71st_Mastiff Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 I managed to play an entire Su-25 mission, one of the custom ones, without a crash. I finished it and then I tried playing the A-10 campaign and it caused a crash. I have noticed if you change the perameters of a locked mission such as ad external views, it will CTD the A10 missions. HiJack Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Dualbooting Win7 X64 and Vista X32 works fine. 150GB playable disk for Lock On on the Vista partition. TrackIR, saitek X52 and Creative X-Fi also works without complaining. Game ON :juggle:
HiJack Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) Shit, I'm using up my activation for FC on this reinstall business. Is there anyway to order new activations? :( Now I installed Modman and it says I need to reinstall LOMAC because its installed in Program Files (the default) !!!! Edited August 28, 2009 by HiJack
HiJack Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL :) The problem with Vista and Windows 7 is one reason only! The path to the game needs to be “C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On” then everything works fine! Even the good old 1.02 patch is running like charm under Windows 7 :D You need to switch off UAC on the user account firs, that’s all! Really you need to put this information on top of the forum or make an article about this sticky! Default installation path! Default installation path! Default installation path! :pilotfly: ®

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On No it does not need to be in a default, I have it F:\Programs(x86) Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On Default would be C:\Programs\ "any failure you meet, is never a defeat; merely a set up for a greater come back", W Forbes. HiJack Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 (edited) No it does not need to be in a default, I have it F:\Programs(x86) Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On Default would be C:\Programs\ OK, that I did not try! So maybe it was pissed off by me removing "Eagle Dynamics" and installing to "D:\LockOn" then :P Anyway, It's working fine now on Windows 7 X64 Enterprise edition :D ® Edited August 29, 2009 by HiJack
71st_Mastiff Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 just so you know programs(x86) just means thats 32bit software programs or run programs in 32 bit the other would be for 64bit i.e. C:\Programs. Joe Kurr Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I just installed LOFC on Windows 7 (x64) in D:\Lock On and it works like a charm. Just make sure you install everything (lockon, Flaming Cliffs, Patch 1.12b, SF Update) with Administrator privileges. Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
