Currenthill Assets Pack Announcement We are excited to announce a new partnership with Currenthill, which will bring many of his outstanding ground vehicles, aircraft, and ship AI assets to DCS. Currenthill is well known in the DCS community for his excellent mod packs and these AI assets will be added to the Core engine free for all of you to enjoy. A huge amount of work has gone into integrating the assets; creating Levels of Detail; generating IR textures; adding desert, woodland and winter textures; creating damaged and destroyed models, and more. In parallel, we are creating new weapons like the Iskander, ATACMS, and IRIS-T SLM missiles to support these new assets. Some assets will also add new capabilities such as the IRIS-T surface to air missile system that features active radar-guidance paired with infrared-guidance; this makes it a deadly adversary. This first set of Currenthill assets will include the FV101 and the lightweight FV107 armoured vehicle for your South Atlantic missions; the Tor M2 and Pantsir S1 for short range and air defense systems; and enhanced Russian Main Battle Tanks (MBT) like the T-90A and T-90M. The M-ATV, M1083 tactical truck, and M1130 command vehicle will also be included for your Mid-East missions. For your European theatre missions, you’ll have a diverse range of new assets such as the Project 22160 Patrol Ship and air assets including the Mi-28N attack helicopter and the Tu-95MS bomber equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles. For ground operations, you'll gain access to the BMPT Terminator IFV, the TOS-1A multiple rocket launcher, the 9K720 Iskander short range ballistic missile, the T-84 Oplot-M, and the T-64BV MBTs. Additionally, the modern IRIS-T SLM medium-range SAM and the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) that features both Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) and Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) will also be at your disposal. We look forward to adding additional Currenthill assets in the future. The first iteration of the Currenthill Assets Pack will contain: FV101 Scorpion LT FV107 Scimitar CRV T-90A MBT T-90M MBT T-84 Oplot-M MBT T-64 Bv 2017 MBT M1130 Stryker ICV M-ATV MRAP BMPT Terminator IFV 9K720 Iskander SRBM (with 9M723K1) M142 GMLRS MRL (with M30A1/M31 GMLRS) M142 ATACMS MRL (with M39A1 ATACMS) Pantsir S1 SPAAGM (with 57E6) Tor M2 SHORAD (with 9M338) TOS-1A MRL (with MO.1.01.04M) M1083 MTV Truck IRIS-T SLM LN SAM (with IRIS-T SLM) IRIS-T SLM STR SAM IRIS-T SLM CP SAM Tu-95MS Bomber (with Kh-101 and Kh-555) Mi-28N Attack Helicopter (with Ataka and Igla) Project 22160 Patrol Ship with SA-15 (Tor-M2) Project 22160 Patrol Ship Each Asset comes with: High resolution textures LODs for both model and destroyed model Custom sounds Animations Summer, desert and winter liveries FLIR textures Encyclopedia entries We continue working on the integration of the assets into the DCS Core, and we look forward to sharing more details soon. A special thanks to Currenthill for bringing you all these tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, ships, and AI aircraft that will provide even more interesting and engaging missions to DCS. Bye Phant

All the Quick Missions (Instant Actions) for the Warbirds (at least the P-51, Spitfire, FW-109A, FW-109D and Bf-109) make use of the WWII assets pack. This renders them useless for anyone that only owns the Map and the Planes. I believe that these should be: - Correctly marked in the Mission selector as requiring an extra package - There should DEFINETELY be a version that doesn't require the assets pack if the pack is not included with the map, nor required for any of the above modules Furthermore, there are some assets that are free from the assets pack and included with everyone's DCS copy, so those should be used whenever possible. All in all, I think it's not acceptable that EVERY SINGLE INSTANT ACTION for the Warbirds requires you to buy another product.

Hello All. I really love Cold War DCS era. Old jets and helicopters. But fly over some modern maps can be frustrating. Too modern Airfields, buildings and stuff. If you want to add some Tu-95 or B-1 to the stand, you will be sad because super low resolution of old models. So I realized that for really cool gameplay the best way is to have special Cold War asset pack. It will be cool for reproduction of historical events in singleplayer, or even some Cold War serverswill use it. There may be some special stuff like Soviet KM-1 ekranoplan, some amphibious hovercrafts, special trucks with big jet drone indide, bombers like first Tu-22, Tu-95(I know about mod), B-70 Valkyrie, SR-71 Blackbird, some cool tanks as IT-1 Dragon or BRDM with 5 guided rockets Malutka. It will really refresh cold war scene and add new tasks and tactics. Also will be cool to control it with Combined Arms

Hawk 1-1 and 181st_Theuce attacked Leander class frigates at +00:46:00 and the ships Seacat missiles were fired to both GBU-8 HOBOS bombs and the aircrafts with very high tracking accuracy, shooting down GBU-8's with one shot and at 51.40 one of the ships fired two Seacat and guided to both GBU-8 and aircraft also there were 3 ships and their launcher can carry only 4 seacats per ship but they fired 20 missiles within very short time period. So there is 3 problems, the first one is Seacat's are very accurate, they can even shoot down a GBU-8 bomb, second one is one ship is guiding 2 Seacat missiles at the same time, one to the aircraft and the other one to the GBU-8 bomb at 51.40, the third one is unrealistic reload time, firing 20 missiles without any delay. Hello everyone, The DCS P-47 is very well done. However, improvements to the module will always attract more consumers. So, there are some inaccuracies apparent in the DCS P-47D cockpit. My Background: I have been involved at the CAF for 7 years. Specifically, CAF SoCal Wing. Have spoken and worked with vets from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam and friend of during this period. We also have a private library with hundreds of technical manuals and documents. With this, I provide only precise information with my findings. For the DCS P-47, there are 4 features missing that I would like to bring forth. 1. The P-47D-30 with gyro sight features a dimmer knob and sight selector on the same unit. The same unit left of the DCS P-51D K-14 gyro sight as well. The DCS P-47D is missing this control unit on the right thigh panel. Picture: (4th photo) 2. Tail Warning Radar – same as DCS P-51D (Field mod). The light and bell are located left of the K-14 sight in the P-47D-40 (Only model with evidence). The control unit for the field mod is located behind the IFF destructor box. Picture on unit in cockpit: (2nd photo) Picture of unit for proof on P-47N manual: (3rd photo) 3. Rear View Mirror – in the form of: plexiglass on canopy, truck mirror reused on front canopy, dedicated mirror inside cockpit. Field mod. This was more favorable than the tail radar. Not every P-47 had this, but experienced pilots knew the mirror was important. -Picture of Variations are included: (1st, 6th, 7th) 4. Pilot Headrest – this should be factory. Pictures provided. Again, the module is very well done and it’s obvious the developers have created a warbird module never done as accurately and precisely as this depicted. However, improvement is always a beneficial virtue to seek and so I believe these additions will only make DCS stronger in WWII. Thank you all, Rob
