Tacview issues:

Yes, and no. FC2 can use tacview's support for DCS. Neverminf what tacview "says", you can have recording even if unchecked.

Go to:

HDD:\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Config\Export

Open Config.lua and edit:

EnableExportScript = false

to:

EnableExportScript = true

Open Export.lua, and at the end of the file add following line:

dofile("./Config/Export/TacviewExportBlackShark.lua")

Extract attached archive and place file TacviewExportBlackShark.lua into map HDD:\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Config\Export

For editing do not use Windows Notepad, but either Notepad2 or Notepad++

Hi Renato - I followed your instructions (although I used Windows Notepad) and it's worked wonderfully. Thank you - hopefully now I can figure out why I keep getting shot down!

GunSlingerAUS, feel free to PM me with a link to an ACMI file if you want help figuring out what's going wrong. I'm not an expert (I only started flying fighters instead of strikers with FC2) but I enjoy the analysis work and might learn something too. :)

@DetroitDieseL

Sorry to hear you have problems.

Are you sure that your changes were saved?

Here you have originals, as edited so it works on my PC. There is really nothing different apart from those two lines, try to compare with your files (or post them here): Desktop.rar

Also, attached is default Config folder, unedited (extract to to a separate place, you may overwrite your custom settings if you use this files): Config.rar

@DetroitDieseL

Your files look OK to me, they are identical to my. So it is working OK now?

As for pilot names, I guess we will have to wait until Vyrtuoz makes new version of Tacview...

Glad to help, especially cos there are people on this forum that helped me a lot with same issues :)

Bare in mind, I'm not expert with LUA, just copying/pasting what smarten then I have made. Kudos goes to Vyrtuoz and others, but this ain't Oscars, so no list this time around :D

For file location, create a map beforehand, say MyTacviews in folder HDD:\LOFC2\

Then open TacviewExportBlackShark.lua and find line:

-- Create a new log file for each mission

self.AcmiFile=io.open("./Temp/Tacview-"..os.date("%Y%m%d-%H%M%S")..".txt.acmi","wb");

Temp is current location, you may change that with MyTacviews.

Filename is formed like:

Tacview- is prefix

os.date calls date and time from your operating system, and writes it in form:

%Y - year

%m - month

%d - day

%H - hour

%M - minutes

%S - seconds

And then it adds suffix in form:

.txt.acmi

Then it looks like:

Tacview-20100414-123010.txt.acmi

If you want it too look like

MyFlight_2010-04-14_12-30-10.txt.acmi

Change above to:

self.AcmiFile=io.open("./MyTacviews/MyFlight_"..os.date("%Y-%m-%d_%H-%M-%S")..".txt.acmi","wb");

EDIT:

for tacview 0.95 edit file

TacviewExportDCS.lua
