. Открылась бездна звезд полна; Звездам числа нет, бездне дна. (М. В. Ломоносов)

It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
Force_Feedback Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Awwwwwwww.... Isn't she beautiful..... Kusch, I'll buy you a virtual keg of beer for this :D Make that two. Looks really nice, less evil. The black camo scheme reminds me of airwolf, and makes it scary somehow. When will the V-2500 engines be installed? Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
