Can the AI be told to shoot directly at a bridge versus beneath it?

While they were still able to demolish it, I think it takes less ammo if they get a direct hit?

Most of their missiles did not hit (5 out of 8).

Does attack map object + set weapons to AGM not work? (I haven't made many bridge attack missions so I don't know myself).

And if by "warlike" you mean realistic, I think LGB is probably the most realistic option.

I think in many cases bridges and ships are the same in that they don't accurately reflect being hit by missiles.

Then consider that a span may need a 2000lb bomb to destroy it in exchange for 6 or more mavericks- assuming they all hit.

As for being "warlike and badass" I can't imagine how AI standing off at 8 miles throwing eggs at something is either of those things.

I did try Attack Map Object, set it on the bridge in the ME, but they shoot the water beneath it. I think 3 AGM65-G are good enough to blow a part of the span.

If you want to check out the bridge, it's south of Tkibuli

Tkibuli is N42º21'27" E043º00'03" roughly.

There is a lake and I am trying to setup an ambush on an enemy convoy.

But it would be more badass and warlike for a wing of A10 to use AGMs to take out a bridge.

no, it would be more Hollywood. The only reason a real A-10 flight would use Mavericks to bring down a bridge would be they had no other options. The heaviest maverick has a 300-lb blast-frag warhead, which is going to do about as much good against a bridge as a giant shotgun.

The proper way to bring down a bridge with modern munitions is a 2000lb laser-guided penetrator (such as the GBU-15) dropped onto the supporting piles.

More a workaround than a solution, but can you adjust the flightplan so that the attacker is aligned with the bridge? Regardless of weapon, that should increase the chance of a hit.

Or you could try to trigger an explosion on the bridge, I'm just not sure about the condition. I think I read that "Bomb in zone" really only works for bombs. But AFAIK that's how it's done in one of the A-10C quick missions - the bridge explosion gets triggered when any of the infantry units on the bridge are dead.
