IvanK Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I think the Canopy Open and Canopy Close Key bindings are operating in reverse. In my Setup The Keybindings are: Canopy Open L CTL C ----- However In game this combination actually Closes the canopy Canopy Close L SHF C ----- However In game this combination actually Opens the canopy.
VH-Rock Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Same for me too mate. And my canopy seems to open with a very low fps... it's strange. The sim runs fine, I open the canopy and it goes with a stutter, but everything else remains smooth Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Virtual Ultimate Fighters - Lead (P-47) - 2020...

pieceofmind Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) Same for me too mate. And my canopy seems to open with a very low fps... it's strange. The sim runs fine, I open the canopy and it goes with a stutter, but everything else remains smooth I've noticed the same thing too. Even more noticeable is that while the canopy open/close sound plays the engine sound seems to vanish, with a definite silence of at least 1 second or so after the sound stops before you can hear the engine again. Such a bug with the sound really kills the immersion at that point. Something about the canopy open/close sound doesn't sound right either. Almost as if it's mono channel - only playing on one channel depending on the head position (EDIT - pretty sure that's not the issue). Maybe it's too loud. It's hard to say exactly. effte Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I've had the vanishing engine sound while cranking the canopy consistently. Last night though, without having changed anything, the canopy cranking sound was back to normal sound level and playing in parallell with the engine sound. I cannot thing of anything I've done which could cause this. I hadn't been playing with system configuration or software configuration at all. Just different consecutive sessions in the simulator. Exactly the kind of thing you don't want to hear when trying to track down a bug, I know... Lucky Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I thought it was me. I have the canopy controls mapped to my Warthog speedbrake switch. Pull back to open, push forward to close, but since upgrading to 1.2.0 it's backwards.
