Seems the WP "hold" function is inop in the new update. Vehicle will not hold at a given WP. Sample mission attached.

In this simple mission the enemy vehicle is supposed to hold at its first WP until flag 1 is true. It doesn't.

Play mission as game master.

Not sure what else is broke in the ME. Very frustrating ED.

did some more trouble shooting. WP "hold" feature is definitely broken. Not a flag on/off issue. Doesn't matter if the mission was created before or after the update.

A mission I have/ran using the “hold” advanced waypoint “perform action” command no longer works as of 2.5.6. A column group with the hold immediately starts moving at the start of the mission - the stop condition flag has not yet been set to true yet.

Just wanted to back up Paco in that I’ve been able to reproduce this bug.

Hi

I was unable to test with your mission due to a mod, but I will look into it.

It seems to be ok in my test mission

thanks

Bignewy,

Ran your mission, however the initial hold feature is still broken. I modded your mission, the BTR should hold at SP until flag 2 is activated via radio menu when playing as game master, but instead it just drives on. It does indeed hold at WP1 as you demonstrated, so I'm thinking the "hold" function doesn't activate at mission start for WP's with a hold at SP. Just a theory. I can do some more research to narrow down this bug. Thanks for the time. Trying to attach your mission that I modded.

Bignewy,

Did some more research using using a modded version your mission. I think it's a mission start issue, where DCS isn't recognizing hold (or any advanced WP function) at mission start. The "hold" at WP function isn't working at mission start but works after the mission is running. I can explain more if you like.

Not sure if it is related, I also reported in the Mi-8 forum but the issue might be caused by this one.

In Mi-8 Campaign Spring tension Mission 11 there is a WP hold which should be stopped by a Stop condition. Hold is set on SP and should be stopped by a flag. The trigger which should turn on the flag is triggered but the units never start moving, seems like the stop condition for the hold doesn't work.

It's a mission start issue. If there are triggers, flags or holds set at mission start they are not recognized. I can't believe more missions aren't hosed by this. Was reported as fixed but it's not.
