Eddie doesn't have access to that document either.

?

Well that's nice for you. However, the real world TTPs are exactly as PFunk has described.

He obviously has some knowledge of the TTPs. At the least he has access to real pilots.

Regardless of whether or not he has access to the AFTTPs or real pilots, both of you guys have knowledge that we don't have access to, which makes it unreasonable to down-talk someone who doesn't have that knowledge when they can't get it in the first place...or claiming things were explained earlier in the thread when they weren't.

I think the part you're missing is that people who don't know shouldn't talk as if they do. If that hadn't happened in the first place we'd still be talking about braking.

"ENO"

Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret.

That's a big misunderstanding, as I was not talking as if I did know. I was stating the situation as my logic understood it. Do I have to put an "I don't know what I'm talking about" disclaimer to every bloody thing I say for you guys?

Scratch that, already did. Check sig.

This isn't the first time my statements have been mistaken for "talking about something I don't know about"--not just on these forums but across the internet for most of my life--and it's always worse when dealing with people in the aviation field. The reason as to why still eludes me.

Herherher. No, it's obviously an issue with my wording, but I don't understand why.

I'm done with this thread anyway. I got my answers to the problem at hand four pages ago, and I won't dignify any more personal jabs with a response.

I can see this is a lost cause so I'll simply leave you with this. Eddie has knowledge and information, but like I said he does not have access to the A-10 document you referenced.

That being said...don't be so sensitive I didn't take it as anyone was talking down to you or anyone else in this thread.

Makes logical sense, but doesn't match what the AFI11-2A-10CV3 says. It says to run engines up to 90%, release brakes, smoothly add power. If you add power you're not at 90% any more...

What doesn't make sense? You run engines up to 90%, release breaks and then smoothly add power. It doesn't mention anywhere that you must keep your engines at 90% during takeoff.
