When I flick the autopilot switch into Alt hold the plane will keep claiming or descending and ATT hold will also not hold an attitude of the jet. The heading and steering on the roll switch do work though. I have ruled out my HOTAS by testing with it unplugged. I have also tested my paddle switch. It works normally when I have the roll set to heading and steerpoint and deactivates fine when depressed and when released the plane goes back to the heading. When I just use Alt and Att hold the paddle has no effect due to the main issue. Fuel door is closed, gear is up, and trim autopilot disconnect is set to norm. The issue happens on hot and cold start so nothing with the alignment is causing it. The switch is also staying in position so the jet isn't turning it off either. Anyone got other ideas?

I can not move the mouse to orbit my aircraft in F2 view on a Replay .trk This happened to me a few times now. I did a flight on a multiplayer server with a friend today and I went to check out the replay but noticed that it wont let me move around in F2 external view to change the angle. Its very strange. It's hard locked to one angle I can't orbit my jet with the mouse like normal. I tried to use a command called "camera local input layer toggle" to see if that would do anything but it didn't. This started happening to me around the time of the DEC 2023 update. So devs pleas help or fix this issue. FYI I was flying on multithreaded.

Hello Everyone, I am trying to find an easy way for mission end-users to change properties in my mission script without having to interact directly with the .lua file, and I thought that a brilliant way to do this would be to have them change flag values in the mission editor and have the script pull these ME flag values using trigger.misc.getUserFlag(). Here's an example of how I've implemented it in the code: local exampleValue = trigger.misc.getUserFlag('exampleValue') The only problem is that this invariably returns 0, even if I set the flag value to the desired value (in this case, 200). I have made sure that the flag is set at mission start in the mission editor, I've made sure there are no typos in both the flag name in the ME and in the code. I checked the documentation on the hoggitworld wiki and the description of the function is "Returns the value of a user flag". After some time trying to troubleshoot, I have come to the conclusion that this function is not supposed to work with the ME flags, but instead it can only interact with flags set via its sister function trigger.action.setUserFlag(). Is this correct, or am I doing something horribly wrong? If this function isn't meant to allow you to interact with ME flags, then what purpose does it serve? What is a 'user flag'? Sorry if this seems trivial, I have relatively little experience with LUA scripting for DCS World.

Graphics Settings Not Optimized for Smooth Gameplay
Modismos posted a topic in Game Performance Bugs
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble getting my graphics settings optimized for smooth gameplay in DCS. My system should be able to handle it (Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 3080, 32GB RAM), but I keep experiencing stutters and FPS drops, especially in VR. I've tried adjusting the settings like shadows, terrain textures, and anti-aliasing, but I can't seem to find the right idioms balance between visual quality and performance. Does anyone have a recommended setup for settings that works well for both regular and VR gameplay? I would love some tips on what settings impact performance the most and how I can tweak them to get a smoother experience. Thanks in advance. Elena, UK- 8 replies
