Maximus_Lazarus Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Do you just go in a server and play, or do you practice specific things like aquiring targets , missile evasion , and other against the A.I ? if so, labels on yes/no ? In short, how do i become pro as fast as possible ?? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
AegisFX Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Tacview and playing with people better than you. Ask for advice, watch what they are doing. Use single play with AI to learn specifics as far as how long you have between a missile launch and when its thruster cuts off. Same with seeing what movements lose the missile, and how long you need to perform it. blackbelter Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Right now I find practicing basic flying very interesting. Things such as a perfect landing is very satisfying!
Zabuzard Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 If you have a friend I'd recommend u train with him. Just joining a public server isn't soo a big help for me. I train creating some scenarios e.g. 1v1, me:IR and enemy:Radar etc. , some A2G stuff, navigation in poor weather conditions and so on For combat related maneuvers I recommend the TacView which records the whole flight and after that provides u with a ton of tools (take a look on YT or so)
winchesterdelta1 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I practice with trial and error trying to fight better pilots than me. Sometimes i force a tactic for a couple hours to see how it will turn out each time. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
Frostie Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Do you just go in a server and play, or do you practice specific things like aquiring targets , missile evasion , and other against the A.I ? if so, labels on yes/no ? In short, how do i become pro as fast as possible ?? If by pro you mean kill lots and survive in MP then it's not too hard to be at that level. You might play non stop for a year and think you're pro but the reality is it's not too hard to become quite competent in PvP, all it takes is keeping good situational awareness, discipline and an understanding of how all the weapons work. There are so many guys out there that unwittingly ask to get a face full of missile. Labels on or off you will learn from both. Against the AI or against others the more practice the better. The main ingredient is achieving a standard then not letting go, if you stop for more than a couple of weeks you will loose that edge, the basic knowledge is there but like most things the ability to put into practice is perishable. But there is so much more to fast jet than single player kill lots and survive. If you want to be a better fighter pilot then join a squad or get together with more experienced guys. You'll obviously learn the tricks and knowledge they've built up plus you'll also learn how to operate more effectively as a unit that is when the real learning curve kicks in. Zabuzard Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 For theoretical combat maneuvering i recommend the video : Art of the kill Which basicly has all theorecital stuff in it
winchesterdelta1 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Ow and reading these forums helped me the most. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
bigcountry Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Jump on a server that has TS available. Ask some questions and most of the time they are more than willimg to assist. Then they may try to recruit you lol. Fly with a wingman too, asked him questions while you guys are flying to the obj. I fly on the 104th server for 1.28 and those guys are extremely helpful. I still get shot down like crazy though lol. But... you have to keep taking it up and learn from the guys that are killing you. Tbe forum has aslo been very helpful!! Communication is Key
