Now it is a new version of Reshade with Mediator, so the adjustment easier. I have checked the following items:

SweetFX-Mediator3.jpg

How did you adjust yours?

I used to have sweetfx for a long time and played a lot with it with CLOD & BOS were it really improve shimering and fade colours and adjust contrast.

but for DCS, each time I found the perfect setting, itterating for days, the final best result was so closed to the stock version. so I don't use it anymore in DCS.

Unfact I can give a help for anyone interresting to know wich fonction tweek what ...

Very colorish your pictures are ;-)

Yes they are. I think DCSW needs a little more color, so I adjust vivid and more saturated. :smartass: When I turn off Reshade SwFx then to me, everything seems to have kind of washed colors.

Sorry Snowsniper I don't know what is "CLOD & BOS".

Interesting maybe the tool i'm looking for, DCS 1.5 is great looking but like you i find color a bit washy.... I don't know anything about Reshade and Mediator, could you provide the complete installation procedure please? I don't want to destroy my game....

and CLOD: Cliff Of Dover and ROF: Rise Of Flight.

And maybe it depends on our monitor color profile. For me it looks pretty nice. I must just warn you when it's switched post processing ON causes a 10-15 drop in FPS. But I have an old GPU (GTX 460). I think it is not applicable to the AMD GPU.

Here are the instructions:

Thank you for your answer, i will give it a try. I use this online tool http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ to calibrate my monitor, it display colors very well but i don't know DCS is the only game i have where i say myself "Mmm... is it blurry or what?" BTW it look great, i just want to play with colors and maybe some AA.

Damn, call me stupid but i can't get it working... Wich executable do i need to select? I've tried DCS.exe and DCSUpdater.exe but it don't work, i'm a bit lost....

Posted (edited)

You need to choose DCS.exe, and post-processing switches On/Off with Scroll Lock. But to see some changes You need to adjust those selected items by moving the slider(s) to the values that suit to you.

To see what those changes are, it is best to put the DCS in window mode, and when you're finished adjusting, back again in full screen. When adjusting you must be running the DCS and Mediator, of course.

Well a very good tool, i adjust contrast, play with curves, and add some sharpening and FXAA... here are screenshots, not easy to see on a static image but you really see it and feel it while in game... love it!

Nice, nice. Though I would still slightly increase color saturation :music_whistling:

Thank's, first step in my process, will try more tuning. For Invisibull, i can share setting but i think it's a very personnal preference, the way it look on my screen may look different in yours, also, Reshade in not the only thing i use, i have Nvidia Inspector and enable Sparse Grid Supersampling to....it help a lot ....Basically i followed the steps linked by Kobac in this video:

[ame]

[/ame]

Only things i tick in Mediator (for now):

-Vibrance

-Curves

-Lumasharpen

-FXAA

And play a bit with sliders, that's all. I was like you a total noob with Reshade and quickly understand How it work.
